That first 4 mins was literarily flawless. I went to college for English Lit i wasted a LOT of my time analyzing the structures of well-known fiction. That was SUCH a good intro to a literary topic, its not actually easy to do what you did in those 4 mins. Im saving this so i can plagarize those 4 mins for another setting, thats how solid it was. You neatly bypassed all the pitfalls of exposition and actually set up the narrative
That's incredibly kind of you to say, thank you! I was actually worried about the amount of exposition I was adding at the start, primarily from giving the Eldari two lines of text, whereas the other factions all had one. But yeah please do take the structure, anything to help out!
Recently went bald, was going to end it all until i saw this video. What happened to the necrons, the whole race being turned into chrome domes, I could relate.
Video idea. A story involving Custodes! Or perhaps the tale of Logan Grimnar from the novel "The Emperor's gift" his parlay scuffle with the Grey Knights!
Thank you again for posting so frequently, your videos are soothing, sometimes hilarious and help me sleep while absorbing lore i didn't know anything about✊🏿
A bit of ash, a pop pf pink, a little soldier made of Zink! With this spell I cast, let your hopes and dreams be dashed! Let many changes come your way, for the god of tricks all must obey.
Ahah thankfully not, but given that the topic is slightly more dour than some of the other vids I wanted to throw a little "everything is ok" message in at the start
Are your videos available on any other platforms or otherwise that provide offline play of your content? I really enjoy it, but RUclips is not ideal for my listening needs.
Wonder what they might be like if they got their bodies back but lacked souls. Think they might turn out something like the orks. Shattered soulless minds I think they would take a darker turn.
It would be terrifying if the Destroyers began to manipulate the tyranids to ‘concentrate’ the life. Then again their rage would probably prevent this and it would be improbable of a hive fleet being bested by just a handful of destroyers.
Ah fantastic! The portion of the vid where I talk about them razing all life on a world, from apex predators down to the microbes was heavily inspired by a section of that book!
Wait, this is narrated using AI? wow! Also I have a question, are all of the lower class of necron damaged from their long stasis or just most of them?
the skorpekh destroyers are quite a sight to behold as well as a tough enemy to deal with, luckily there is a member of the salamanders chapter of the astartes knows a great deal of knowledge in how to combat them
i wonder what the tyranids would have done if the necrons just pretended to be dead as they usually do? They have no biomass after all, so maybe they would just move along
if the necrons and the swarm get together im sure the tyrannids biological abilities would easily allow them to grow new bodies for the necrons. let us hope the swarm does not realize the benefits of diplomacy
What's faster: A Lokhust Destroyer chasing the last remaining survivor on a planet or a Speed Freek with red paint Bonus question: Can there be Flayed One Destroyers?
You are either flayed one or a destroyer Flayed ones are simply degenared crazed maniacs. Destroyers are full with hate and pain about their passed flesh. WE ARE NOT THE SAME xD
So long as the speed freek has fuel, then I'd say the good old Ork will take the lead, but the destroyer won't stop trying to catch him! Good question on the Flayer Destroyers, but there thus far hasn't been an officially written instance of there being a Necron afflicted with both curses (that I know of). The two conditions are somewhat antithetical, in that the Destroyers are disgusted by life, whereas the Flayed ones are somewhat obsessed with it (if only to consume), so the two curses might not be able to coexist in one necron.
Good question, I would certainly imagine less than 10%, in fact I would probably assume 10% to be around the amount of outcasts in general (so destroyers + flayed ones). I would hazard a guess at around 5%, but as far as I know, we don't have any lore which gives an estimate at the numbers which are afflicted.
Maybe this is just the Oldcrons fan in me wanting to complain about the Tomb Kings in SPACE!!! Newcrons, but I honestly kind of wish that they hadn't changed the backstory of the Destroyers in this way. I totally get that SOME Necrons want their flesh back, or at least souls, but I also like the Necrons who embrace their new, superior form, and then want to further empower it. Their machine body can support so many advantageous options, like the obvious skimmer body, or their big cannons. Movement wins matches, both in and out of the lore, and if the Hypercrypt Legions, like the Nephrekh Dynasty, are willing to embrace teleportation, and the strain those energies could be to either kind of body, it would seem advantages would be embraced, as well as more basic Necrons could be upgraded, and work.
This is what happens when you elevate the weak along with the strong, they cling to the old...it would be nice, if gw added that the destroyers are as they are because of THE BETRAYAL that stripped their souls(and flesh)(tho given how miserable their lives were - doubtful))
Yeah I was a huge fan of the old necron lore, in fact they were one of my favourite factions back in the day before the big lore-shift happened, but to be honest I've grown warmer towards this new stuff. But I would also prefer it if the old Destroyer ideals still existed to some capacity, as you say with some of them wanting to empower themselves. The two ideals could mix quite well
@@Scholarslore I'll have to admit that, in spite of myself, I too grew to like the Newcron lore, at least a bit more. There was something neat about emotionless, implacable machine menaces, seeking to simply wipe the slate clean, and be immune to coercion, intimidation, or flattery, but I guess we DID already have the organic that, wirh Nids, and the Oldcrons could have felt like they were simply from a single world, with no need for alternate paint schemes, detachments, etc, so I do appreciate that element of their development. I guess I would still just be happier with Oldcron Destroyers, Flayed Ones, and especially Pariahs, back.😊
I always think that they might have fared better had they not demanded immortality from the Old Ones. Like be a bit more reasonable and ask them for SPF 40,000?

Thank you for watching them! I'm always pleased to see that people enjoy this stuff, so it means a lot to hear
The new voice is perfect, and the script is also perfect. supreme word choice.
Sounds like a Attenborough ripoff
Originally it was literally his voice
@@RumblesBettr why we listen haha.
Thank you very much
I kinda liked listening to Attenborough talk about Warhammer. But I'm not opposed to this one. It's still well written.
perfect bedtime listening

comphy wit frens
Glad you enjoyed it
These vids are the best part of my Thursday
Glad to hear it!
Thank you there is the video regarding the destroyers again :)
You're very welcome
The beginning of the video was wholesome af. FOR THE EMPEROR!!! THE TRUE SAVIOR OF HUMANITY.
I also really rrally like the tau
We all gotta find a path somehow 💪
I loved the first iteration* of this video but this is certainly a worthy successor...worth a big mountain of teef
*In D Attenborough style
Haha yeah those first versions will always have a special place for me, but I'm glad this second version was still enjoyable, thank you
