Neil..I remember a few years ago you were slightly embarrassed to appear on EMBN with Steve. Then the Levo SL got your attention and finally now the sheer Fun Fun Fun of a Full Fat Emtb has got you totally hooked. The magic of Emtbs is that they turn us into gleeful kids again and broaden our ability to explore terrain multiplying the joy of one of mans greatest gravity cheating inventions the bicycle. They are a Time Machine.

Going from a Turbo Levo Gen 2 to an Orbea Rise M10, I can say the 5 kilos in weight difference is noticeable. Also, we ride a lot of XC/Enduro single track, and the weight and over-powered nature of the Levo makes all that power unusable. So, if you're a single tack trail rider, I'd go lighter and less power. Easier to handle and you use more of the power more efficiently.

Get that KSL a Fox 40 with a 190 air shaft and over stroke the rear to 180. That's the best park ebike going. Also mullet it with a cascade eyelet for DHX2. Had mine at fort bill and it was insane

@@ChupacabraOffroad cascade DHX2 eyelet it's called. 75 buck, can only be used on a fox coil. I'm also 6ft 2 and have an S5. We can't run this bike in short as the CS is far too short for our reach but this link keeps geo fairly similar so can be run in long. I've not seen any down sides really. 160/165 cranks might help though. I'd also get a 190 front air shaft to keep geo the same. I run the headset in steep at my local trails with the 40s then slack for park days. I posted my build on emtb forum on fb try find it it's unreal haha

Both are great but i do prefer the more stable and planted feeling you get from the extra mass of a full power bike... plus the extra power when you point it uphill. Fit riders will enjoy both fairly equally, but less fit riders will enjoy the extra support of a full power, especially during a group ride. The low and mid power motors generally require a higher pedalling cadence to get the most power out of them.

At 63kg l am nearly back to my birth weight and I much prefer a heavier bike to push me through downhill rock gardens. I have a Trek Fuel EXe 9.7 nice to ride by myself but it has half the range and knocks me around on long 30min rock garden decents compared to my heavier full power Levo.(DOWNHILL BOTH WAYS) E=Mtb²

Why not properly mullet the KSL? I've used the Levo SL-2 flip chips to get all of the BB height back and it also shortens the chainstay a bit for more agility.
    I'm 5'9", S3 170 dropper and the bike feels 100% now.
Overall, it's my favourite bike to ride. I have various full fats too, so I can directly compare.

Specialized advertised the SL Turbo Levo as the unicorn. I paid $22,000 for mine, and trying now to sell it asking $11,000. Reason being, it is NOT good at anything. Tiny motor battery combo means I can't keep up w any other emtb, ok, but what about the downhill you ask. Well, at 42 lbs, it is still a heavy bike, so no, this is not recommended, and again, I own one, and trying to sell it. PS components are great, and I do like the e-shifters.
