Thanks, it worked like a charm! Used 2 wood popsicle stick to maintain the slot space and make a form for the JB Weled to set-up. Happy guy here and saved $175 to $400 to replace it.
Thanks Chris. I was able to remove mine & saw the broken area that you have as well. Note: they small screw was to keep the "tag" of the shade from coming out of the original slot & probably was the source for the plastic breaking after many hot & cold cycles. Good video!
You my friend are the king. Mine was not broki g but wasnt winding up. After i saw you doing with the twisers with the little notch i tried it out and know after 1.5 years it finally works like new again💪💪💪💪 how didnt i find you earlier🙏

Chris, does it matter from which side of the frame you access the metal clip?
I think that I accessed it from the rear edge. Good luck! Mine are still holding up well.
