Looks amazing & I am glad they got it done with no real problems. My driveway is only 85' and I added 18 tons of crushed concrete. I was going to get crushed asphalt, but decided on concrete because I have a mess of concrete chunks, and in my spare time I bust it up and fill in low spots every year. Funny story - my brother came to visit and about a week after he arrived I was busting concrete and adding it to my driveway. He said stop, because he didn't want it to cut his tires. I told him he has been driving on crushed concrete for over a week. He thought it was just stones. Crushed concrete packs better than stone, and drains really well too.
Driveway is beautiful. I was holding my breath that the rain wouldn't stop progress.
The old Adage living in the Northwest: "If you can see the mountains, it's gonna rain, if you cant, it's raining" I like the dry country better. Good luck guys!
Thankfully not all of the PNW is rain soaked. I live in the Central Oregon High Desert. We see very little rainfall.

I worked in asphalt for 45 years, at todays market i can't even imagine how many thousands and thousands this cost you. Holy Macrel!! Good deal thpugh.

Yall should try to make some small greenhouse type covers for over every bed so that when it does drop down colder they are at least covered and maybe they wouldn’t die!
That’s going to make a world of difference and the kids are going to love it. Another step to getting out of the mud.

This is life changing. You will be happy with the results. We did our place about 10 years ago. Yes, there is some maintenance involved but well worth the cost.

I loved your closing words. Also wanted to leave you a little tomato growing tip. If you haven't heard it already. If , when you are planting your tomato plants, you put a whole raw un-cracked egg in the hole and then place the tomato plant on top, it will slowly release nutrients throughout the growing season. Your tomato plants will be beautiful and you won't believe the amount of tomatoes you'll get. I've done it for 4 years now and it really is amazing. Plus, it's organic.

That new pavement is going to be the greatest biking, skateboarding, rollerblading spot for the kids! Our driveway was all of those things for our kids. This area is absolutely awesome! 🚲 🛹 😀
When I saw this beautiful road, I initially thought the kids could roller skate perfectly. I don't know if they are interested or not, but I wish I had a home like this and could skate safely whenever I wanted. I love your family and I love your channel. Great to see them put down a soil separator first. Some people don't think it's needed. But in our clay soil in this part of the country - everything just sinks in and disappears without the soil separator. Good job - this will make such a difference for moving snow. Sure wish we could afford to do this.

you will love the pave. we went 30 years on gravel but only 325' and large parking area. After paved we realized what we had been missing. Grand kids loved doing kiddy art on it, and boxes of chaulk became a staple at our house.
That looks great. Now the kids can have a basketball hoop and do all kinds of fun stuff on that.
