An Aussie here watching from Sydney. I remember watching Os and how much respect I had for the beast of a man. Great podcast with Jean and Schalk anchoring the talk!
I remember back in '04 Boks Vs Wallabies played in Perth, Os dropped a pass and the Aussie commentator (Greg Clarke I think) exclaimed, "Aww mate, if it was a burger he wouldn't have dropped it!"
I lived 100m from Waratah Stadium & the Springboks played there once. My dad was a priest with ties & the team had a BBQ at our church house. I remember Jani De Beer giving me kicking tips in the church field. It was surreal.
I'm a Kiwi so I grew up respecting these guys but always wanting them to lose. I can now say hand on heart that I only want them to now win at everything. Such wonderful men
I used to bartend at a popular club in Cape Town and Os came one night with the Cheetahs. Was an absolute gentleman and I even tried to arm wrestle him (as a joke obv). Such a legend!
I recently discovered this channel as the Jaque Fourie interview was my first time watching. I've binged all the other interviews as I just can't get enough. This is easily my favourite RUclips channel. Great content as always.
Fair play to Scott Gibbs in '97.Only a very brave, very 'direct' back-line player would hurl himself into a rampaging Os. A moment of un-flinching, eye-balls out bravery from the Great Welsh and British & Irish Lions centre. What a collision! Boom!!! Lions went on to win the series. Great days, great men, great rugby.
What I appreciate about a show like use ot or lose it is the insight we are given into the struggles and joys and defining moments that each of these great bok players had to go through to reach thzir best. I see the massive role leaders like Jake White played and the influence his guidance had in bringing the best out players like Os. South African history, in all areas, is amazing.
Os is such a legend. Wonderful to hear some of the stories and see the comradery between them all. Love how Os was so competitive for the bad jokes section.
Hi Guys...Thank you for an awesome show.So cool for us Bok fans to get to hear about all the behind the scenes things that happen. Os du Randt a true giant of the game. Please try to get Bakkies and Victor together..The combo reunited. ..Go Bokke
I have supported the All Black since 82, see Olo Brown, Graig Dowd who are the measure of props. But Os for the best that will ever be. Never seen a prop with so much heart.
This is a great show. Need to spread the word to the wider rugby community.

Lekker show boytjies! I like the stories behind the rugby and the stuff you okes get up to on tour. I think the stories around a campfire would entertain for days! Great to see the LEGEND (Oom) Os again!
My husband somehow got hold of one of Os's white shorts that he played in for South Africa lol. Now I'm an average sized woman and I fit into one leg of that shorts 🤣🤣🤣
Hey! Just found this show and I’m loving it. Os is a hero of mine since long. I’d love an episode with Johan Ackermann. A great player, and the stuff he did for the Lions just seem fantastic from an outside view. Are you guys up for it?
Awesome 👏 show JdV and SB, Os is legend, cannot remember the year but the Cheetahs played Lions, Os took a gap and scored. Burger Geldenhuys was commentator and said "Os is een van daai ouens, hy is bedrieglik stadig" good memories from Os!!
@Use It or Lose It Show congrats on another great show gents. Os remains such an inspiration! Jean I realise that in this age of social media, my suggestion won't be popular but I'll try anyways. I'm not a fan of the tablet (formerly mobile phone) on the table and constantly being used in between and during conversation. It's a bit distracting and you guys are not millennials☺ I also thought the first 2-3 fan videos questions were repetitive. Thanks for the content gents it's brilliant
Jake gave him unconditional support and in return Os rose to the occasion. Well done Jake !!
As a NZer, Os Du Randt is one of my favourite ever Springboks. This is the first time I've ever heard him in an interview!
I didn't know Os was so eloquent in English. The man's talents know no bounds. What a legend in the game and a top man!
You can tell Os just has a big heart and a kind soul. God bless him.

Thanks Robin, appreciate it!

Always good to hear from ex South Africans

Even today ... OS could probably handle an opposition scrum down by himself. A TRUE LEGEND of the game!
A true legend of the game, not just for the Boks. Still looks like he could scrum a truck tho!
Ja, you wouldn't catch us challenging him to a scrum, haha!
A wonderful Human Being, and Magnificent Springbok. Os is literally a true giant of Rugby Union, and forever will be I believe.
Someone asked Phil Kearns what makes Os better than everyone else and Kearns said one world: 'Strength.'
@@UseItorLoseItShow that
Os du Randt is one of the Springboks who give me gooseflesh. So much respect for this man
Real legend of the game. SA really produce some big Lads. As Tongan. I love to watch NZ and Island teams take on the might of SA.
Watching from UK, love getting the in depth stories from South Africa legends. Springboks definitely held on a pedestal for English rugby fans!
Really??? Great players and good men, but no pedestal. If there is, then Kiwi’s, Aussies, Welsh, French and English also need to be in there
A true legend and servant of the game , much respect and didn't know about his emotional side , a true gentle giant 👏🙌
What an absolute legend
I think from opinion only. He has to be one of the most likeable rugby players ever.
I was 12 during the 95 RWC and I can still name the starting 15. Os and the rest will always be legends in my mind.
Brilliant. And such a gentleman still. Defies the perception of a big prop bully, and you can see he is a deep oke. Wel gedaan ou grote.
Ou Pappa Os.
Absolute Bok Legend.. he still gets in to most people's all time 15! 👌👏💪🇿🇦
Easily
Very true, hes in mine and Im a kiwi
I used to bartend at a popular club in Cape Town and Os came one night with the Cheetahs. Was an absolute gentleman and I even tried to arm wrestle him (as a joke obv). Such a legend!

The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Unless it's Os, then you fall, haha!
A magnanimous South African ???? Surely not…..you must be British 🤔
Gentlemen what a show. Can't wait for more content. Watching from the USA.
Absolute legend, never forget him and Joost tackling big Jona. Awesome show, look forward to the episodes

47:08 after the joke when he says"you guys are forwards I need to explain" that got me 😂
Os is such a legend. Wonderful to hear some of the stories and see the comradery between them all. Love how Os was so competitive for the bad jokes section.
To say that I love this show is an understatement!!

There will never ever be another legend like "OS" Durant.
Os was the scrum?😁
Never say never Pierre, we have alot of talent in our country. Maar Os is 'n legende virseker!!!
Until he got pushed by
Carl Hayman Kees Meeuws and Julian White lol
@@guitarrocker9848 He was probably in his older years then. Compare apples to apples you tootsie fruit xD
Lekker! Even as far away as here in India your show is helping massively to get through the lockdowns. Baie Dankie.
Os du Randt, one of the greatest South Africans to have ever lived.

3 legends.... Schalk has a special place in our house... My German Shepard is Schalk and my chocolate Labrador is Burger. (with respect)
Just make sure he doesn't try to scratch your eyes.
Never heard Os interviewed. Fun show this week and great to listen to Os and you guys share some stories. Thx
Thank you, Dan!
One of my all time best lose head prop is Big Os and Beast💪🏾
Heartfelt sympathy to all the poor souls who had to tackle him and scrum against him...
Os is an absolute legend!
Love this show. Very good insights into management and the reasons why some teams didn't achieve as much as they should have. Os ... you are a legend
Ossss the legend... ❤ from France and Romania (yes from both coutries - don't ask me how is possible... The ultimate predator!... !
Listen if we ever cant wear a Springbok on the jersey, I will happily have a picture of Os there instead.
Hi JDV and Scalla you guys must try and get Joe Van Niekerk on the set.🇿🇦💪🏽
I believe he lives in the jungles of Costa Rica now. May not have the best internet connection.
@@tonyclifton1278 I believe so mate. 👍

I'd love to hear from Andre Pretorius.

A true SA legend & great show gents!
Legend!!! True Hero.
Red bulls on top of the table, beers underneath it... 😂
Best prop in the world ever. Showed two times age is just a number if you are good enough you are old enough. What a rugby legend.
Great episode guys! Thank you for bringing Os on the Show. What a legend he is!

Another Epic show gents! Thanks so much for this initiative. Absolutely awesome to have such incredible insights into SA Rugby & the Springboks!!
Just found your channel, great content guys and Os is a legend
I always scrummed well against Richard Bands...no one in the world except Os could say that.
Os is cut from a different cloth!
In just to mention Richard Bands was a colossal when it came to Rugby just ask Richie Mcaw lol...
