These are well known strategies for those who are trading horses. He doesn't have to be a pro to give a BASIC guide. These strategies are the theory. The profitability comes from years of being in the market and knowing on what races to use which strat and more importantly how you can read the race and get out

    • @SportsTradingLife

@@aliniosif13 Thanks, Alin is right. There is nothing new or unique about these methods. Just a quick demonstration. You need lots of work to make these work!

Hi Ben. Thanks for sharing another trading video. I have dabbled with the b2l on both outsiders and favourites, as a swing trade. I found that by knowing how the horse runs, by looking at previous form, if it's likely to b a front runner or not. By looking at the betfair graph 15 mins b4 the race, allowed me to decipher, which horses were drifting to their maximum price for the day and just when the graph shows it turning back to steam, then entered the swing trade. Exit point 10 ticks below or 10 ticks higher for stop loss.

Such a great video thank you so much for creating this video for all us beginners.
Can I ask when you showed the DOBing strategy. You picked Cool Man at 8.4 and placed £10 stake. This was one bet but in the open bets there were 5 or so open bets. Can I ask the reason for this please?
    Many Thanks,

I think it’s because the whole £10 didn’t get matched all at once. So for instance £2.50 might have been matched to start with then another £4.20 might have been matched and this would count as two separate bets, and so on until the whole £10 has been matched

I understand the mechanics of most of the trading systems after watching the video but what I don't understand is how do you select your horses for each system. I know it was only for demo purposes but surely we aren't picking a horse because of the name or the current odds?

I’m coming from a matched betting background too, and am interested in the swing trading strategy. This is pretty much what I have been doing to get low qualification bets on for the money back offers for 2nd. In that case you use the calculator to work out what stake you have to put on. I notice that you just back and lay the same amount, so you only profit if the horse wins. Why is this.? Also a bit more explanation about Greening up would be great if poss? Thanks for the videos though, excellent stuff!

To look for horses for DOBING I have seen in another guide to get a free login to the Time form website, then as you go through the races for the day if you hover mouse over the horse name it will open up a screen showing the SP and the hi/lo in running for its past races. Look for the pattern there of a good drop in odds in the vast majority of the horses races. I am paper trading at the moment on this to get good at spitting them before starting to put my money down

I did the back to lay strategy.. did five races and the first two went well, the last three.. disaster, first race the horse pulled up after less than a furlong, carrying an injury or got injured at the start, second race the horse was odds on, and just ran badly, third race, the horse literally fell out of the stall and never figured...I think in those races, it was in two cases just bad luck, rather than the strategy

Very few people make a living from this. You can study the field to increase your chances in play, the best of the bunch I reckon would be lay to back if you can spot a false favourite the odds are on your side just about but the rest like scalping and pre match trading are either not worth the time spent looking for an opportunity for a small gain or the markets will go against you so often it will drive you crazy, I should know been trying since 2012 and have been driven crazy.
Not knocking you though, your tennis stuff is very good and I have formulated some simple strategies myself from that but the horses will take years off even the most careful trader.
