A brilliant rendition of a true country classic. I’ve been listening many different versions here and this is the best, even better than Freddie’s earlier recordings.

Freddie was the first to record this classic Harlan Howard tune circa 1960. On the original session were Darrell McCall singing tenor harmony, Jimmy Day on steel, and Tommy Jackson on fiddle.

Kind of an unassuming man. But instructed police officers in self defense. He could sing a great song. And kick your rearend too.
