That makes me laugh. I remember that one of my sisters was a bit sheepish about telling her class that her Dad was a livestock trucker in a school report. So, Dad changed his title from buying and trucking livestock to "Livestock Procurement and Relocation Executive". Sounds like you and Rooster think alike!

Hearing the kids in the back ground is funny. You all are keeping it real. I think that it may have been a different podcast that you talked about lethargic drivers. And yes I agree as the industry moves towards self driving we are just steering wheel holders and test dummies as they test the electronics.

I was not over the road very much of my life, but I have experienced so much of what you tell about. If you are ever in NE SD you have access to my shop and all I have. God bless all of you. Somewhere in New mexico/Arizona. Bad storm, blowing we where in pickup 36 foot trailer with milk cows and heifers. Could only do about 30 mph and I had to stare at the white line when I could see it to try and find my way along I40 when my buddy demands I stop right now. He jumps out old the truck and is gone for a min or 2 when I see him in the rear camera under the neck of the trailer answering nature's call. Turns out the side door was froze shut and he couldn't go inside, so in the blizzard he went. After laughing as he got back in the truck we attempted to pull off the shoulder..........after a bit of rocking and half a bag of grain under the wheels we got moving again.

10:39 [Orchestral accompaniment: a fired-up triangle sound] COME'N GEDDIT!! This burn was so all-encompassing, they ought to declare your corner of pasture, B-B-Q Acres. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey, now: Califor-nye-ay born-and-bred, and I don't take offense to this observation, AT ALL! (And that duck face appears to be your correspondent's only redeeming quality.) As for the so-called 'Golden State'? You know the drill--CA: Home of Fruits, Nuts and Flakes.
    😂Cold weather data:
Car broke down outside of Kamloops, B.C., Canada. As cold as your Montana December. No one, for miles around. Car pulls up (Canadians are thoughful road warriors!); discovers the problem--car too cold to run. They end up pouring their (always on hand) flask of PURE GRAIN ALCOHOL into the radiator. Car turned over like a charm, and chugged to Kamloops safety!
20 below, Banff, Canada: put a ketchup bottle in a snow drift overnight to chill it? It KER-SPLODES.
40 below, WITH WIND CHILL Lethbridge, Canada: inhaling the outdoor air, BURNED.
