It's such a special person who gives back like this. Especially when he's obviously successful enough to just be making heaps of money from his talents
This is why it's so important to be your true authentic self! When you're aligned with your passion and living your truth it inspires those around us in ways we don't even know
The closing message about action creating ripples was a strong takeaway. It’s a good reminder that what we do matters, even if we don’t see it right away!
Absolutely right, Jeff! For those of you in the comments, Jeff’s talk made the top 50 TEDx talks of 2024. Well done, sir! Your message is an idea worth spreading & worthy of such an award!
To think that he was just a child doing juggling shows in the kitchen of his parents home. Amazing how little moments often spark something much bigger.
Jeff's honestly about his failures with four-walling is aside of show business we don't often hear about. It's easy to think "They've got a show in Las Vegas, must be rolling in it"
The fact that Peter Panic didn’t see himself as an influencer was really cool to me! Just a dude going about his life doing things for the joy of it and having that much of an impact, it's really wonderful.
I know Jeff, he is the real deal. He gives back so much to his community and anywhere really that will help others in need of a smile. Just the time in puts into making the charity stuff happen is commendable, I don't know how he does it all even with the help of his charity board and volunteers.
The way he brought his childhood hero on stage for his last show was so dang sweet and wholesome.. Kinda makes me want to reach out to some of the people who inspired me when I was younger!
his story about almost giving up hit hard. Makes me think about all the times I've wanted to throw in the towel on my own projects. It's reassuring to know that even successful people have those moments of doubt.
It's wild how he went from being the kid picked out of the audience to headlining his own show. just goes to show you never know where life might take you. makes me excited for what could happen in my own future.
I've always believed that laughter is the best medicine, but I never really thought about it in the context of sick kids in hospitals. It's heartwarming to know that there are people out there dedicated to bringing smiles and joy to those who need it most.
The part about his grandma being his first audience was so relatable. Reminds me of when I used to put on little shows for my family as a kid. It's cool to see how those small moments of encouragement can lead to something big
His story of doing charity shows reminded me of a time I joined a local group to perform at senior centers. It wasn’t fancy, but the reactions we got made it all worth it. It really makes you see the value in using your skills for good.
How fantastic is this man!!! Even his non profit aligns with his higher purpose. Using his skills and recruiting others to bring smiles to kids in hospitals is such a meaningful way to give back.
@miamay626 aww, thank you! That's very sweet of you to say! I've had a LOT of support over the years from family and friends. I have not done any of this alone! Even discerning my true passions came from countless hours of talking openly and honestly with supportive friends and family. I am very grateful for this support!
Wasn't expecting to get emotional over a juggler's life story... but that hospital story really got to me. It's amazing how a simple act of kindness can have such a huge impact. Makes me want to do more to help others, even in small ways.
@CouchSurferWorldsBest thank you for watching! I love that you're applying my talk to your own life and then determining actions you can take from it :) That was my hope!
love how he keeps it real about the struggles. too many success stories skip over the hard parts and just make us "normal people" feel like we're less-than
@TheRealJay-Jay 👊 Gotta keep it real! I still struggle on a regular basis with a lot of these issues- cash flow, good days/bad days, making the wrong decision about one thing or the other. You just have to keep going and adjust along the way...
I like the thought of us having more influence than we realize... that simple moments or gestures can really impact a persons whole life.. it's kind of really beautiful to think about
the way he talks about hospital visits really puts things in perspective. Here I am stressing about little things, and this guy's out there trying to make sick kids smile.
The story about the grandfather in the hospital and how much his visit meant to them really got to me. It's crazy how a small gesture can have such a huge impact on someone's life.
I think the best way to be a positive influence is to be exactly who you are. Authenticity does something really amazing both neurologically and externally. People are drawn to those who are living in a way that resonates with how that person wants to live
yeah absolutely, like I doubt Peter Panic realized how "influential" he was being as a kids performer but the way he inspired Jeff and everything that has led to has made a huge impact. It's really cool to think about
Wish I had Jeff's boldness to just follow a dream. Maybe it's something that's only possible when you're young and don't have anyone relying on you. How quickly that window closes.
The fact that Jeff reached out to thank his idol and give back just shows what a great person he is. It's not often you get to thank someone who inspired you like that.
This is a nice message, I think a lot of people struggle with wanting to make a difference but also living simply in terms of minimizing harm and wanting to live quietly.
Finding meaning in his charity work while he was struggling in his career and that's the thing that made all the difference. It's just proof that it's all bigger than just us.
the concept of everyday influencers is really making me rethink my daily interactions. never know when you might be someone's "peter panic" moment. kinda puts things in perspective.
@milesprimrose5990 100%! I will say, in my experience at least, it gets easier. You eventually develop what I refer to as a "bias for action" when taking action actually becomes your default way of operating.
That hospital visit story had me choking up. Made me remember when I was in the hospital as a kid, and how much little things meant to me. Maybe I should look into volunteering or something.
This was super motivational! I love how Jeff’s story shows that no dream is too big, but also that you have to be willing to put in the work and handle the setbacks along the way.
The reminder to focus on what we CAN do rather than what we can't is so powerful. It's easy to get bogged down by limitations, but we all have the ability to make a difference in our own unique way.
his take on being an "everyday influencer" is pretty powerful. never thought of myself as having much influence, but maybe we all do in our own way. kinda makes you wanna step up and be a better person.
I'm loving how he talked about how we all have the power to make a difference in people's lives, even if it seems small. It's a good reminder to be mindful of how we interact with others.
@UncleUnivers I agree! I think people sometimes get "stuck" when they don't immediately have something in their life that they consider to be a passion, instead of continuing to take action and move in the direction of what they are good at + what they enjoy doing. In my life, for example, as a kid I was passionate about juggling, but that passion over the years has evolved into a life I never could have imagined when I was 22 years old doing juggling shows. But I kept pulling on the thread...
Loving his positivity and ability to turn setbacks into opportunities! Really speaks to how we can see failure as a stepping if we're willing to keep pushing forward
The Peter Panic story is wild. It's like a real-life "pay it forward" situation. Makes me wonder about all the people who've had an impact on my life without even knowing it.
I never really thought about how much a random street performer could change someone's life. It's wild to think about all those little moments that might've shaped who I am today.
@realminipowers right?? It's totally wild! I invite you to start noting those little moments when they happen. Write them down if you can! I believe that being more mindful of these little moments of others' influence on you will make you realize how powerful YOU can be as an agent of positive change... someone who can influence others with YOUR OWN MOMENTS of influence too ❤
Man I love how much he included Peter Panic in all this, from the initial phone call to having him in his show... it's obvious that Jeff was not only impacted by him but is also grateful for him and that's a really awesome thing to acknowledge
man, the story about tyler and his grandpa hit me right in the feels. it's amazing how a small act of kindness can have such a huge impact. definitely gonna try to spread more positivity from now on.
@sashapetrovic1678 It’s incredible how a small act of kindness can make such a big difference. Definitely inspired to spread more positivity as well! 🌟
I actually volunteered at a children's hospital once, and I remember how the smallest interactions could brighten their whole day. It’s incredible that he’s doing this on a larger scale
@tetrusexpert thank you! I'm so glad you've had experience volunteering in children's hospitals. I know you understand how powerful it is. It's amazing what this can do for your mindset, perspective, gratitude, courage, etc.
Perfectly balanced story. I like how he used humor to talk about his struggles. Kept it light, but you could still feel the weight of what he went through.
@georgemanu thank you! I appreciate you noticing and appreciating the ebbs and flows of the talk! It was challenging cause I'm such a high-energy goofball 😂 I still had to "be me," but there are definitely some emotionally charged parts of this story.
The story about the little boy in the hospital brought tears to my eyes. It's a beautiful reminder of the profound impact a small act of kindness can have on someone going through a tough time.
The part about his nonprofit work bringing smiles to hospitalized kids warmed my heart. Not everyone uses their success for stuff like that so it's so special when you get to see it
I think it's really cool that all of this came from a random run-in with a street performer but I daresay, judging from Jeff's energy and bravado, that was always his path. He's just lucky to have been shown it so early on.
It's wild to think about how a random encounter with a street performer could completely alter the trajectory of someone's life. It really makes you appreciate the power of seizing opportunities when they come your way.
Hearing about his childhood dream of performing in Vegas coming true through hard work and determination is so motivating. It's a great reminder to never give up on my own dreams.
@farahjuniper9214 YES! I could not agree more about the power of face-to-tace, in-person influencing! I think it's so cool to think about the fact that Peter had all of this influence before the internet, before social media, before cell phones even. It's a great reminder that we can use these tools to amplify our influence, but it doesn't start there.
I love the subtleties of this talk, like he's not telling you exactly what to do or how to do it but he is leading by example, and that's really wholesome
man, I can't imagine how surreal it must've been for him to actually have peter panic on stage with him after all those years! that's the kinda stuff you dream about as a kid but never think will actually happen, ya know?
@earlyeaston - thanks for watching, and sharing! Reconnecting with Peter was one of the highlights of my life for sure. I'm grateful that we are still friends :)

Thank you @user-tl9jn9hb8t! Your words mean the world to me! Pursuing your dreams is an incredible adventure, and it's definitely worth it. Keep following your passions, and remember that the journey is as important as the destination. Let's continue to inspire each other! 🙌
I'm blown away by his hustle and determination, even when he was struggling with money and setbacks, to have been so steadfast on his path is really admirable.
Going from kitchen shows to performing in Vegas is so cool! Talk about following your passion! It's inspiring to see someone turn their childhood dream into a reality. Makes me wonder what I could achieve if I really committed to something I love.
My kid had to spend a week in hospital and it was so hard on all of us. I wish someone like Jeff had of been there to lift his spirits! I'm sure the parents of all those kids who do get visits are eternally grateful.
Seeing Peter Panic join him on stage for his final Vegas show after all those years brought such a smile to me face! What an incredible full-circle moment that must have been for both of them.
Ahhhh this is SUCH an incredible TEDx!! SO inspired! We need to lean into being the hero in the stories of our lives... taking full ownership of the influence we have on people we interact with on a daily basis. This is the best type of influence... it's often not the big grandiose gestures that make the difference... but the intimate, everyday ones that can make "real, lasting change." :) Great work, Jeff!
Listening to his journey, I'm reminded that success is rarely a straight line. There are twists and turns, ups and downs, but if we stay true to ourselves and keep pushing forward, amazing things can happen. It's the mindset I want to carry with me as I navigate my own path.
Thank you @thisismindfulness! Having Peter join me for the last show was truly special. Moments like these remind me why I do what I do. Humble and genuine all the way!
gotta say, i was impressed by how he handled the tough times in vegas. maxing out credit cards and barely scraping by, but still doing charity shows? that's commitment.
the way he talked about his parents encouraging him to do that first charity show was so sweet. It's a good reminder of how important supportive parents can be.
@happyriley aww thank you for noticing 🥰 Yea, my parents are the best! A lot of family members say - 'You have to do what you love' - but it's much more difficult in practice to support nontraditional journeys and career paths over many years. My parents did that for me, and they still do that for me to be honest. I am very grateful for that 🙏
I haven't been nearly as successful as this guy but the little success I _do_ have I owe to my family and friends, they really helped me gain momentum. I can't even imagine doing it all alone the way Jeff did out in vegas
One thing I loved was how he was so open about his failures and struggles. Not a lot of people talk about the hard parts like that, and I think that creates unrealistic expectations for people trying to achieve similar things.
@BasketofDreams I completely agree. More people need to be open and honest about their struggles. If not, people think success is supposed to come quickly and easily so they get thrown off once they face real hardships.
Only Jeff knows how to make you laugh and choke up in the same 20 minutes!! Thank you for your vulnerability and ability to tell a story that hits home. Two key lessons for me: 1) the reminder to not diminish your own influence!! 2) Action creates influence, intentions are great, but without action that is all they are!
“Jeff the Juggler!”
Loved your talk, Jeff! What a wonderful story and life you have led, my friend. Truly incredible and inspirational. ❤️
His high school charity show sounded pretty great and easy to see the impact it's made on him now in terms of acts of service. What a great guy.
It's such a special person who gives back like this. Especially when he's obviously successful enough to just be making heaps of money from his talents
The person who had the biggest impact on Jeff's life would never have know it before he told him. That's a thought that could stay with me for years.
I can't imagine how good of a feeling that first charity gig would have been for Jeff
I can't imagine how fulfilling it would be to bring that much joy into places that are so in need of it.
Man I love hearing stories like this, people just being so sure of what they want at a young age and going for it. It's really inspiring
This is why it's so important to be your true authentic self! When you're aligned with your passion and living your truth it inspires those around us in ways we don't even know

It's really cool that he calls out how people don't want to be the hero of their own story. I've seen that a lot
Absolutely bawling at all those happy kids faces towards the end
I wish I could be involved with something like that!
Jeff's honestly about his failures with four-walling is aside of show business we don't often hear about. It's easy to think "They've got a show in Las Vegas, must be rolling in it"
Jeff’s story about his charity shows is such a great reminder of the power of perspective. Helping others can really change your outlook on life!
The fact that Peter Panic didn’t see himself as an influencer was really cool to me! Just a dude going about his life doing things for the joy of it and having that much of an impact, it's really wonderful.
So wholesome that this is about real life influence and not just online instagram/tiktok stuff

It was literally just like one second but that clip of the girl smiling while holding the spinning plate was so precious
This might be the most wholesome thing I've seen all month.
The way he brought his childhood hero on stage for his last show was so dang sweet and wholesome.. Kinda makes me want to reach out to some of the people who inspired me when I was younger!
yeah I think it shows just how genuine he is about the gratitude side of things

I think part of why Peter Panic is so endearing is that he was so humble about it too
The fact that Jeff reached out to thank his idol and give back just shows what a great person he is. It's not often you get to thank someone who inspired you like that.

I really liked his vulnerability in sharing his struggles and doubts along the way. It makes his success feel that much more earned and meaningful.
for sure and super relatable
Seeing Peter Panic join him on stage for his final Vegas show after all those years brought such a smile to me face! What an incredible full-circle moment that must have been for both of them.
As a parent, this talk is a good reminder of how even small encouragements can shape our kids' futures in unexpected ways
@arnoldcintron1621 absolutely! I am so grateful for how my parents encouraged me growing up, in big ways and small ways...
This is such a great mindset and I tend to agree. Knowing what we want and working towards it slowly and steadily really is a winning formula.
It's amazing how he transformed a challenging experience into an opportunity to make a difference for others
So sweet of him to have Peter join him for his last show, you can till this guy is so humble and genuine.
I am very grateful for that 🙏
His story about reconnecting with Peter Panic was so touching! Really speaks to how grateful and sentimental he is.
@HeavenlyProphet thank you :) I'm a total softie haha
I haven't been nearly as successful as this guy but the little success I _do_ have I owe to my family and friends, they really helped me gain momentum. I can't even imagine doing it all alone the way Jeff did out in vegas
His message about owning our influence and taking action is so important. We all have the power to make a change.
Definitely, even if it's just setting a good example for those around us
that's it, you never know who's looking up to you
One thing I loved was how he was so open about his failures and struggles.
@@jeff_civillico Absolutely! I think there's are some very unrealistic expectations around success
@rosserl1 ahhhh thank you so much! Appreciate you!!
I wish I had his energy! but his story shows it's not just natural talent - it's years of hard work and passion too. Respect!
@themessimadetoday :)
