This was an absolutely incredible video JJ, one that I’ve been waiting for for a very long time. The writing and progression of information were so thoughtful and thorough, this has to be one of the best constructed science deep dives I’ve watched in a while. Borneo is such a legendary place, and I really hope that I get to explore it before it is so fundamentally changed by the capital move - when is that going to happen? You filmed so many amazing species, great primate and bird diversity and I’m sure the biodiversity in general was overwhelming. And just getting footage of wild orangutans is really special, any encounter with wild great apes has to be unforgettable. Amazing work JJ!

Hi, friend. Really sad what happens with orangutans, as with other species, and especially with nature in general. Great video. Greetings

the new planet earth actually does have a whole episode dedicated to wild life in modern world, it's surprising the "rain forest" is just a patch of trees inside a big farm

Im Argentine, our country is basically the biggest field of grass in the world Can't we make some reservations for Orangtunas and breed some here?
Brazil would be a perfect environment for them, but they would be invasive. Here in Argentina we dont have any native species of Primate (except in Misiones province which is right next to Brazil)

introduced yes, invasive that would be unlikely but need to be determined (it is complicated)

@@Ecotasia I mean it IS invasive by definition, but Orangutans are chill, they might not even interfere with the native trophic chain
