Would it be a Win against England or A world record and make england toil on the field for over 2 days. Nowadays because of WTC, winning a test match has become important while at that time, test matches were more like a place where you can grind your skills as a player and test your limit and it wasn't very much about win but more about individual performances and great spells/innings, that's why if this match was happening today, they must have declared after Lara's 300 to win it but they kept going and match was drawn.

Also, back then there used to be much better bowling McGrath, Warne,Gillespi, Wasim,Waqar, Shoaib, Asif,Donald, Pollock, kluslener, Ntini, Steyn,Kumble. All legends used to bowl really great. Also batting was much more competent as well. Nowadays only watching England's test are delight all other countries look really pale and the matches feel no different than ODIs.

She died that night, she was suffering from breast cancer but at the time i didnt know how unwell she was. Will always be a bettersweet day for me.

So many legendary bowlers with more than 500+ wickets have been in 90s and 2000s era. After that the bowling really declined. No unique records were made etc. It doesn't feel any different than ODIs. Only England's test cricket remains the same as before. Scoring tons and tons of runs and also bowling greats ( Anderson,broad) still taking many wickets.
