For every activity and experience we have to use sense organs or cognitive organs, similarly we are useing apropriate instruments for any kind of jobs. And it is obvious the functions and works of our sense organs belongs to unconscious level of consciousness. The linguistic and logical capability of our mind belongs both unconscious and conscious levels of our consciousness. And intuition as the very subtle conscious capability can work in unconscious, conscious and superconscious levels of the entire field of consciousness. In order to activate the intuition we have to step by step limit the functions and especially activity of the senses, speaking and thinking. We can pass the bridge between our mind and pure consciousness by way of our intuition.
You could say that limiting thinking and sensing etc is simply noticing when Consciousness is using those faculties. Allowing them to have their rightful function and not Identifying as them.

Rupert Spira seems to have hit upon a set of analogies and metaphors that are very clear and contemporary that really brings it home and makes it real, not just intellectual, it seems to me. Notice that he does not talk about anything supernatural or metaphysical-- he is describing and pointing to an aspect of the human experience of reality often ignored. It really brings the traditional religious languaging to life!

Great video. I always found the reflected moonlight metaphor a little misleading and Rupert showed me exactly why that was and how to see through it.
