Just a tip, change to a baffled oil pan. Especially when drifting its common for sr20 to have oil starvation due to no baffling in the oil pan.

Adding a swirl-pot (radiator header tank) on SR motors is something to consider because even with a decent cooling setup you will still get cavitation from the water pump which creates hot-spots and swirl-pot constantly bleeds any air in the system.
Also a Nistune ecu would give you cheap access to tuning the motor.

A lot of people dis the sr20 but it really is the best engine for this car imo. Is a jz, ls, rb, a better engine? Definitely. Is even the ka-t a great engine? Yeah sure. But theres something magical about a sr powered s-chassis. Just seems right. Like coke or pepsi with pizza. brownies with ice cream.

I probably would have gone to Jay if it was mine but if you guys got a good deal and it's running reliably I would prefer to do Nissan or Nissan versus you know doing a foreign engine on you know different car. So I think you guys did the right thing. I imagine it's easier to swap than doing you know a different engine from a different brand or make.
