The only weakness that Lara ever had was his own mind. Line and length seamers like McGrath and Angus Fraser were his kryptonite because they would keep plugging away on the same spot until Lara got bored and lost his concentration. But against great spinners like Warne and Murali, Lara feasted because reacting to their variations kept his mind focused and brought out the best in him. It has been almost 20 years since he retired and he's still got the eyes, hands, and feet to get on top of the most dominant spinner in world cricket. And he still makes batting look better than anyone else in the history of the game.
Dats awesome and brilliant comment. Between Sachin and Lara I always rate Lara the best. The way he ovened the Aussies, the way he dugged out from worst to the greatest is simply beyond the cricket game.
