I met Freddie did some work at his house in burbank ca. told me about flying a helicopter into the la coleseium with 70,000 fans waiting for him. and about him meeting elvis and what a kind man elvis was. i remember a quote he shared with me that "money is only as good as what you spend it on". what a man of great character grace kindness.
He wrote it, saying that's what he figured guys wld feel about their women. I bought it as soon as i first heard it, and still have it and the old record player from --yeah, my dad's from 1952.
In 1971, I was a younger teenager, and a big country fan. I loved this song. An older friend of mine asked me to play bass with a band he was with at a country dance hall. I quickly agreed, and had a ball at this rough, tumble, out in the country, dance hall. The number one song we were requested to play was Easy Lovin'. The crowd loved it. We had to play it three or four times a night. The lead singer could hit the high notes just like Freddie. Oh for the good ole' days.
I loved Freddy Hart .. he was the first country singer I seen in person, I was about 5 .. he picked me up and kissed my cheek, he autographed my photo 😁
The song that saved Freddie Harts career. Recorded for 20 years without major success. Wrote this and recorded it for Capital. They canned him just before its release. Soon Easy Loving became a hit, and they re-signed him. Won him numerous awards as well
Not sure how old you are maybe born 1988 by you screen name but easy loving was a MONSTER,You couldn't go anyplace without hearing it!. And I mean no place!.
Simply magical, I 1st heard heard Freddy singing Easy Loving in 1972 while driving through Holland, I then went out to a local Record-Shop and found his LP and played often over the years to this days, RIP Freddy
Freddy was born in 1926 that makes him 85 yrs old here...passed in 2018 at 91yrs old ..was that Dawn sears singing with Freddy....she passed in 2014. she was only 53 yrs old...2 great singers and people ...
It sure is, Dawn Sears had a great voice, but she was always told to stay at least two feat from the mic as seen in this video. Man she had a voice, it was a pleasure to listen to her sing with Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers (her husband is lead violinist/vocals with TJ). If you enjoyed this song, you'll love "Raining In My Heart" sung by Jo-El Sonnier too! RIP Freddie & Dawn!
HI my name is Fred and my dad used to sing that song to me when I was just a little boy and I'm 58 years young now and it's still my favorite song of all time
You must have had a very sweet father. I was fortunate as a child to be around Freddie Hart as he and my grandmother were very close friends and he was the godfather to my little sister, he truly was one of the most mannerful, respected and loved people by everyone, and was funny too, our family was and still is a bunch of jokesters and he fit right in. We have many casual family photos with him, he used to sit in our living room and sing this to all of us, he was such a part of our family, he's in many of our conversations and hearts and miss him dearly.
Thanks so much for posting this! It's one of the only Marty Stuarts shows not available to watch online. Freddie is spectacular! For history buffs, that's Charlie McCoy on the organ. Charlie played on the original record of "Easy Loving"
All they would have needed would be to have Lloyd Green doing his famous steel licks on this tune, even tho Marty's steel player did a mighty fine job in his own right. And Bob Moore on the bass and Buddy Harman on the drums and Pig tickling the ivories.
Freddie would have been 85 or 86 at the time and looks amazing. Doesn't look much different than when the song came out in 1971 and he performed it. This song crossed over to the pop hot 100 and was also a big hit there, too.
Real country. God know I miss it so bad and I miss the USA and the great times we had in the 70’s today’s so called country and the USA both have gone to sh-t.

The nicest man you'd ever want to meet. Genuine. This was one huge country hit.

The greatest song in the history human civilization. And Freddie Hart was a fascinating man.

He never missed a beat even as he aged, sounds just as good as when he first released it..RIP Freddy and Dawn
Still sounding great. These so called country singers nowadays needs to take notes. No rap or autotune here.
What a groovy guitar part for the electric cowboy in glasses!
Absolutely love his voice and the organ combination!
Loved seeing this show when it aired! Legends all around! We will never see this again in country.
I like listening to all these country music

Love this song & Freddie Hart! 🎶♥️🎶 Thanks so much for sharing 😊
Marty's band nails it. Kudos.
My Mama loved him. Especially this song. We lived in Zion, Illinois. I was about 4 or 5 .
What a stupendous song.
Absolutely one of my favorite songs along with Country Bumpkin, Blanket On The Ground!!!
Much love from Mobile Alabama
Hargus "Pig" Robbins on piano too. He also played on the original record.

Just love this song! 2022
Great Country Golden
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wish Kenny had spent more time listening to the Capitol original, which features one of the greatest rhythm guitar parts in country music history.
This was my uncles favorite song
Wow just wow
And the late Dawn Sears singing harmony.
Dude I love ur channel
Freddy fender would be proud

💗
Marty Stuart on camera should be a clue, but what show is this?
Such a great song, but Dawn's mic was too high. Harmony shouldn't overpower the main act. Still an awesome presentation.
Maybe so, but it still sounded damn good
Terrible song. Have no idea how Freddy Hart was considered a major talent.
Even at 85, sick, and recovering from a stroke he still managed to pull off this performance. Sorry you obviously have such a little weiner.
Doesn't seem like you have any idea about anything with that comment
Get a life
