It’s insane we live in a time where we have videos showing people how to live in their cars and not be harassed by cops.
Damn useful skill to have. Near church parking lots are usually pretty good, as long as it isn't in the "nice" part of town.
It is crazy.
Welcome to the second high tech great depression.
Nowadays even with a 9-5 you might be homeless
44 percent of the homeless population works. Also homelessness rose 18 percent last year in the US.
My local airport workers are living out of their cars. They went on strike this past Christmas.
If your working a 9-5 and still homeless. You can be homeless with out doing all that work too. Just saying that all that energy and work mite be better placed looking from something that will put a roof over your head. I been homeless too. The people I mostly see stay homeless are the ones that keep working the jobs that lead them to homelessness to start with. The cause of your problem normally never works as it's solution.
@RipMinner at least as far as the homeless that live in their cars, they unfortunately have to keep working at least part-time enough to put gas in the car, especially if they rely on the heat in the cold weather, but other than that yeah you're right
@@RipMinner Some keep working cause it helps them "save" money. But other just work seasonal jobs and then chill for the rest of the year.
I temporarily lived in my car for 4 to 8 months making around 20$ a hour, eating out every meal.
I kid you not, I had more money in my bank account than several people making 6 figures.
being in bigger debt, and renting a tomb doesn't make you rich, it just means you're comfortable being dead.
I rather be uncomfortable and alive with my agency intact.
They fear people like me.
I do the same. I eat out like a king because 70% of my income isn't going to a roach infested studio apartment 😂
@@DenariusjayI’ll join you.
Hey since you're homeless but make more money than an average housed person here in America. Save up to get out. But in countries where it's easy to find a job. If you're skilled worker, there are countries activeley searching for skilled migrants. Also certain countries like Japan where it's very easy to become an english teacher.
America is so down low that even though i live with my parents with rent under 500, avoided college, i can still go bankrupt from 1 medical emergency. Cant wait to leave for Japan. America is still a good country but im not cocnfident about it's future.
@mq-r3apz291 I've lived overseas for 10 years. Pandemic screwed that up for me. I prefer Asia 100%
Rent is my biggest expense BY FAR,It eats up like 70% of my take home.
There is ZERO reason that rent for a studio should be more than $200/$300 (TOPS). Studios were meant to be cheap for young people and the financially disadvantaged - Now,The average person can BARELY afford a studio with a full time job.
Without Rent all my expenses are only $200 and that's even with utilities,It's insane.
Facts
"something something what the market allows something something"
- some landlord
Aren't they like $1200 now in some cities?
@@mikesteelheart Yes and its insanity,We need a major price correction. Real incomes are actually falling for the average worker so sooner or later the scales have to tip.
You can thank restrictive zoning laws that don't allow much housing to be built, and selfish NIMBYs for that.
Remember when Boomers were against Corporate Greed? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Sure, until they became corporate lol... rule for thee but not for me... 😅
They also printed money to bail themselves out of financial trouble at the detriment to their grandchildren
Hippies in the 60's, CEO's shipping jobs to China in the 80's...
That was before even I was born since I was born in the early eighties, and it was the sixties and seventies when boomers used to be against corporate greed. But by the eighties, boomers became yuppies.
Ah crep, this is just like that time Family Guy told jokes with a jumpcut. 😅
I remember my late father telling me when i was young how he never forgave his mother for kicking him out at 18 and throwing out all his sentimental belongings when he was in the service....only for him to kick me out at 18 right after my mother passed, throw out all my stuff, and sell my childhood home I thought was gonna be passed down to me one day. 😑 The disconnect with that generation is real.
Boomers don't pass down. They sell to enrich themselves.
It's an ego thing. They didn't get it so they won't give it.
theyre so deep into the msn echochamber that they regularly get revved up and told they deserve more, a second life and that the kids that they CHOSE to make are in your way. Just like divorce is worn by boomers like a badge now
@@x7Votorious84xit's a dude thing
That pisses me off that, as a society, allows someone to live outside not by choice but by economy. Pathetic, yall, us not them. Eat the rich.
And that's how you know it's not are society, It's the richest society. We need to figure out how to get away from there society and build are own.
@@RipMinner facts!!!! Its only gonna get worse

Welcome to the capitalism world
I never understood the concept of moving out on your own and paying insane rent. I went to a lodge to inquire the cost of a studio apartment it was 1350. My parent’s mortgage for a 2400 square foot house is 1360. I would be paying just as much for rent as my parents do for a house. It’s the biggest scam ever.
Plus on average you have to work 60 hours a week and give half your income to rent. The whole design is to keep you poor because you can never save money or have time off.
Because not everyone has the option of living with there parents plus its kinda sad to still be living with your parents when your a fully grown adult
You know what’s sad, working your life away to just pay bills and still be broke.
@darriusgivans6570 that's just life welcome to adulthood
What's sad about it? It's perfectly alright to stay with your family until you get kids of your own.
@OndřejRolník not to me it's kinda sad adults should be independent paying there own bills
Is it just me or does society in 2025 feel like almost a loose loose situation? I mean with this corrupt system it’s like you either are unemployed, have too much free time which is bad for mental health, and have little to no money and just living off chill vibes, or your working like a animal 9-5 or more for long hours and less pay only to get most of it spend on rent and bills. This is why we need a revolution. We need a 4 day work week and higher wages and shorter work days to help combat this.
Revolution of what? Socialism isn’t going to help you they’ll toss you aside once they achieve power
I work 4 days a week there’s jobs that work 4 day weeks stop working for corporations who want you to be their serf
@@sevenguardians7517This channel isn't for you.
It's too late for a revolution. the entire world and every kind of land or recourse is owned by a couple of trillionaire families. The only question to ask yourself now is when are the bureaucrat elite going to declare Martial law.
I have a small camper, its super comfy for me and my cat. I'm not paying rent ever again. RENT IS THEFT!!!!!
Rent is worse then gambling
*Laughs in governmental assistance*
@ every food stamp I spend is literally. 1 less dollar sent to Ukraine or Isreal. Laugh at that.
@ Why do you think there working so hard to remove it.
@@dead_inside674no it’s not they just print it from nothing an you foot the bill by paying higher prices
Scientist said over a hundred years ago we'd only need to work 3 Days a week 4 to 6 hours a day due to advancements in technology they failed to take into account the insatiable thirst of simps and the appetite of their love interests, not meaning to say who's perfect but there's definitely an unsustainable imbalance we're working much harder than needed to.
Truth of the reality
I mean, it’s not really a choice for most of Gen Z. 40 hrs at the wage offered doesn’t come close to covering living expense. It’s hard to find 2 or 3 jobs that the schedules will actually coordinate. How long can you work for 80+ hours a week? And is life even worth it at that point?
Possibly considering this lifestyle ❌
Possibly being forced into this lifestyle ✅
I think a lot of people don't realize it's the security part of having a home because if not you can be attacked easily whether it's just to rob you or worse but they're conveniently leaving out that ugly truth
Plenty of the crumby apartments people can barely afford get broken into
My aunt had her apartment broken into.
Depends on your area. In some places houses and apartments get broken into quite regularly. I think you mean to say the security of warmth and shelter from the climate. Plus homes have showers.
Agreed!
I wanted to live off grid when I was a teenager. Really wanted to for the past 7 years.
But all the land is owned and you have less rights without a registered address.
“They” don’t want anyone living off grid. “They” want worker drones
Rights are what you are willing to die for.
Even some of those who work 60+ are facing homelessness now.
This video is soul-healing.
Cops are very aggressive and cruel to homeless people.
Because the public won't stop complaining about seeing them and claiming the cops aren't doing their job.
Cops are the enemy of the people just like government
I've done 2 world tours and it seems to me that most cultures don't make kids move out ever and big families will live together indefinitely
please play pretty and get a job
Even you own a property, you still need to pay taxes. It's a joke, and it's like a never ending cycle. What if anyone run out of money? They can't buy foods, clothes or even their basic needs anymore. What if everybody stop using money, instead do barter and help each other? When you realize that everyone has the same end, Death, then you realize that everyone is a human and deserve a decent and peaceful life.
My gf and I were paying $2,000 a month for a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment in Silicon Valley, CA. We shared the room with our 7 yr old son. We never missed a payment but every time rent was due, I was angry/depressed. So I put a plan into action. Kept saving, saving, spending less, selling stuff on eBay and we eventually bought a house an hour away. We never thought it was possible but we did it! Did we want to leave our hometown? No. But we wanted a home. Now we have 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a garage, etc. it’s nice for now. But if I were to ever sell this house, I’m doing the whole van life thing. Fuck rent 🖕🏼
Life is just a scam nowadays. I left school and went straight into college and University and spent five years of my life getting a degree. After getting in debt massively, nobody would hire me because I didn't have three to five years experience, so I had to work a minimum wage job and stay at home because I couldn't afford to live on my own.
Now I can't even get experience for the job I want to do because I'm too busy working the minimum wage job that I don't want to do. It's just completely ****
No Excuse
Am so happy everyone waking up that RENT IS A SCAM you cant own anything don't rent 😊
That's just absolutely insane to kick you children out at 18.. My parents didn't do that. My dad sat me down and told me, I could either go to college and get a part time job for money in my pocket and continue to live home, and no worry about any bills. Or. If i don't go to college. Get a job and become financially responsible by contributing to the bills. It was pretty simple. Although.. what i don't understand is. Where are these people's families? If i said i'd want to go live in the streets of forest or something. I'd have a whole house full of family, aunts, cousins, etc trying to stop me, and telling me to come by them.
why do they force u to get a job? jobs are for money. work is where the substance is and work doesn't require a job. ur family sounds like every other family for the most part, they'll get rid of u and turn on u completely. my family is similar, gave my life to God and they turned on me even though I'm the most financially responsible who took care of them for 5 years while making minimum wage and they made over 6 figures (yup they're that bad with money just like most people) or they would end up homeless, they failed me. Jesus says you either love God or the material world, but you cant love both. you cant serve both. you'll find out quickly who your real family is when you start loving the truth(God) more than this world.
I thought my family was good. When I got layed off and it looked like I was going to be homeless, they showed their true colors… Appreciate your family. Fewer have that than you think
@@VitalFacets Wow.. sorry that happened.
@@rodneyramsay5561 Well. I believe every man, or person should work. The bible says a man who doesn't work should not eat. However. I have had low points in my life, even financially, and my family did not turn on me. But i do get your point. As we are to put or trust in no man. Only in The Most High. I'm an Israeltie, so i understand these principals.
@EarthAngel504 I believe everyan should work as well. I didn't say don't work. I said who cares about a job. Jobs don't equal work. They are not the same thing. Jesus didn't have a job, he did work. He was homeless most his mission days along with the disciples. They worked (walking, hunting, fishing, setting up camp, etc. Is work.). Jesus never says go get a job, he actually a shockingly scary amount of times tells people to love God more than money...he says to have faith, nothin you do will get you to heaven or save you. It's only faith. Work proves your faith, not a job.

So nobody is talking about monetary debasement here ?
It's not going to get better then.
In all honesty, can you blame them? It also seems like they’d rather be jobless as well since all companies ever do these days is set high expectations for very minimal wage OR they just harvest your information each time you pass your resumé or CV online and never hear from them again. In all honesty, it’s disgusting corporate practice.
Great idea until you need an address for work and you fuck up your back from sleeping on the ground.
it's insane. I was seriously considering living in car instead of living with parents last couple days. And now this video shows up. It's truly insane that we even consider homelessness as serious legit option lol. And off course while we do work......
Unless it is physically dangerous, parents are the better option.
@@LegDayLas but its so annoying if they have different mindset. But car has too little space is illegal so you have to try and hide and shit and other issues.
As someone who pays rent on a slab of concrete to sit my trailer on, I can legit tell you that if I didn't have to pay rent, I would have a much easier life. But slabs of concrete are getting more and more expensive every year for god only knows what reason.
Wow. It's nice for someone to say it back to me. Every point made spot on. Why am I paying 650 a month for my own self made prison cell. You spend most of ur time at work anyway
Here, in Japan, the rent is quite cheap. I live in Osaka, my apartment is relatively new(2018 build) and small(35 m2), with a good location(10 min to Namba station which is basically "downtown" by metro or roughly around 15-20 by bike(it's 4.5 km)), 5 min walk to near metro statio, 10-15 min walk to near railway on which i can get to Kobe or Kyoto relatively quickly. I pay 65000 yen in rent, which is roughly around 400 USD, all of my bills(electricity, water, natural gas) fit into 100 usd, and i have free 1 gb/s fiber internet that i pay 0 yen for. Generally, if you go for bit older building(90s or 80s built) you can go for bigger space(50-70 m2) for same money. Tokyo or Yokohama of course would be much more expensive, like 2x times more expensive(unless you live in boonies like Chiba or Saitama), Fukuoka/Nagoya/Sendai/Hiroshima/Sapporo/Shizuoka would be prob roughly same price(but i just prefer Kansai people and lifestyle), but more "second class" poorer cities like Kyoto, Nara, Okayama, Tottori and so on would be even cheaper
As a non-american, all I want to tell you my fellow americans is:
*Stay strong brothers.*
I have been sleeping in a tent for 7 years now. Working 6 day weeks for most of that time, with only the lockdowns costing me 6 months. I invest my money, and I am doing well, while everyone else I know is broke.
In the UK, the boomer generation bought up most of the housing so they could rent it out. Add to that an influx of migrants and the prices have gone insane. I am not looking back now. I dont want a house unless it's cheap. I won't rent for most of my monthly income to go on rent and bills, plus we pay council tax on top in the UK.
Let it all collapse, I don't care. It won't affect me.
Me neither. Rent…mortgage…it’s all the same ball and chain.
The only reason I live at home is because I know I'm NEEDED where I am. If not for that I sure as shit wouldn't waste my time trying to own a house or rent an apartment. Unless I was fortunate enough to afford one guaranteed rest of my life I'm not taking this gynocentric world seriously. Because everything is inflated which is an insult to honest efforts if the goal post is always going to be moved with a suck it up attitude
You could be working 40+ hours a week and still only afford to sleep in the car or tent. Homelessness is an issue the 1% choose to ignore by deflecting the issue with a myriad of lies, copes, and gaslighting. No one chooses to be homeless you nepos choose to ignore the issue and keep paying nothing while hiring family and friends for the adult wages and jobs.
I don't blame anyone for hating that all rent options and mortgage options use up 75% of your after-tax income. Just look up the median income, and consider the median drive time to work. Most people couldn't afford their own house in the current market, well aren't they lucky.
That's why I miss my high school years.😢
Rent is a scam you can have an rv for $200 a month
The thing is, we lose everything in the End. With infaltion we will lose it before the end.
I’ve done that to save money. Rented a storage locker to hold the bulk of my stuff, a commercial locked mailbox for a mailing address, and a gym membership to shower off and sometimes sleep on the mats stacked in the back. Yes, I was still paying rent, but at least it didn’t go to some apartment slumlords.
And oddly enough it was far cheaper (even for “climate controlled storage”).
There were times when I would secretly squat in abandoned buildings, stores, and even a store in a failing mall (security was very poor, management borderline absentee). But squatting can be dangerous, not just because of the police.
I do own my own house and land now, but those past years weren’t easy.
I prefer this voice, i think it's YOUR real voice.
6:00 In California cities such as San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Greety landlords charge you $3000.00 a month for a one bedroom apartment that you will never see again.
Our ancestors were all nomadic. Now, living in a van or a car, or an RV, still leaves you under the control of fuel, fuel prices, dangers of the road, borders, etc. a boat is a better option, sailboat best..
even the college degree is a joke
I have a 3 bedroom for 1200 a month. Not awful.
A STUDIO in the same complex is 750 a month... 1/3rd the space for over half the price.
Our ancestors lived a nomadic lifestyle in tents
And The Majority Didn’t Survive Because Of It.
The yamnaya did very well
@jasonfromguitarcenter They didn't have a choice. Just today we don't much of a choice. Look at the price of education and the price of a home. It's more logical to choose being a nomad looking at the amount it takes just to maybe be in debt by 50 and then have the retirement age raised and plus social security is about to cut by 2034. Yea it's easier to not play the game. Our acseneters would've done the same if you made everything cost that much.
@@jasonfromguitarcenter the hell do you mean majority didn't survive? they clearly survived that's why humans exist today...not like people had AI like data bases on health and mortality rate for MOST of humanity so be careful with getting info about life from movies and tv. it ironic because those who live this type of life are 1000 times more capable at survival than most domesticated humans who truly only survive if they do what daddy gov says and even then, they'll be forced into a situation where they have to survive on the streets cause they cant afford daddy govs lifestyle

As someone who briefly rented, it gives a person a chance to figure out if you can/want to stick around the area or just move really far away. Thats about the only positive. Also made sure rent wasn't half my paycheck
Honestly, if I wasn’t taking care of my mom, I’d just live in my car for 6-12 months. You can really make a lot of money that way. I follow another creator named, Jack Morgan RLP. He lived in his car for a while and made bank because well, you keep that money rent would steal. Heck, much less homes. I’m a millennial, and I have already written off getting a house.
Honestly with the way things are going. I'm kinda seeing the charm in camping. It's way WAY cheaper, it gives you a reason to maintain your 'home' and, you can 'move house' wherever you want... Within reason.
Well of course it's a scam. Everything is a scam. You either play along or you don't.
Absolutely. The entire world ‘system’ is one huge scam.

2 years on the street at 18 was the golden years and now that life is getting hard im glad over the years I have learned far more about street life then I did back then now if it happens again im set for life
I've been homeless. Nobody wants to be homeless, dude. Nobody. Take it from me, I lived it. I know what it is to set up your tent at night and put it all into a bag in the morning.
Living in your car is the luxury version of homelessness, and it's still something to avoid.
So you basically just don’t live there, you don’t live there you really just don’t so it’s not a place you live. It’s just a place you sleep.
And here I thought TikTok would actually be banned this time, guess I was wrong.
Well if that's that case, Why bother with Renting at all? May as well just buy a house if possible and start paying off that Morgage. Least the Morgage eventually gets paid off, Renting is forever.
Alternatively their is always community living. If "society" expects everyone to live individually, their is always Dormitory/Community living. Yeah your still paying the same amount, but everyone is paying LESS. Just seems logical to me.
I get paid to teach fitness classes, both yoga and pilates and I'm only paid for the part where I show up and teach. I'm putting in 30+ hours a week in total and only getting paid for half of that. And I have to continue my education in order to finally host retreats and hope I can make money doing that. I'm exhausted! I was in a bicycle accident that didn't pay out enough and in dealing with pain everyday. But instead of getting on disability and calling it a day, I wanted to keep contributing to society. Then there are people like Hawl Tewie girl who add zero value to society who is a millionaire. How are we supposed to get ahead? Education is really expensive!!
Sleeping in a tent, or in your car is not a good solution to save money on rent. I have actually done it before not fun. Just get a roommate and split expenses.
Down with the land barons. We have the right to exist
I grew up in rural America, I’ve learned how to fish hunt n all with my dad and grandpa so even if I was in their shoes I’d be still better off thanks to these skills. I feel sad and terrible for my generation living like this. But if you’re living in a tent or what not. Electricity won’t last forever. Primitive tech will prevail for ya.
Hopefully those struggling in my generation can find peace and success one day ❤️
Wouldn't be surprised on that considering how bad things are in these times.
Banks are way too comfortable handing out sketchy loans and mortgages because they know the government will bail them out.
Let the consequences happen and let's see a house market crash.
I think the only way you should have a rental property is by paying 100% cash. If you don't have enough pool with other investors, not banks backed up with a money printer.
This coming from a home owner and someone who considered a rental property but bought other investments instead because housing is out of control.
Not even Gen Z, Millennials and genX as well are saying goodbye to rent and living in vans and Rvs. At least here in CA

I just bought a house last year in August. It cost me 80k. Yes, I bought a house in America for 5 figures. Yes the roof leaks, yes the furnace cost me 5 grand to replace. My advice... Buy land and put up a shed or RV. Good God I am TRAPPED! I am forced to work every god damned day to make ends meet and my mortgage is only 800 bucks, but that's just the mortgage, let's talk about utilities, car insurance, etc.

Why be Homeless,
Go back to your parents , and live there RESPECTING their Rules.
Incredible, but this is America now.I believe some Socialism at least regarding to housing would be advisable.
An RV is not an asset. They depreciate at an outrageous pace. Assets appreciate in value. Many of the newer RVs and campers also are hideously unreliable and poorly made. I have watched them be built for about 5 years now, and I immediately decided i would never own one. If ya got the money a remodeled sprinter van or just a tent would work out better in the long run. Remember there is no lemon law for RVs. If you have a RV or camper that is doing great and haven't had any major problems then you lucked out.
The place you live be it a RV, car, apartment, or house is not an asset. Just because home values typically go up doesn't make it an asset. Between insurance, property tax, repairs, and mortgage interest you are far from making a home an asset.
Rental properties ARE assets, but they don't serve as your residence. Homes are by far the most stable living arrangement you can choose, but stability does not = fiscally profitable (which is what differs something between being a liability or an asset).
That's a good breakdown of it.
This chenel is gold ❤

better be a good mechanic then if you get an RV and no joke good luck with parking even campsites are getting ridiculous now for price and just finding a spot cause so many people are moving there with their RVs. Could go to a big parking lot like walmart obviously downside is got no hook up to anything. The best thing about that dudes life is he at least has a loyal woman by his side that shit is more pure and rarer then gold these days. I hope they succeed
