In this Sketchbook Time I work on a landscape drawing in my new Royal Talens sketchbook (which I love, by the way - more about that in a future video!) using Caran d'Ache Luminance and Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils. I used a reference photo of a landscape in the North of England as the starting point for the artwork, taking the elements that inspired me and combining them with my imagination to create this piece in a beautiful muted colour palette.
Another beautiful & calming video ✨ It was so interesting to see how you tweaked the picture at the end, the plough lines were a great addition! ✨📖✍️🖼🙌✨😘 xxx
Thank you so much - I'm so pleased that I decided to change it! The Posca pen works brilliantly over the top of the pencil. I'm going to be using them more often! 🤗😘 xxx
Hi Natasha, I am going through all your old videos randomly as youtube suggests them :) The Art Club did sound super fun, but I can imagine how much work it was. I recently opened a Patreon, as it is a lot more work than I expected! But I love it :)
Hi April! I'm going to be launching a Patreon this month (I'm working on putting it together at the moment) which will be like the art club but hopefully more sustainable for me this time! They are a lot of work, but great for building a community and a little extra income too. :)
Well - I have to say that it is actually refreshing to watch a video where someone isn't picture perfect (regarding your comment on your nail polish). There is so much vanity in this world at baseline and social media has only exaggerated it. So - thank you for being brave and showing your followers that you are human just like the rest of us. Kudos! Love your artwork too - as always!
Hi Natasha, I am so glad that I enter in your Ko-Fi Art club earlier this week. You are such an inspiration, I fell back in love with colour pencils. Thanks for the tips and tricks, it’s lovely to hear your sunny voice and your relaxing music.
Thanks Chrissie, I'm glad you did too! It's great to hear that you've fallen in love with coloured pencils again. I think that they're such a versatile medium and I look forward to sharing my future experiments with them!
Thanks Fran, I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it! Sharing my process like this also makes me more conscious of what I'm doing/my reasoning and decision making etc. I love documenting it like this!
That makes good sense to me. I don’t record my work, but I do talk it through out loud to myself. It really does help. 🤔 Thinking out loud when shopping, especially for art supplies, I talk to myself and discuss what the products. I’ve had people respond to me and I just thank them. COVID has helped with that as we aren’t close together and have on a mask. 😷🤭 🤫
Hi Becca! I closed it down a few months ago in order to fully concentrate on RUclips. I enjoyed it, but it was taking up a lot of time and something had to give... I kind of see this community on here as the art club now!

Let's pause for a moment of appreciation of Natasha getting a perfect border with no tape.
Love your style! I was only going to buy individual pencils but after watching your swatches of the Luminance, I want to buy the whole 100 set!

Ha ha, thanks Barbara! I spend half my life with chipped nail polish (I have no idea how people can work / clean / etc. and have perfect nails!).
Lovely and relaxing, great to have on in the background and keep me company whilst drawing. Thanks Natasha xx
Thanks Mel! Loved working on this piece. So fun to share the process (and the little addition at the end!). Hope your work is going well. xx

Hi Natasha……found this video….one year late……are you currently offering any classes on any of the teaching sites?
Hi Lynn! Not at the moment, but I will be launching my Patreon soon and I'll be sharing a more in-depth look at my process and techniques there. :)
Heyy am I can make a acrylic paint with this book ?
I don't really use mine for acrylic painting as the paper isn't very thick!

@@NatashaNewtonArt aww… that’s too bad. Thankfully I have many more of your videos to watch :)
