    I would recommend picking the strings; if you don’t, you won’t know if you are placing your finger properly and applying just enough pressure to create a good, clear tone. Good exercise James!

    I’ve been doing a chromatic scale and blues scale for about 2 weeks. This is also very helpful

    In the environment where I play guitar, I have to stand. I can see though that sitting, would make it easier to play. Do you have tips for better control over the guitar for players who stand? Thank you.

      Use a guitar strap. I use one even when I am sitting. Helps a lot with control over the guitar.
