If you've made my Tres Leches Cake before, then you will love this recipe. Milk' N Berries cake is essentially a tres leches cake with lots of fresh berries, and whipped cream, which I feel helps make the cake feel almost lighter. It's sweet, creamy, and incredibly refreshing with fresh, seasonal fruits.
There is an amazing Cuban bakery in LA that I love, Porto's Bakery, whose cake inspired this recipe.
The founder, Rosa, was born in Cuba. The bakery's story said when she was a child, she grew up with the smells of cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla from her mother's baking. It reminds me of my own childhood in Ireland, where my mom's baking helped ignite my own passion!

Hi Gemma! I’m a little late but I just tried your recipe. I love the Porto’s Milk N Berries and decided to recreate it. It tastes exactly like Portos. EXACTLY! I can’t get enough and can’t even explain how divine this cake is. It’s so easy too! I used a sheet pan and cut the sheet into two. It was perfect! Thank you!

Hi Gemma ! This cake is luscious! I always love a rustic look. Where I live, I have tried Tres Leches cake & found it too soggy, but this cake is moist! And I love the addition of fresh berries!

What is regular milk? All I know is evaporated and fresh milk .

This is one of my favourite desserts and tres leche very moist creamy and gives fruity texture berries gives it lil tangy and sour taste which makes it more refreshing.. I love this recipe Gemma❤️

Oh no. This recipe is reliant on eggs for you to get the same result. I don’t recommend it.

I think it will keep overnight. Just make sire it’s covered and chilled in the fridge.

Whenever I do whip the egg whites it will be thick and fluffy. But after adding other ingredients it will become so liquidy. How can I avoid that and make ir perfect?
Hi. You can try this. Spoon gently into the egg white mixture and fold gently. It should give you a good result. Hope this helps.
