Mary Skelter Finale Review - Dungeon Crawler JRPG Extraordinaire? (SWITCH PS4 PS5)

In this video review I look at Mary Skelter Finale, the newest Dungeon Crawler JRPG from Compile Heart and the final chapter in the critically-acclaimed Mary Skelter series. Mary Skelter Finale is marketed in a way that new players can start here because the stories of Mary Skelter 1 and Mary Skelter 2 are included as free extra content, but I disagree with this sentiment.
In this review I give you a quick rundown of the story, go over the gameplay, combat and all the nifty Dungeon Crawler JRPG systems they've added.
The gameplay shown was recoded on a Nintendo Switch (dock mdoe) 24 hours before writing this review.

But outside were thousands of corpses soaking in a sea of blood. There stood beings known as Massacre Pink, smiling. In that moment, hope was destroyed. The group was torn asunder, with Jack and the Blood Maidens scattered to their own paths.
Separated, they are each drawn to the devouring Jail that floats in the sky...

Oh shit I was looking for a review of this game and I just happened to click on one you posted just now! This definitely seems like an etrian odyssey type game. So if anyone (like me) has played those types of games I think they’ll feel right at home.

Haha, perfect timing! And yeah in terms of gameplay it looks pretty similar, despite the map being filled automatically as you walk through the dungeon. Just keep the bit about the story of 1 & 2 in mind :)

Hi! I'm here because of Ircha Gaming. Great review, I've played the previous Mary Skelter games from beginning to end, they are better than other turn-based games in my opinion, but that said, I still haven't played Mary Skelter Finale, partially because of the (mild) censorship of the game and partially because SungWon Cho/ProZD voices one of the characters, which is something I don't like, he can act, but...he is KickVic and went against Joaquin Phoenix, so, I still haven't bought the game and I don't know if I'll get it. In any case, this is a great review.

Heard about MS around same time it got announced that it was going to release on PS4. I began looking forward to playing it, but sadly that day never came.
Now though, Finale released on Sony, maybe that day's going to happen after all.
I can see the trilogy coming down the pipe...eventually.
(Just need to state I understand I could have bought it on Steam. Unfortunately for me though, I have a outdated laptop that can't meet the minimum specs. Can't do much to it give it more performance because it's a HP....damn it's really annoying. Why don't I just buy a better pc??)
