I am no expert in this but I think you should fall under 0/1. Please dont count on my opinion because I am not an expert in this. As far as job is concerned, Indian experience in my case isn't helping me much but few people I know did start at managerial positions (although not at the level they were in India). However, you might start with these certifications and might climb up the ladder quickly should you perform good. Hope I was able to answer. Thanks!

Hi ! thanks for writing in. Although, I am no expert but if I were to answer, the first step is to get a work permit / permanent residency. Without a PR or work permit, its next to impossible to get a job here, in my experience. Once you have a work permit / PR, you can do some certifications to build your profile. In my view, doing the certification without PR is also not going to be useful. Sorry for a blunt answer but just wrote what is correct in my opinion so that you take the right path :) take care and stay safe

Yes, absolutely. Both, IFC and CSC will lead you to get mutual fund license however CSC has a broader horizon in terms of expanding your career paths. So if you are looking at a serious retail branch banking career, CSC is what you should do. All the best.

Thanks for this informative video ! I am a new PR in Canada landed on 5th Feb to stay with my husband finally after a period of long distance. I have a decade experience in banking back in India, was working as a deputy manager in retail and digital banking in a public sector bank. I was searching for opportunities here but I believe we need referrals. I am absolutely fine with starting as a teller or CSR or personal banker and part time over here but is it possible by any chance to arrange for a referral. I am preparing for the IFIC exam also in the meantime but want to be acquainted with the overall branch banking scenario so part time will be better I guess. I have applied in couple of banks but yet to hear from them. Thanks in advance 🙂
