This pedal is so impressive, it cured my strumming problems with my installed SBT pickups. It adds some slight white noise but this can be forgiven as it does really cure many problems with SBT pickups. Good, good product.

@@lyotomachida2478 SBT means Soundboard Transducer. That will be pickups like the K&K mini, which are installed on the bridgeplate (soundboard) of the guitar instead of the normal undersaddle pickups like the normal Fishman stuff.

I notice that D-18 has an incredible, almost high-def bass sound, even before the Session adds it’s magic. In listening to other demos of the D-18 itself, I don’t hear that great bass- what am I missing here? Is there additional studio processing and EQ going on? Please, please let viewers know what is causing such a great sound even before the Session makes it even tastier...

I thinks it's the anthem honestly, I have a standard Anthem in my 2017 D-18 and it really brings that bass through. I've had a few people comment on it when playing live, that the overall sound of the guitar is excellent, and that the bass is very present and big, but not overwhelming. The D-18 has an awesome balance, but I really think the Anthem just brings out the best of the guitar for a plugged in sound. I was plugging just straight into a house DI, I just got a Para DI and holy cow does that just make everything even better. Adds clarity and sparkle.

Printera thanks, I was wondering if it was the pickup. Amazing how the Anthem enhances the tone. I usually associate rosewood with full lows but the Anthem brings the lows out even in a mahogany guitar. Now I just have to talk to a luthier about whether an Anthem can be added to my existing acoustics or whether I need to get a new one. 😮🙂

@@pjiossi It really is a fantastic pickup system. It brings out a lot of the natural sound your guitar makes, so you get a warmer, sweeter sound plugged in. Adding a DI or pre amp makes it even better. I just added a Para DI and WOW. Its night and day compared to plugging directly into a DI. It adds clarity, depth and sparkle. Super worth it! The installation of the anthem is non invasive. The wires are ran inside the guitar are are taped down, and the jack is just a 1/4" jack that goes where your endpin is. It should be able to go in any acoustic with no worries.

Printera a luthier will have to figure out switching out the existing pickups but I’m sure there must be a way

Does it have the Martin factory equipped bone saddle or does it have a Tusq saddle?

Hi! The pickup I have on my Martin D-28 is an LR BAGGS Element Active System VTC and not an Anthem SL as you demonstrate in this video. Do you think I could extract good sound with my Element Active System the same way you could extract with Anthem SL using this pedal?
    Thanks!!

If you use this for recording, will it pick up the backing track from the monitors? I'm looking for a studio solution so I don't have to wear headphones to track.

Hello, the tuning is a half step down, with indeed a dropped D. He playes with the capo on the 3th fret. So if you have normal tuning on your guitar, just drop the low E down to D and put your capo on fret 4. Hope this is helpfull.
