Everyone neglects the Indian Army in the history of WW2. The Indian Army inflicted some of the first losses on Axis forces in Africa, fought heroically in North Africa and fought the Japanese to a standstill in Burma and NW India (now Bangladesh).

The commentary seems to confuse horses and mules, and also uses "English" as a synonym for "British" in taking note of the non-Indian officers. This newsreel doesn't try to present an overly "mechanized" vision of the Indian Army battling the Axis in 1940 and so shows us plenty of pack animals, etc.
