We live not far from here, and it was heartbreaking to see this ruin. Thank you so much for publicising this bit of Staffordshire, which I've known all my life.

Thank you for this video, ive always wanted to explore this as i lived right down the road in Huntington. I remember reading that there was plans to restore it as part of funding in return for building a big new build estate nearly. It would be a lovely place to restore and open to the public as its so close to stafford and cannock. You can see on old pictures that the two remaining wings were connected to a larger central building which is now gone.

It's absolute sacrilege that this is allowed to happen. All that effort that went into the design and build of such a beautiful place. Thank you for showing us 💜

This estate belonged to a man called Ethan Buxton , I was told he bought as a 900 plus acre estate and sold the lead of the roof of the hall for more than he paid for the whole thing , in his later life he married the mother of my fathers best friend I can remember speaking to him when I was about 10 when he pulled up in his bright green mini to say hello

This is brilliant, well done. I used to fish the lake here about 30+ years ago. T'was literally 'in the middle of nowhere' and really peacefull. I'm not sure the lakes still there and not filled in. Seems I was one year old when it was demolished 😞 Going to share this on a couple of FB groups. Edit. I wonder if the lake nearby was the halls pool we fished called 'Lodgerail Pool' ? Another edit...Yes it was 🙂

This is brilliant. Have subscribed. Such a shame this is just abandoned. Surely like you said, these could become apartments. You can see how they could Co habit with the farm land. Take care and look forward to watching your other videos, I’m fairly local myself as I live in Newport in Shropshire. ❤
