When i was a kid my neighbour fitted an engine inside the back wheel to a bike just like yours. We went for a spin round the block with me on the crossbar. Your efforts here brought back happy memories, Many thanks for posting .
A retired friend of mine who was a mathematical engineer built a couple way back in the day. They're still in his basement. He built a hovercraft also.

Top Speed?
About 10-15mph. Could use some gears as well to go faster but that feels fast enough for me!
