Trading freedom for safety. There’s a reason it’s called flock control
They see us as a flock of sheep?
I question where it is leading more than what it is being used for today. Yes, cops are using it to find stolen vehicles, and people with warrants, but what about the massive amount of data being collected. I think Flock says it is storing the data in a searchable format for 30 days, but it doesn't say they are then deleting it. When cities place these cameras throughout the city and they are capturing license plate, make/model, timestamp etc. an AI system can begin piecing together a person's weekly routine. At what point could an algorithm predict with a high degree of certainty where a person is most likely to be at any given time? It could predict a person's car purchasing habits, shopping habits, when they go out to eat or drive anywhere. It is only a matter of time before someone gets charged with a crime simply because they were out of their normal driving pattern and in the area of a crime.
1984 was a novel not an instruction manual
Is it really for Safety?
Hell no. Of course it's not.
It's all about control.
Control and this is just the beginning!!!
Like being on parole and wearing an ankle bracelet. Certainly this is nothing but benevolent..and you forgot to mention we have the right to face our accuser and a camera is not a sentient being so who are you working for again? Do a story on that and redeem yourselves.
You must be a criminal
@@JUiiCYLUCYmust be a boot licker
@pcsulex495 ur a butt licker, and ur mum really likes it
If you forgot to reregister your car they will know and will be looking for you so they can make $165.
Time for a new sheriff. Ripe for abuse like the "Patriot" Act or any other "safety" measure.
these are now going to be used to watch truck drivers, no warrant, no court order, the will simply type in the license plate and see where the truck was at various times, comparing this data to the driver's log
You all need to put BIGGER SIGNS. You can blink and miss it. I always drive slow, but sometimes Im going a bit faster than I should. A blinking speed device brings that to my attention better than a tiny sign , It's obvious what this is really for.
All in the name of safety.😅😅😅
Keeping it safe? It’s safe?
Problem solution now we can spy on you but remember it's for your on good
