Seeing Likka watching Trent start the fire reminds me of when my dog watched me and my mom said, “He’s studying for when he’s a human in his next life.” ❤
I love it when Allie makes an observation that comes out comical and Grayson has a big, fat grin on his face. The humor is what gets you through the tough, little moments.
🇨🇦 Trent, if u take a wet paper towel and dip it in the ash you can scrub the inside of the woodstove glass and it cleans it up spotless in seconds. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Newspaper 📰 makes the best window / glass cleaner I've ever used, it's something to do with the ink on the paper or consistency of the newspaper 🗞️ material, Idk? But I'll have to give your wet paper towel dipped in Wood Ash a try sometime and give it a go. 👍🏼
Remember that you can use your ash instead of salt on your driveway at your house in the valley or in the mountain. It doesn't damage your dogs paws like salt does.
As a guy that used a snowblower on a 140hp tractor on the 3 point, you always kept the area clean you left nothing on the ground to run into and you always used a scoop shovel to clear 3-4 ft away from any building
I know how siding pros deal with the problem. They put the siding on FIRST! The suggestion below of building a shed to cover all those penetrations is the way to go. You'll never be able to waterproof/snowproof what you have.
My husband is a Ford man, we have had 4 all driven 200,000 plus miles, so dependable, we pull campers and we also live in the mountains in the snow. Great trucks. Better cover that hole in the house right away, it's the perfect size for critters!
📌 TRENT Important: Always pull back the bellows after each blow to prevent any embers or flames from being sucked back into the bellows chamber, which could potentially damage the bellows or cause a fire hazard; the pulling action draws fresh air in, while pushing the bellows expels the air onto the fire. Hope you read this..🥴 Sorry about your bad day, they happen to all of us, and of course it could have been worse. Mistakes are life lessons that stand out in our memory so not to happen again! 😅 And if we have to fix the mistake we don't forget! 😉
Trent, i’ve been watching your channel for a while now and I’m still totally impressed with your skills. I haven’t seen anything that you can’t do once you set your mind to it. But the best part of you Trent is your attitude. I love the fact that this is a family channel and I can watch with my grandchildren and not be afraid of your language choices or the way you handle set backs. Thank you for being a good example of a real man.
Snow blower/ plow hack for gravel driveways. Take a 3" piece of PVC the length of your blade and cut a slit in the PVC, slide it on the bottom of the blade or blower box, fab some mounting brackets to attach it. The PVC will keep you from digging into the gravel. It works really well!😊
Trent reminds me so much of my son. Hardest working man I know, but if it can happen to him, it will happen. Nothing is ever easy! Chin up Trent. It’ll all work out in the end.
Just as that very tricky last piece dropped into place the word legend was heard from the song playing! So perfect. Brandon’s cutting and Everyone measuring perfectly makes you all legends in my eyes.
Trent and Allie are blessed to have such good family and friends that are there to help. The siding is nothing to what it could of been and gotta love this deep snow. That little man is what is amazing to me of how intelligent that he is able to communicate at such an early age. He is definitely another Trent in the making. God Bless.
Did you know that you can use the ash to sand, for example, an icy driveway or the stairs? It's the perfekt anti-slip material! Wish you all the best ❤
I don't understand why you guys don't shovel off the steps and around them so you don't have to get that close to the house. That's what we do here in Maine. We shovel steps and walkways, and the snowblower/plow guys get the big stuff. :D The steps in front of those double doors is so small! So easy to shovel off! Just worry about the wide areas with the snowblower.
When my grandson was three I told him, I’m your Dad Mom, he said no you’re grandma. That was so precious Leo telling Leka to stay away from the fire! He’s going to be a great big brother!
Trent you,Allie, Brandon, and Grayson worked SO HARD! You didn’t finish everything but you TRIED HARD. Don’t let the badmouth people get to you! Keep on keeping on and I will keep on praying for you all!! God bless!
Your favorite Safety monitor here. I would still use the safety fence around the fireplace. Leo could trip and fall against the hot fireplace accidentally. Not worth the risk. I know he's a big boy now and knows not to touch the hot fireplace, but as you know, accidents happen with active children, even adults. Better safe than sorry. May God be with you all this year. Allie's joy has returned to her and now she's shinning. You are greatly loved by myself and God our Father, never doubt that. ♾
It’s funny to think back how when those of us who are older growing up around dangerous things like a stove and our parents just told us to be careful. If we bumped into it and it burned, we learned a big lesson the hard way. Or, we walked around on the bench seat of our car when a parent was driving, no seatbelts. Or, riding around in a the back of pickup truck sitting on the tailgate laughing and hoping we didn’t fall out. No helmets when skateboarding or bicycling. But, this was life on a farm. Somehow we survived. Not everyone did I realize, but my oh my those were simpler times when we were allowed to be a little more daring. 😊
My friend Mary jane has a Great grandson that fell into their families fireplace and burned his hands. Bradley was 3 and he is now 6. He has had several major surgeries and half a dozen skin graphs. Mary jane is a retired nurse and she said she never seen anything so painful. One hand is still sort of webbed, but he will be okay. She said he will have more surgeries to help with the scar tissue as he grows. You’re right to be concerned. I don’t think Allie would ever take a chance with the children’s safety. It’s just who she is.
Trent, of course these comments are “after the fact”, however, words of wisdom from a 76yo: make cardboard templates. You can make precise pieces and tape them together. Use a reference or multiple that each piece can reference. The cardboard templates are far easier to carry back and forth and will not risk an expensive piece of siding.
I was freaking out because I didn't see Frank anywhere! Lika was out playing then inside but didn't see Frank ! Was so relieved when I finally got a glimpse of him.
faux brick siding would look good around the bottom to cover the hole, and would be a great and easy to go around your outside utilities. Love your channel.
It's not THAT bad, I thought it was going to be a window which would have been far far worse. I am a Chevy fan but I would choose a Ford over a Dodge any day of the week. JS Ya'll did a great job with that puzzle siding. Amazing guys!!!!
Y'all are a lot more hardy than I am. Of course I am about twice as old as you. You do have better clothing than I have and that makes a difference in staying warm while you work. Proud of you for what you have accomplished.
I think the siding looks wonderful, all around those pipes, great job! The hole in the house will be fixed and everything will look great. Love that the deck hardly has any snow on it, isn't that wonderful? Have a great week. Stay warm by that fired. (from Sandi)
Random question: Are you guys planning on putting in a cement walkway in from the desk to addition stairs? If so you could try and make it covered so you don't need to snowblow so close to the house.
Stuff happens, as long you are healthy. But I would recommend you lean a large plywood in front of the sliding doors because you run the risk of either snow build-up or ice sliding off the roof and kicking back and breaking the sliding door glass.
A tip to clean the glass on your fire. Get a damp cloth or piece of kitchen roll (sorry don't know what they call it in the US) dip in the ashes and clean the glass it works brilliantly.
In Alabama where I live, we got about 2 inches of snow last week. The roads were closed and a lot of people lost electricity. In spite of the inconvenience, everyone was deliriously happy to play in the snow (and take LOTS of pictures).
when I worked outside my employer had a giant box of hothands toe warmers.. it was the best for my toes ! warm all day, I always use them when skiing. you all are wonderful to watch. thank you for creating such gentle wholesome fun relaxing real content.
No biggie. You can repair the siding. Just move on and don't focus on the little mistake. You have made such great progress. We love you both and be safe.
We live in Canada and my 67 year old snowboarding husband luckily has friends living in Revelstoke and gets to go snowboarding there every year. Next week he is going snowboarding in Colorado for a week. Have fun in Canada.
Just wondering... with that difficult piece on the side of the house with all the protrusions, could you house it all into a box with vents? That way your cuts would be easier and everything would be covered and masked. Just a thought! 😉
I just ground and brewed my fist cup of your Mountain Grind Coffee. Nice! the flavors really popped. I like my coffee black and bold without the bitter burnt taste often found in dark roast. I think you'll hit a good balance. Thank you so much for sharing what you like. Please stay warn and safe up on the mountain this winter. The work will be done when it gets done... Noone does better work by worry or fret. If what you share is what really is going on... then I think you'll work well with what you have been given. Keep your focus on what you have been given, stay true to what you find. Thank you for putting all out there. My wife and I really enjoy your show... Something we do together... we often laugh that y'all are learning in the same way we have. Will watch this show in a few hours.
Note for next winter.... Place Deep Snow warning markers BESIDE the house as well.....>GRIN< At least it was a small error and not something like hitting the gasline or powerline....
Not a big deal, Trent. You all work so hard and accomplish so much! Your videos and projects are entertainment and education for so many on what a person CAN do. Love to you all. Happy new year! 🎉
My daddy always said to put a sign that says "What are you looking here for". Put a sign and a plant in front of the booboo and the bondo will work LOL. I love watching Leo and Billy growing up. It's happening so fast! ❤. And Lika and Frank are still so sweet with the kids.
While people often put up stakes along their driveway for snowplowing you also can put one on each side of the snow blower. You also can get a blade instead that will cut the snow above the auger. I was curious about how well the new roof over the front deck would be with the snow. I bet you're happy with the results so far. Good luck with the winter ahead.
Sorry about what happened outside but I am sure that it is fixable. Allie, the thing I notice every episode is that is the little guy gets cuter every day!!
It's hard to imagine that much snow at one time. We've had some really light snow years here in central Michigan. More power to you all. I enjoy watching your progress.
Trent, I'd suggest using a large Crescent wrench, to finish bending the auger. It will allow you to have the handle sticking straight out from where you want to bend it, and not limit the bend by hitting the auger. Worth a shot.
Oh gosh Trent that siding is really looking so beautiful and all of you have been doing some great work getting your walls all covered and hopefully before you get more crazy snow. Thanks again for another fun video to watch, I think Billy is so adorable and he seems so happy and smiles and laughs alot. Allie you have such adorable children. I am wishing your sweet family lots of blessings and love, bye! 😂🥰🥰😘🤗🙏🙏🙏🙌👏💕💜💜💜💜
Seeing the caption, im like. " What now? What the heck did Trent do this time?😂😂😂 Kudus to the one doing those fine cuts on the siding and the crew installing them..great work guys
I always enjoy your adventures, you are all amazing people.🤗 I love Revelstoke! I live three hours southwest of there, and it's one of my favorite day trips...in the Summertime. The high mountain roads are really tricky to drive during the Winter months, but the Selkirk mountain range is stunning...don't forget to take pictures Trent. Cheers for now! 🙂
when was the last time the woodburner chimney was cleaned? Insurance company wants that done AT LEAST annually. If you cover A/C, run the risk of getting critters in the equipment.
Here I was complaining about the little 2 in of snow that we got the other day and you guys got over 4 ft of snow I guess I really didn't have a complaint Glad you fixed the snow blower You're going to need it be blessed
Glad to see the snow is somewhere in Utah! Love that it is in the mountains and hopefully it will replenish our reservoirs enough. We live up near Brigham city and have not got more than a dusting. Seems strange to not be shoveling. 🤪
Truck brand might matter in some comparisons; but I believe 95% is the driver and the choices they make at any given moment when driving… in any condition, but especially in snow and or ice. Trent rocks!
I'm so happy you guys decided to get a Ford truck. I loved my F150. Wouldn't trade it for anything? Hope You enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. I don't know how you deal with so much snow, but God bless you guys.
I am still in awe about the measuring. Even if it took you 3 times. WOW, I would never be able to do that. It's my favorite part. The house booboo. You got this, Trent. Hey, that's why pencils have erasers. Have a super day. Stay warm. ❤
You guys turned me onto the little stove fans that spread the heat from the fire, and now you're using the bellows idea...full circle moment! Love you all♥
Trent please stop dogging yourself. We all learn from our mistakes. You were amazing. Jumped right on it, fixed your snow blower. See the glass as full brotheyour fruits of labor show it. Be safe stay warm. Looking forward to your next episode♥️
Just FYI... "Bellows" is a noun that refers to a device used to blow air into a fire to make it burn more vigorously. "Bellow" is a verb that means to shout in a loud, deep voice or to make a loud, deep noise like a bull or elephant. The word "bellows" is always used in the plural form. It comes from the Old English word blǽstbęl(i)g, which means "blast-bag" or "blowing-bag".
Even the snow blower auger is a hair out of square now, at least Trent is consistent! 😂🤣
Couldn’t have said it better😊😊😊
My Pupa use to say “ As long as no one gets hurt-Things can be replaced and fixed”❤️
Seeing Likka watching Trent start the fire reminds me of when my dog watched me and my mom said, “He’s studying for when he’s a human in his next life.” ❤
Allie has such a good attitude with setbacks and slowdowns. And Trent is amazing, willing to expose his errors to all. Well done, both of you!
Yea at least one oops every episode.
@@unclewilbur8976Good heavens, man, you picked her! Maybe work at getting past it/her rather than publicly bad mouthing her!
Trent is also willing to expose the insulation with the snowblower. I guess his hammer just wasn't the right tool for this job?
For all of us who’ve lost their Mom, let’s carry on their Family Traditions. Memories are forever 💜
How precious to see Leo concerned about Lika near the fire! 💙 Very, very cute.
Yes, Leo "bellowed" at him.
So adorable 🥰
❤❤❤❤❤
"The Billy and Leo Show"...featuring Trent and Allie...also starring Frank & Leka, Brandon, Grayson and Jennifer :)
That's ok Allie, us Ford drivers are laughing at the Rivian sitting IN the garage 😊 Luv ya anyways ❤
I love it when Allie makes an observation that comes out comical and Grayson has a big, fat grin on his face. The humor is what gets you through the tough, little moments.
Build a little closet/shed over your utilities wall with a door.
Yes- and the sooner, the better 😊
🇨🇦 Trent, if u take a wet paper towel and dip it in the ash you can scrub the inside of the woodstove glass and it cleans it up spotless in seconds. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Wood ash is the best cleaner.
That's a neat trick. Not one I was aware of so I learnt something new today. Thank you!
Newspaper is even better
Newspaper 📰 makes the best window / glass cleaner I've ever used, it's something to do with the ink on the paper or consistency of the newspaper 🗞️ material, Idk?
But I'll have to give your wet paper towel dipped in Wood Ash a try sometime and give it a go. 👍🏼
Hey, another Canadian! ☕️🇨🇦

But that wouldn't be nearly as much fun...
But then we’d lose head scratching hill Billy entertainment.
I know how siding pros deal with the problem. They put the siding on FIRST!

I love Monday and Friday with Trent and Allie and the whole gang. There is always something to smile about.
Allie has a great disposition! Jennifer is a gem! The men are hard working and talented!!! The boys are delightful!!
Trent, i’ve been watching your channel for a while now and I’m still totally impressed with your skills. I haven’t seen anything that you can’t do once you set your mind to it. Beautiful compliment 😍
What do we have here!!!
Trent, the singer dancer
Brandon, pencil man
Grayson, smiley smiley.
That's who we have!!!
These 3 AMIGOS CAN FIX ANYTHING!!!!
Snow blower/ plow hack for gravel driveways. Take a 3" piece of PVC the length of your blade and cut a slit in the PVC, slide it on the bottom of the blade or blower box, fab some mounting brackets to attach it. The PVC will keep you from digging into the gravel. It works really well!😊
Riley with Ambition Strikes did it with a steel pipe. It works really well.
Always a learning experience when watching Trent and Allie
The best thing about building something yourself, is that you know how to fix it. 👍
🤣😅😂🤣😂🤣 Way to go Trent. Your wife will NEVER let you forget with her constant admonitions. 👍
Trent reminds me so much of my son. Hardest working man I know, but if it can happen to him, it will happen. Nothing is ever easy! Chin up Trent. It’ll all work out in the end.
You did a fabulous job fitting the siding around the pipes and electric box. Wow!
The house damage is only temporary. We all learn from mistakes. You all did a great job putting the siding up around all the protrusions.
Trent doesnt learn from mistakes lol
Yes, you did do a great job, everything is fixable.😮😮
Stuff happens. It could be so much worse. Trent's a good builder and fixer, so, he will have it fixed soon. You are blessed!
Just as that very tricky last piece dropped into place the word legend was heard from the song playing! So perfect. Brandon’s cutting and Everyone measuring perfectly makes you all legends in my eyes.
Allie…the drone shots are fabulous and the music you choose is always perfect! ❤
LIKA---!!!🎉❤🎉
...she really was having a moment
Adorable, springing through the snow like Tigger in Winni-the-Pooh!! So Precious ❤❤
There are little usb charged hand warmers you can keep in your pocket. Might help on those days when you can’t wear gloves.
Trent and Allie are blessed to have such good family and friends that are there to help. The siding is nothing to what it could of been and gotta love this deep snow. That little man is what is amazing to me of how intelligent that he is able to communicate at such an early age. He is definitely another Trent in the making. God Bless.
What happened to the snowblower that was used on the deck that could have been used close to the buildings?
Exactly!
Think they may have given it to Brandon..

I so agree with this.I grew up during the time of out houses and coal or wood stoves..proverb ; cover and protect your as-sets always first #1 prio.
Billy is such a good baby. He is always so happy.
Phones work just fine in Canada with any of the major carriers and most plans include voice, text and data
Once Trump has invaded Canada it won't be a problem anymore.
Ford is Canadian made!! Darn Skippy it's good in the snow!!!!❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️
I was freaking out because I didn't see Frank anywhere! Lika was out playing then inside but didn't see Frank ! Was so relieved when I finally got a glimpse of him.
Yay, we got to see the bellows in action.
faux brick siding would look good around the bottom to cover the hole, and would be a great and easy to go around your outside utilities. Love your channel.
It's not THAT bad, I thought it was going to be a window which would have been far far worse. I am a Chevy fan but I would choose a Ford over a Dodge any day of the week. JS Ya'll did a great job with that puzzle siding. Amazing guys!!!!
Perhaps use the portable snow blower close to house and then big machine not have to go in so close. :)
Every corner of your house will have a story ☺️ I love it! Nothing is perfect in life that's what makes it beautiful 👨👩👦👦
When times get hard remember one thing,,, 'You make us smile', problems are your gain xxx

You built a big grand entrance for all your little mountain critters. It needs a WELCOME! sign.
😂
A tip to clean the glass on your fire. Get a damp cloth or piece of kitchen roll (sorry don't know what they call it in the US) dip in the ashes and clean the glass it works brilliantly.
You must have a 1x1 1/2 piece of the Hardi hanging around. Patch it until spring with that.
In Alabama where I live, we got about 2 inches of snow last week. The roads were closed and a lot of people lost electricity. In spite of the inconvenience, everyone was deliriously happy to play in the snow (and take LOTS of pictures).
My daughter lives in Chelsea, Al. and sent me a video of her dogs flocking in the snow!
when I worked outside my employer had a giant box of hothands toe warmers.. it was the best for my toes ! warm all day, I always use them when skiing. you all are wonderful to watch. thank you for creating such gentle wholesome fun relaxing real content.
Poor Trent he tried to remove the snow .Accidents happens so don't be so hard on yourself ok. Love your content and videos. ❤
Use a crescent wrench with a pipe to bend the flighting on the blower. A pipe wrench is the wrong angle but you can get in there with a cresent
Why not use the snow blower you have on deck any thing 1- 2 feet away from house use that to clear the snow also around the garage.
"If you never break anything, you're not doing anything!" A quote by me during my working years!
This is what my husband says. It is true though. You never achieve anything, if you never try to do it.

Truck brand might matter in some comparisons; but I believe 95% is the driver and the choices they make at any given moment when driving… in any condition, but especially in snow and or ice. Trent rocks!
When I look at Billy, I see that he has Allie's eyes and facial looks. He is growing up so quickly. Looking good, cold weather or not work must go on.
This will be yet another GREAT Story to tell the Boys as they grow up in the house that you all have built.
Every day there is a Trent & Allie episode is a good day!
I'm so happy you guys decided to get a Ford truck. I loved my F150. Wouldn't trade it for anything? Hope
You enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
Stay warm. ❤
Glad you got the snow blower working, but I'm so sorry about the house!!!😊🎉❤
You guys turned me onto the little stove fans that spread the heat from the fire, and now you're using the bellows idea...full circle moment! Love you all♥
You and your friends have made great progress. Don't sweat the small stuff.
You could build a porch with a roof around the side where the door and windows are at! Later on, when you can before next season
Isn't google great when paired with the 4 inch pad of knowledge.
