Whoa I had to pinch myself just to make sure I was awake when I saw ya posted a vid!! Glad to know ya still kickin bubba! Hope everything is going awesome for you and the family.
Soon as I saw the gusher out of the oil pan, my first thought was someone just kept driving along without a clue until the engine wouldnt go any further or it was so hot it couldnt. Interesting to say the least. Glad to see your still alive and kickin and diggin thru the vault apparently. Hope all is good man take care
@@edwardduran8830 believe it, my 2011 doesnt have a temp guage on it, its was a WTF moment the first time i noticed it wasnt there when i got the car. my car is doing fine but the early ones didnt have the dash temp guage.
even with a temp gauge this wouldn't be prevented, as this engine only has a coolent temp sensor and guess what happens if it runs dry? It misses a cylinder head temperature sensor

Hey Brad, nice to see you are still kicking. I hope everything is well with you. It's no wonder it overheated. All the coolant was in the oil pan. {:-)
That little motor can go for 300,000 miles if you watch over the support systems. Had a 1990 Mazda with the same 1600cc dual OHC. Ticked along and was still going strong at 280k when sold, as the car interior and electrical stuff was coming apart. In that time it blew one water pump and two small plastic radiators till I replaced it with a racing oversized metal aftermarket. Stop it within a half mile of the overheat warning and they hold up. All Dads know the electric car can't come fast enough. Eventually every Dad hears, the light came on so I drove it right home as fast as I could (50 miles). Is it OK?
My friend had a old Mazda that he did a shitty with then he knocked the tire off the back after clipping another vehicle then he speed away dragging the rear tire by the E brake cables 😆
A ford fiesta has an engine??? Who knew... I just though they were foot powered like on the flintstones... :) By the way, were can i get me some of that super thin green motor oil? As always, good to see you back on youtube. Thanks for the videos!
The only engine Ford tells you to scrap in the event of coolant intrusion, step 11 of the workshop manual, if coolant intrusion is found in cylinder, replace long block. Sucks, I really like the Fiesta ST
I really enjoy your videos. Hopefully you can get together with triangle diagnostics someday. Also on the new taurus's when they change the water pump do they have to pull the engine?
Old post, but I just did a 3.5l ecoboost 3.5 taurus Timing set/water pump without pulling the engine. Actually had pretty good access to the cover. I spent about 8 hours total on it.
Hi, what's the name of the plastic box in the center of the bloc at 6:16 plz It's leakin oil, I have to change the gasket but I don't know it's name thx
Damn! i wanted to see you put it back together. How do i get back to tdc if i messed up on the initial? I received my tool today and the cams are coming off anyhow, just wondering how do you set the timing when all is lost??? 2015 fiesta 1.6 with vvt. I broght the engine up to tdc wondering are there two different setting. Pin is in #1 piston up. Will it work? My question is, how do i set the timing like if the belt broke and i was to install a new cyl head all from scratch?
Engine blew up in dad's focus there was 3 days left in his warrenty... How lucky is that but when ford got it in they said they were putting a used engine in it with no warranty and insisted he signs for this he walked away and said he wanted a brand new engine with a 12 month warranty they laughed at him but a week later they called him and agreed to fit the new engine with warranty I think its disgusting how they treat people! The customer ran the car hot......way hot which warped half the internals of the engine. They then filled it with anti-freeze which went straight into the crankcase due to the inability to seal correctly.
Hello, good morning, I am a follower of your channel and I am contacting you, to be able to comment on the following situation that occurs in my vehicle, Ford mondeo mk2 2.5 v6, one morning the battery was discharged, without knowing how to change the battery, when month or so, the car stopped in full operation, it was as if the electricity had died, stop, giving it and giving it until it started, again as if the battery was without charge, it was only a month old, I changed the alternator regulator , and well, I bought it, it charges over 14.5V, and I considered the fault finished, one day cleaning the interior, I left the radio on, while I cleaned, and nothing a few minutes later, the voltage began to drop, less to less, until the battery was discharged at that moment, I was surprised because that had never happened to him, I did another test, with the battery charged again, I gave the contact, after a short time, equal to less to less , that in a moment the battery goes away, I recharge it, install it, and leave it and connected approximately 2 months, until I realized that the red light of the alarm did not blink, I checked it and discharged, that did not happen in the past either, it carried out the current leakage test with the multimeter, because I told myself that this would have to be a current leak, it is the logical thing to think, and what was my surprise, that the value it gave is 0.02 amps, with the battery just charged, so there is no current leak, I have also performed the voltage drop test and it gives 000v both positive and negative, and then what happens to it? I don't even know what else to do, regarding what I am explaining to you, I await your prompt clarification, please, greetings.
There is no point to this video. A busted radiator hose and customer that kept driving was the cause of over heating. A new engine and set of hoses was the fix. This dead disassembly was random footage I had laying around without the complete filming of the whole job.......my subscribers wanted to see it so I put it up.
Just goes to show you, as a talented technical person can do anything and be successful! I’m glad you teach your technical knowledge! On a side note I do the gas turbine power plant gig, don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. Glad to see you back!
I have a 2012 fiesta that won't give any codes but it's been lacking power.Had to replace the alternator once figuring that was the problem but nope car just keeps putting itself in limp mode. Not a battery issue or wires, not an alternator issue.Gave the throttle body a clean, that didnt do it.Went to ford dealer and they told me the alternator had to be replaced as well as the throttle body. This was before I replace the alternator.Anybody else have issues like this?? My last resort is just to get the whole engine area checked by a specialist or replace the throttle body.
I don't remember, the customer opted for a used engine, so it wasn't too expensive. I just took this one apart for the heck of it to see how bad things were.
Looks like the fiesta’s over

Let me guess Ford is still making them without temp gauges?
Cooling fan goes bad , blows the 40 amp fuse and bingo new engine....

Reptiles and Avian species have a single opening called the cloaca where everything comes out. Apparently, the Fiesta has one too.
