Yes. Laura’s mom did die of COVID and her niece is the collaborator, who she adopted. I think Laura has grown immensely and I see her trying so hard to learn from life and her past mistakes 🧡🏳️🌈

about brunette vs. brunet, i had sneaking suspicion that this was a classic "english borrowed this word from french" thing going on and sure enough, the -ette ending comes from old french and was used as a feminine version of -et, since many French adjectives and nouns (like many other romance languages) are gendered. Similarly, ladette can be used as a feminine version of lad to describe a young woman who has typically boyish qualities. Prior to the adoption, English only used "brunet", but French was considered the language of the elites so adoption and importation of French spellings was quite common. Languages are fun!

I know a lot of people were confused by or disappointed in the Temptalia palettes, but I really like the colors she chose! I love how shimmer-heavy and jewel toned they are. She definitely could've condensed the three palettes into smaller versions or done more more distinct color stories. It doesn't really bother me, though; I very rarely use just one palette at a time to make an eye look. I ordered the bundle and used a discount code so the palettes came out to about $28 each. The post office says they're out for delivery! :)
I think she made them shimmer heavy on purpose to make them as workable for all skin types as possible by not having a highlight and transition matte shades. I have a lot of mattes that already work for my skin tone and that i like so i love that they dont have a lot of extra matte shades that might not work on a lot of people or be peoples preferred tones.
Sameee, I appreciate that she didn't do a red/gold/neutral palette coz those are the colours that get used the least for me. Just waiting for that restock!
RE brunet, brunette: it’s not “now” gendered, it’s always been gendered because it comes from French. In French red hair is “le cheveux roux”. Gendered as the language classically is, male and female would be “roux/rousse”. Our language isn’t gendered in the same way so we don’t understand it. I’m not debating whether gendered languages (Spanish and Italian are also) should remain gendered, but people are free to do so in the comments if they so wish.
One of the interesting things is that this is an example of the feminine becoming the dominant usage term, when often the masculine is the default. Language evolves and this is one space where I think the overall rejection of the traditionally gendered terms is for the best. (I’m a bilingual Canadian)
Not exactly. Brunet was the original spelling in English until we imported the French version due to the view that french was a more classy and elegant language in the Georgian to Edwardian period. Fiance and fiancee is the same situation. We imported one version under the normans, then re-gendered it later.
Extremely many languages in the world are gendered, with two (male, female) or three genders (female, male, neuter) being the most common. How the words are gendered vary a lot, even within the same language group (Germanic languages, for example). Using the wrong gender for a word is very common when people learn a new language.
The Brunet (reverence to Whiskey) palette has a good colourstory even for me as a Brunette 😁 the shadows are pigmented and easy to use. The colours make my grey/blue eyes pop more blue as normal, the shadows Bourbon and Stout help. Here in Germany our language is gendered and we did use in our common day the maskulin term. Now we need to learn to use the maskulin and the feminin term and it is a long way before this will become a normality. We need to use both the feminine and the maskulin at the same time. If it is possible you find a neutral word like person (not female or male) or you start to talk and write in an unusual way. The word for worker is in English a neutral, but in German we have the feminine "Arbeiterin" and the maskulin "Arbeiter". Now you write and say "Arbeiter*in" - writing is not the problem but speaking it. You say "Arbeiter", inhale shortly and say "in" for both genders. A third gender does not exist in our language like in English "They/Them". This is in German a female/group and not gender neutral. We do use "Brunette" and "Brunet" to and I think to be gender neutral it has to be "brown hair person". This is a political discussion here in Germany for years now, but this year it got heated.

I freaking sold the Muerte palette because it was so bad. I only ended up keeping Smoke Sessions after my declutter. I kept adding Melt palettes to my love list but then I thought what am I doing, and removed them all -- except She's in Parties, which Temptalia said was actually quite a standout
Hi ladies. I received my Sydney Grace order today. Luckily the pan's are magnetic. I immediately rearranged them into a zpalette. The shade's are very close. The formula is fantastic. I have over 40 of her singles so at least I can do some comparisons. Thank you both for all the fun videos 😊
The KVD color story is far better than the Patrick Ta one look palette. I agree the packaging isn't the best. I am for the clear recycling part just not the stars.
I honestly think they should've stopped releasing product during the pandemic and instead used the time to fully rebrand and rethink their whole aesthetic, target audience, appearance, etc. I'm studying all this right now (for fashion) and it's such an interesting topic; if I was allowed to do my final assignment on a cosmetics brand I would have chosen them, they have such a huge opportunity to create something new and amazing and become a leader in cosmetics again but they've gone waaaay off the path.
I actually really like the Bratz collection. The individual palettes are shaped like the boxes that Bratz dolls were packaged in so it makes sense. The color stories work for each character, and I really think the massive one has a lot of shades that I associated with Bratz when I grew up with them. Is it tacky? Yes. Is it nostalgic? Yes. Is it great quality? I don’t know 🤷♀️
Temptalia palettes should’ve been 3 palettes with the alternative light/dark shades as singles. I noticed the more she sneak peaked swatches the more everything started to look the same to me. I thought she would’ve eliminated a lot of the shades.
I think that's the point though, giving different options to people who might want to wear jewel tones so that there's something for everyone instead of one singular palette that may not fit everyone's colouring. Not only does she have light/dark variations but each palette leans toward different undertones as well with one being more cool toned, another more warm, and the last being fairly neutral. Yes, the colours are essentially the same but all the tones are different; I can easily see that one palette (the middle one that's more green/navy) would suit me the best and the other two have tones that would look off on me.
@@bunnyday1473 That's fair, however, if the idea is that 3 different people are buying 1 pallete because it suits them best, then it doesn't make any sense to have them as a 3-pack, as so obviously a whole collection with those cover designs. That's where I get confused with all of this--who has a need for 3 of the same pallete with different undertones that probably won't suit them

In Temptalia & SG's defence, they made the whole launch very flexible. This is not limited edition, so you can wait a whole year and just buy one if you felt like it, and they're not trying to encourage panic buying. They make everything in-house themselves so they can easily control their supply chain. 🏡 Unfortunately currency conversion and import fees/tax (based on your country) is a thing, so of course that sucks, and it's not applicable for everyone. But I feel it's also important to factor in that if you are someone who happens to reside in the U.S, then the 3 palettes after a discount code is applied, brings the price down to $85 for 3 custom magnetic palettes filled with product. That's basically *~$2.36ea for good quality Sydney Grace shadows,* which is even cheaper than Black Friday sales. So for someone like me that represents good value. 🏳️🌈
I agree! While I did end up buying at launch, I had earlier thought to myself if I end up being a fence sitter it's so nice that I have lots of time to decide. I'm going to be trying to get the Lethal x Theresa release tomorrow and I hate getting so anxious about being quick enough

It feels like so many palletes give us at least 2 shades that are "different" but so subtly that on the eye they'll be indiscernible. In Temptalia's case, she's given us three palletes full of it.

I think KVD needs to decide if they're going to be a niche brand that caters to edgy aesthetics or become a brand with a refined, luxury aesthetic. Their color story is more like Bobbi Brown but their packaging says Wet n Wild, but worse.

I got all three of the light version of the Sydney Grace palettes. I love cool tones, hardly ever wear brown, purple and green are some of my favorite colors, and I didn’t have anything from the brand before. The collection was pretty perfect for me. But I totally get how people who only wear neutrals or prefer warm tones would not be a fan.

Hair colors in French are gendered and most of their color words are in general. The only exceptions are red/rouge (but not as in hair), orange/orange, yellow/jaune, brown/marron (again, not usually used to describe hair) pink/rose. What is REALLY AWESOME though is that the terms have HAVE heavily crossed into English are mostly dominated by the feminine. That’s actually not common. I get that it's an overwhelming mess to someone who's not as crazy about jewel tones. I always wear dark, dramatic, but colourful make up so those palettes are totally up my alley.
The funny thing is, while you were talking about the Sydney Grace x Temptalia collab I was swatching Quintessence and On The Horizon and they are much different in person than online. They really look the same online but in my hand and swatching them for myself, the two palettes are pretty different. I might get the last one!
Those Colourpop Cheek Dews are horrible. I got Beyond and there was barely any pigment on my cheeks and it was super patchy. It was like just a clear gel on my face.

Haileys teeth are soooo white, daaamn 😳 And I think the hair color is gendered because the word sounds like it originated in France and they have almost every adjective in two versions according to the gender
I honestly cannot understand the Temptalia palettes. I took a long look at them, and I thought they were all the same palette with two different shades in each one and otherwise the same colours just rearranged. You can look at the set of three, and match the apparent dupes between the palettes. As you say, it looks like a case of being unable to edit down, and unless you're a makeup artist, that's just confusing for the user.
TBH I still think she's annoying, but now I see it in context. She's an overgrown teenager. Laura Lee's energy is chaotic like Jojo Siwa, but that's what makes her so entertaining to watch. I love her collabs with Manny MUA, and I'm glad she's using her money to bless her niece

Love you ladies. I had a good laugh. And yes.... no E at the end of blond for a man either. Also a french word so the whole masculine/feminine applies.

I'm into the Temptalia palettes, I want to pick up the deep versions of Quintessence and On the Horizon. I agree that there's a similar vibe between them all, so I don't think anyone needs all three.
i actually LOVE the fact that the vivienne made her kind of dream palette. i feel like that’s the best kind of collab for an artist with a brand bc it’s sincerely what she enjoys. she’s not known for makeup tutorials or advice, so i don’t mind that it’s tailored to her complexion. it’s meant to be hER perfect colour scheme. it’s kind of like a single palette to encapsulate her entire makeup wardrobe!! worst comes to worst, the face powders can be used as eyeshadow for blending, etc., or can just be ignored
I like the bottom three rows of the Glamlite x Mikayla collab, but the top two are utterly useless to me and I also don't really like Mikayla in general, so that was an easy pass. (She's probably a nice human but good grief, the editing and filtering is just way too much.)
Re: the Brunet stuff. Although, yeah, it does technically exist, basically no one ever uses the masculine spelling of brunette. You just never see it. You see the masculine spelling of blonde (which is blond) marginally more often, but still rarely. (This is probably partly because men are less likely to be talked about in that way than women are.) They words are gendered because they come from French, which (being a Romance language) is a heavily gendered language (as are Italian and Spanish, and probably Portuguese but I can't say that with certainty as I'm less familiar with it). Either way, I have no idea why Melt decided to use that spelling. If they WERE trying to be edgy by seemingly aiming at makeup-wearing men, it requires way too much thought for it to actually be effective.
Just two cents from someone who speaks other languages here. There isn’t such a thing as “lightly” or “heavily” gendered. Languages are gendered or not ;) And to expand on the Latin (aka Romance) languages, they are: Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French and Romanian. You could also include others spoken in smaller regions such as Catalán (spoken in Catalonia - NE Spain), Sicilian, etc. As such, these languages have that grammatical quality embedded in nouns: Gender (3 of them) and number. Fun fact: Latinos are any persons who come from any of these regions whose official language is a Latin language. A Portuguese person is a Latino, so is a French person, etc. I am curious why it got appropriated by or assigned to Latin America exclusively 🤷♀️ Anywho, thank you for coming to my TED talk 😂 Hope this helped :)

I was referring to the way thatin some language, every inanimate object has a gender, and that even the adjectives are gendered according to the nouns they modify. Not all languages are gendered to the same degree. English, for example, does ostensibly gender some things (although this is less and less the case, because modern progressive thinking, etc). It wasn't that long ago that we had "stewards" and "stewardesses" instead of just "flight attendants," after all. And only a handful of years ago, I had to talk someone out of using the term "editrix" (not because she wanted to, but because she was a non-native English speaker and her male boss had convinced her it was absolutely the correct term for a female editor). English is an easier language to de-gender than the Romance languages (I know which languages belong to this group. My disclaimer was about not being certain to what extent Portuguese, specifically, is gendered. And Romanian is a bit of an outlier, although it is arguably the closest to Latin of all the Romance languages). P.S. Italian only has two genders. There's no neuter form.

@@simplyrowen My point is that there blatantly are different degrees to which a language can be gendered, so denying language that seeks to distinguish between those degrees seems nonsensical to me. Some languages only apply genders when referring to animals (including us) in contexts where gender is relevant (or in pronouns used to refer to those animals). Some might have gendered job titles, but might not gender inanimate objects. Some gender their adjectives based on the gender of whatever they're modifying, while others don't. Simply dividing them into gendered/not gendered is an oversimplification that tells us little about the language.

I came out this year and I'm wearing the BH Pride palette right now - quality is good, I liked that they donated more than half the sale of each palette, and I like that it has all the colours of the Progress Pride Flag! (That's my mini review)
The gendered “brunet/brunette” adjetive is just french, in Spanish and Italian we also have gendered adjetives (not just the ones about hair colours). For example, in spanish it would be “moreno/morena”, every adjetive in latin-derived languages has a masculine and a feminine
I don't mind the dose of colors daisy and Donald palette. It's definitely more daisy's color story with the pink and purple and more visually appealing then the Mickey mouse palette or the mini mouse palette. I like the temptalia palettes but definitely too repetitive. I might pick up the one with the leaf green shade.
I think the photos that were used in this episode were swatches from Temptalia herself, before the proper swatch photos and the pr was released to have swatches on other skin tones.
I am so impressed with the updated Lunar Beauty palette, I had no interest in the brand or that palette until this one! This would be a great travel palette, so much choice, and I love that they removed the brush

Yep, blond is a fair haired male and a blonde is a fair haired female. I think it comes from either the French or Italian roots of the words where masculine and feminine variations of the same word are quite common

I hope Sydney Grace sells the Temptalia shades individually - I would be happy to purchase 4 or so shades, but I don't think I would use the majority of any of the three palettes.
I got the Sceptre palette and did a review on my channel... I didn't love it, and I experienced a certain amount of bullying from the Vivienne and their husband... It was very disappointing.
I'm so confused with the Light and Deeptone in the Sidney Grace Co Collab. I thought that they were already trying to have palletes and matching to light medium and deep skin tones by making 3 of them that look the same but deeper.
My theory with the temptalia collab is that there were only supposed to be two palettes originally, the jewel tone one and the rainbow one, and she had other eyeshadows she was sampling and loved that didn’t quite fit in those two so they made a 3rd palette

I think she made them shimmer heavy on purpose to make them as workable for all skin types as possible by not having a highlight and transition matte shades. I have a lot of mattes that already work for my skin tone and that i like so i love that they dont have a lot of extra matte shades that might not work on a lot of people or be peoples preferred tones.
Sameee, I appreciate that she didn't do a red/gold/neutral palette coz those are the colours that get used the least for me. Just waiting for that restock!
RE brunet, brunette: it’s not “now” gendered, it’s always been gendered because it comes from French. In French red hair is “le cheveux roux”. Gendered as the language classically is, male and female would be “roux/rousse”. Our language isn’t gendered in the same way so we don’t understand it. I’m not debating whether gendered languages (Spanish and Italian are also) should remain gendered, but people are free to do so in the comments if they so wish.
One of the interesting things is that this is an example of the feminine becoming the dominant usage term, when often the masculine is the default. Language evolves and this is one space where I think the overall rejection of the traditionally gendered terms is for the best.

Not exactly. Brunet was the original spelling in English until we imported the French version due to the view that french was a more classy and elegant language in the Georgian to Edwardian period. Fiance and fiancee is the same situation. We imported one version under the normans, then re-gendered it later.
Extremely many languages in the world are gendered, with two (male, female) or three genders (female, male, neuter) being the most common. How the words are gendered vary a lot, even within the same language group (Germanic languages, for example). Using the wrong gender for a word is very common when people learn a new language.
The Brunet (reverence to Whiskey) palette has a good colourstory even for me as a Brunette 😁 the shadows are pigmented and easy to use. The colours make my grey/blue eyes pop more blue as normal, the shadows Bourbon and Stout help.
Here in Germany our language is gendered and we did use in our common day the maskulin term. Now we need to learn to use the maskulin and the feminin term and it is a long way before this will become a normality. We need to use both the feminine and the maskulin at the same time. If it is possible you find a neutral word like person (not female or male) or you start to talk and write in an unusual way.
The word for worker is in English a neutral, but in German we have the feminine "Arbeiterin" and the maskulin "Arbeiter". Now you write and say "Arbeiter*in" - writing is not the problem but speaking it. You say "Arbeiter", inhale shortly and say "in" for both genders. A third gender does not exist in our language like in English "They/Them". This is in German a female/group and not gender neutral.
We do use "Brunette" and "Brunet" to and I think to be gender neutral it has to be "brown hair person".
This is a political discussion here in Germany for years now, but this year it got heated.
I think the whole branch of romance languages have gendered words.
I used to buy a lot of Colourpop products and have not fallen out of love, but the products I love are either perpetually out of stock or discontinued. The reason I want to support them is because they are proof that products can be affordable and made in the country the brand is from.

Hi ladies. I received my Sydney Grace order today. Luckily the pan's are magnetic. I immediately rearranged them into a zpalette. The shade's are very close. The formula is fantastic. I have over 40 of her singles so at least I can do some comparisons. Thank you both for all the fun videos 😊

I honestly think they should've stopped releasing product during the pandemic and instead used the time to fully rebrand and rethink their whole aesthetic, target audience, appearance, etc. I'm studying all this right now (for fashion) and it's such an interesting topic; if I was allowed to do my final assignment on a cosmetics brand I would have chosen them, they have such a huge opportunity to create something new and amazing and become a leader in cosmetics again but they've gone waaaay off the path.
I actually really like the Bratz collection. The individual palettes are shaped like the boxes that Bratz dolls were packaged in so it makes sense. The color stories work for each character, and I really think the massive one has a lot of shades that I associated with Bratz when I grew up with them. Is it tacky? Yes. Is it nostalgic? Yes. Is it great quality? I don’t know 🤷♀️

Temptalia palettes should’ve been 3 palettes with the alternative light/dark shades as singles. I noticed the more she sneak peaked swatches the more everything started to look the same to me. I thought she would’ve eliminated a lot of the shades.
I think that's the point though, giving different options to people who might want to wear jewel tones so that there's something for everyone instead of one singular palette that may not fit everyone's colouring. Not only does she have light/dark variations but each palette leans toward different undertones as well with one being more cool toned, another more warm, and the last being fairly neutral. Yes, the colours are essentially the same but all the tones are different; I can easily see that one palette (the middle one that's more green/navy) would suit me the best and the other two have tones that would look off on me.

In Temptalia & SG's defence, they made the whole launch very flexible. This is not limited edition, so you can wait a whole year and just buy one if you felt like it, and they're not trying to encourage panic buying. They make everything in-house themselves so they can easily control their supply chain. 🏡 Unfortunately currency conversion and import fees/tax (based on your country) is a thing, so of course that sucks, and it's not applicable for everyone. But I feel it's also important to factor in that if you are someone who happens to reside in the U.S, then the 3 palettes after a discount code is applied, brings the price down to $85 for 3 custom magnetic palettes filled with product. That's basically *~$2.36ea for good quality Sydney Grace shadows,* which is even cheaper than Black Friday sales. So for someone like me that represents good value. 🏳️🌈

It’s a heatwave in Greece and even though I am waiting for my island vacation in a month, I am more of a winter person and I remember winter seeing you in warm clothes.
I got all three of the light version of the Sydney Grace palettes. I love cool tones, hardly ever wear brown, purple and green are some of my favorite colors, and I didn’t have anything from the brand before. The collection was pretty perfect for me. But I totally get how people who only wear neutrals or prefer warm tones would not be a fan.

Hair colors in French are gendered and most of their color words are in general. The only exceptions are red/rouge (but not as in hair), orange/orange, yellow/jaune, brown/marron (again, not usually used to describe hair) pink/rose.
What is REALLY AWESOME though is that the terms have HAVE heavily crossed into English are mostly dominated by the feminine. That’s actually not common.

I personally *love* the Temptalia collab, but jewel tones are just my thing. I get that it's an overwhelming mess to someone who's not as crazy about jewel tones. I always wear dark, dramatic, but colourful make up so those palettes are totally up my alley.
The funny thing is, while you were talking about the Sydney Grace x Temptalia collab I was swatching Quintessence and On The Horizon and they are much different in person than online. They really look the same online but in my hand and swatching them for myself, the two palettes are pretty different. I might get the last one!

Those Colourpop Cheek Dews are horrible. I got Beyond and there was barely any pigment on my cheeks and it was super patchy. It was like just a clear gel on my face.

I honestly cannot understand the Temptalia palettes. I took a long look at them, and I thought they were all the same palette with two different shades in each one and otherwise the same colours just rearranged. You can look at the set of three, and match the apparent dupes between the palettes. As you say, it looks like a case of being unable to edit down, and unless you're a makeup artist, that's just confusing for the user.
The crisis on the melt palette is my fav part of the video.

i actually LOVE the fact that the vivienne made her kind of dream palette. i feel like that’s the best kind of collab for an artist with a brand bc it’s sincerely what she enjoys. she’s not known for makeup tutorials or advice, so i don’t mind that it’s tailored to her complexion. it’s meant to be hER perfect colour scheme. it’s kind of like a single palette to encapsulate her entire makeup wardrobe!! worst comes to worst, the face powders can be used as eyeshadow for blending, etc., or can just be ignored
I like the bottom three rows of the Glamlite x Mikayla collab, but the top two are utterly useless to me and I also don't really like Mikayla in general, so that was an easy pass. (She's probably a nice human but good grief, the editing and filtering is just way too much.)

Re: the Brunet stuff. Although, yeah, it does technically exist, basically no one ever uses the masculine spelling of brunette. You just never see it. You see the masculine spelling of blonde (which is blond) marginally more often, but still rarely. (This is probably partly because men are less likely to be talked about in that way than women are.) They words are gendered because they come from French, which (being a Romance language) is a heavily gendered language (as are Italian and Spanish, and probably Portuguese but I can't say that with certainty as I'm less familiar with it).
Either way, I have no idea why Melt decided to use that spelling. If they WERE trying to be edgy by seemingly aiming at makeup-wearing men, it requires way too much thought for it to actually be effective.

Just two cents from someone who speaks other languages here. There isn’t such a thing as “lightly” or “heavily” gendered. Languages are gendered or not ;)
And to expand on the Latin (aka Romance) languages, they are: Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French and Romanian. You could also include others spoken in smaller regions such as Catalán (spoken in Catalonia - NE Spain), Sicilian, etc. As such, these languages have that grammatical quality embedded in nouns: Gender (3 of them) and number.
Fun fact: Latinos are any persons who come from any of these regions whose official language is a Latin language. A Portuguese person is a Latino, so is a French person, etc. I am curious why it got appropriated by or assigned to Latin America exclusively 🤷♀️ Anywho, thank you for coming to my TED talk 😂 Hope this helped :)
@@simplyrowen When I referred to them as "heavily gendered" I meant that it's more than just things that refer to people, like job titles (dottore/dottoressa, etc). I was referring to the way thatin some language, every inanimate object has a gender, and that even the adjectives are gendered according to the nouns they modify. Not all languages are gendered to the same degree. English, for example, does ostensibly gender some things (although this is less and less the case, because modern progressive thinking, etc). It wasn't that long ago that we had "stewards" and "stewardesses" instead of just "flight attendants," after all. And only a handful of years ago, I had to talk someone out of using the term "editrix" (not because she wanted to, but because she was a non-native English speaker and her male boss had convinced her it was absolutely the correct term for a female editor). English is an easier language to de-gender than the Romance languages (I know which languages belong to this group. My disclaimer was about not being certain to what extent Portuguese, specifically, is gendered. And Romanian is a bit of an outlier, although it is arguably the closest to Latin of all the Romance languages).
P.S. Italian only has two genders. There's no neuter form.

@@simplyrowen My point is that there blatantly are different degrees to which a language can be gendered, so denying language that seeks to distinguish between those degrees seems nonsensical to me. Some languages only apply genders when referring to animals (including us) in contexts where gender is relevant (or in pronouns used to refer to those animals). Some might have gendered job titles, but might not gender inanimate objects. Some gender their adjectives based on the gender of whatever they're modifying, while others don't. Simply dividing them into gendered/not gendered is an oversimplification that tells us little about the language.
I didn't even notice the Melt thing at first because in Canada we have English and French on our packaging so my brain just thought it was French. Then I remembered Melt is American? Dumb lol

I actually like Vivienne's Sceptre palette. It has everything you could possibly need for a decent price, I think she nailed it. 🌈
The gendered “brunet/brunette” adjetive is just french, in Spanish and Italian we also have gendered adjetives (not just the ones about hair colours). For example, in spanish it would be “moreno/morena”, every adjetive in latin-derived languages has a masculine and a feminine
Glamlite's products perform so well, and the story of the founder is so inspiring.
I don't mind the dose of colors daisy and Donald palette. It's definitely more daisy's color story with the pink and purple and more visually appealing then the Mickey mouse palette or the mini mouse palette.
I like the temptalia palettes but definitely too repetitive. I might pick up the one with the leaf green shade.

I think the photos that were used in this episode were swatches from Temptalia herself, before the proper swatch photos and the pr was released to have swatches on other skin tones.
I am so impressed with the updated Lunar Beauty palette, I had no interest in the brand or that palette until this one! This would be a great travel palette, so much choice, and I love that they removed the brush

Yep, blond is a fair haired male and a blonde is a fair haired female. I think it comes from either the French or Italian roots of the words where masculine and feminine variations of the same word are quite common

I got the Sceptre palette and did a review on my channel... I didn't love it, and I experienced a certain amount of bullying from the Vivienne and their husband... It was very disappointing.

I'm so confused with the Light and Deeptone in the Sidney Grace Co Collab. I thought that they were already trying to have palletes and matching to light medium and deep skin tones by making 3 of them that look the same but deeper.

My theory with the temptalia collab is that there were only supposed to be two palettes originally, the jewel tone one and the rainbow one, and she had other eyeshadows she was sampling and loved that didn’t quite fit in those two so they made a 3rd palette
