      I have to question the health risks of too much cholesterol in fatty foods. My mom indulged in her favorite high fat foods and ended up with cholesterol over 200 and triple bypass surgery…

      Yeah I'm doing low carb but also cutting down on my fats to lose body fat. So many lose the weight from keto but still have a high body fat.

      when people say eat more fat its not about losing weight though, it's not for everyone but it's healthy if you consume the right fat and helps you to go on for a long term without being hungry and gives you more energy, clearly all she thinks about is losing weight...

    Such an inspiring story!
    I was around 320 and lost some weight by a calorie deficit and then I started Keto at 278 and am down to 168. It is truly a lifesaver for me!

    I thank God for keto. I've always been overweight always. I started keto in August of 2019, and as of today I've lost 102lbs. I need to lose 25 more and I'm so gonna get there!!!

      Amazing job! Congrats! I have been struggling to shed 100 pounds for years...I seemed to have over complicated keto:(. Did you stay at 20 grams carbs?

      @@LadiesofPurposeTV yes, I stay under 20 net carbs. Often I try to stay at 10 or less net carbs a day, and I intermittent fast everyday. Plus I weigh everything that I eat. I've been doing strict keto for almost two years.

      @@msnunezgraham I've had cheat meals here and there but very sporadic. So it's mostly strict keto, with a couple of hiccups here and there. I'm now at 110 lbs lost, where I'm getting closer to my goal it's getting harder to lose the last 15 lb but I'll get there good things take time :-)

    Started keto in 2018 when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Cancer feeds on sugar so we cut the carbs. Whatever I cook for her, I eat as well. She is down to 150lbs from 200. I'm down to 160 from 189. We weren't even trying to lose weight. But, that is what happens when cutting carbs. Love your recipes.

    My daughter began her weight loss journey about a year ago and has lost 100 lbs. She still wants to lose another 80 lbs. Her determination is so inspiring and I am so happy she is doing this for her health.

      @@donnarussell9743 I've stuck to the diet for over a week now. "Keto flu" hit this past Thursday. I'm over the hump that has held me back all year long. As of today, I've lost 10 pounds. I haven't started an exercise plan or reduced any calories yet, but will in another week or so.

      @@rinnakhut9014 ya, a bit... but I'm taking a good multi vitamin and eating well so hopefully it'll slow down! But if it comes down to losing more hair or being a diabetic who is overweight, I'll choose health, and wear my hair differently!!!😁 I've lost 40lbs so far and brought all my bloodwork to within normal levels! With the exception of LDL cholesterol, which I'm not concerned about👍

    I lost 30+ pounds on keto and kept it off for 3 years. Before keto, I lost the same 5 pounds hundreds of times. I feel so much better. I'm still working on that last 10 pounds and will get there. I love your recipes!

    My highest weight was 330, maybe 335 lbs. Recent highest 313. Started dabbling in Keto around a month ago, have lost 13 lbs. I’m so happy & encouraged to see someone who was as large as me who is now so thin, healthy & beautiful.
    My issue so far has not been keeping my carbs down but instead it’s about getting enough fat every day. But I decided to make small changes instead of trying to adhere to a lifestyle that’s not “me” yet. Thanks!

    I LOST 100LBS TWICE TOO!!! OMG I finally feel like I found someone I can relate to 🥰 You inspire me to make my own Chanel and tell my story too ❤️ I’m a lil teary eyed because this video reminded me of the emotional journey weight loss is (TWICE!) and even tho I weigh in at 158lbs today, I’ll never forget that 300lb girl holding a baby and looking in the mirror wondering if I’ll ever find myself again.     Hi! I just started keto a week ago and my eyes are open to how awful I was eating. I'm feeling great benefits so far. I'm 26, 5'4, and 115 lbs, so I'm not necessary looking to lose weight but to be healthy. I love the intermittent fasting part, I've been loving meats, fish, vegetables. I thank God for bringing me to the knowledge of this healthy lifestyle.

    I most definitely know how it was. That was me. My daughter said mom don't talk about keto, but as you and I know it's the best life ever.. I was over 450 pounds two years ago and my family was so worried about me. When my friend got off of insulin because of keto I was sold. I just wanted to help others lose weight and get healthy as I was. You see people that was as big as you and I were you say God I want them to know there is a better way. Because you and I know how miserable it can be to be overweight. I have lost over 140 pounds and I'm still heavy but I'm not where I was. Thank you for doing what you do. I have enjoyed your videos.       I’m coming from that giant number. It was enough to scare me and get desperate about 2 and a half’ months ago. Dramatic difference already. When you cut that oven on, it’s feels good to let it melt all the fat off of you.

      @@denisev2020 eliminating all grains. No breads. Very little fruit. Meat veggies cheese all seafoods. To achieve ketosis and stay there is limit to 20 grams of carb a day. Just start reading labels. But Google has lot of guides. So many commercial but you can glean information without additional expense.

      @@denisev2020 just a cup of blueberries or raspberries. The beauty of keto is to kill the overwhelming sugar cravings. And to let the body feed off stored fat. I didn’t lose as much weight as I thought I had for feeling as good as I did. I went over board on nuts.

      Wow - that's amazing... I am addicted to sugar, carbs and everything bad for me... How do you survive (lol) those cravings? I feel like such a failure as I had lost alot of weight (not keto), then in 2020, I lost my mom who was (is) everything to me and since then, I find solace in eating... The cravings are so strong - does it get back with time?

      @@robinkershen1054 Robin, I recommend never to take out all your sugar when you start Keto! take it out very slowly. You can do a dirty version of keto works just as well and that's what I do now. How I maintain my weight? I eat dirty keto during the week and on the weekend I splurge big time.

    God Bless you Mayra. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story. I came to Keto very differently, I may not be the whole way there, but my primary objective seems to be holding. I am 67 yrs, an 8 year Type 2 Diabetic with stage 3-4 kidney disease. My Dr took me off my diabetes meds. Over those 8 years, I watch my carb intake and measured my glucose levels and simply ate fewer and fewer carbs. It’s been 6 months w/o medication and my A1c is normal eating between 30-40 carbs a day. Your recipes help a great deal. There are many Keto recipes on RUclips, and I am grateful to all of them, I really am. But I find your recipes sooo clean and basic. So many use odd ingredients to simply make the carbs work. You recipes are wholesome. I thank you deeply. Our son accepted a new job and moved about 40 min’s away. I never taught him how to cook. I feel that path to insulin resistance is in his future. I’ve been sharing your recipes with him. In his small apartment, there isn’t room for a lot of equipment and a lot of unusual ingredients. Your ingredients are easy to pick up at a grocery store, your style is simple and easy to follow, and flavorful spices don’t take much space. You are an inspiration, and I thank you for the wonderful work that you do, and especially for helping me help my son. God Bless and Keep You.

    Been overweight my whole life. Started keto March 2021 at 233lbs. I wanted to manage my PCOS. Now May 2022, I’m 154lbs. Just took a little break to have some complex carbs (chickpeas, kidney beans, berries). Going back low carb for the summer and have 20 more lbs to loose! I love low carb because I’m basically eating whatever I want. My periods became more regular on this diet. Plus, I have food allergies to rice, potatoes, and soy (it’s in EVERYTHING including some bread). I love my lifestyle on low carb. I don’t care if anyone says it’s “a fad diet”.

Unfortunely I had a terrible accident in Jan 2020 that broke my hip, knee & tailbone along with permanent nerve damage from my waist down.     Thanks for sharing your story and you look amazing!! A few weeks ago I started intermittent fasting for the purpose of weight loss. For my eating window I thought about doing keto but did not know that much about it. After doing some research and watching different RUclips videos to learn more about it I stumbled on to your channel and loved your keto recipe ideas and tips along with your enthusiasm! I was sold and decided to give it a try and use keto during my IF eating window. It has not been that hard for me to adjust to the low carb way of life and most importantly, the weight is coming off and I love it!! ❤️

    I've really been struggling with my weight during this past year...emotional eating. I had lost 69 lbs on Keto, then fell off the wagon. Your videos, pictures and recipes are wonderful. You've encouraged me to really, seriously get back on Keto. I've bought the Choczero syrups, use carb manager and the mojo. No more guessing. Now I've lost 6 lbs this week.     Thank you for your total honesty, I just found your channel yesterday. I am hooked. I have been binge watching since last night. I am one of those people that tracks everything I eat. I am 73 and need to lose 75 lbs. I have been on Keto for 1 month and have lost 8 lbs. I keep a list of all my carbs, fat, protein, and calories everyday. It helps me keep on track plus I have a visual chart of what I am eating. I have printed some of your recipes to make.

    I'm Keto curious and one point away from pre-diabetes. I was "almost pre- diabetes and hyperthyroid" in 2017 and all but gave up gluten and my numbers went back to normal. Recently my PA told me I'm one point from pre-diabetes. I really love her videos and she makes keto look doable and fun with the easy recipes. So I'm trying my best to commit to the lifestyle.

    So glad I found your channel… I am starting the Keto diet about three weeks ago, and I’ve gone from 100kg (220lbs) to 94kg (207lbs)… I’ve done Keto diet before in 2017, I was at 79kg (174lbs), but then it gets harder to maintain the diet because of my family influences… They keep saying, “Just eat this, just eat that”, I’ve explained to them what I can eat, and what I can’t… And they’re like “But Potato and Corn is healthy, just eat it”, and they sometimes straight not believing Keto diet actually works, because they have never seen it before.. They’re weirded out on my meal having so much oil and fat… And that kinda bums me out on maintaining it, so I just stopped after only 2 months.. I kept eating carbs for the past years and gaining weight much more than I was before Keto.. Cut to a month ago, which is my birthday, I got a notification on Facebook showing my picture 5 years ago.. And that picture hits me hard, I was like… “Oh wow.. That’s me..? How did I become this fat slobbering person..? This is not me.. That’s me.. I’m almost 30, I can’t be looking like this.. I need to be like that again..” Then I started slowly eating less and less carbs, and eventually into Keto diet again.. It’s easier to do the diet now as I have a place of my own, and nobody’s judging me… And then I tried searching for recipes on YT, that’s how I found your channel.. And through your recipes and tips, I didn’t feel like I am dieting, I feel like I’m just eating what I always ate.. So that just motivates me to keep dieting… Thanks..

    I have been following the Healthy Keto + IF (Intermittent Fasting) for about 8 months and lost over 50 pounds. This is following Dr. Berg on RUclips. It was so easy. It is low carb, high fat and moderate protein. A key point is eating 7 cups of mostly green veggies every day (yes slathered in butter and healthy salt!). There is no calorie counting, and it is not high protein. One of the key points is there is no snacking. Any time you snack - no matter what the food is, it spikes your insulin which is bad. The carbs we eat are almost all in our vegetables. So a few days after I stopped eating all the carbs (bread, pasta, potato, rice) the hunger and cravings went away. In the beginning each day I was having an 18 hour fast (2 meals a day eating 3-4 eggs every day with meat protein the size of my fist) and then followed the basic rule - if you are not hungry do no eat. After a few months of eating just lunch and dinner, I was no longer hungry at lunch time, so I waited until dinner to eat. Since then I have been having one meal a day (OMAD), and have no cravings or hunger. So today I bake my own low carb breads, biscuits, waffles, etc, with almond and coconut flours. I had no idea that not eating carbs would remove the cravings and the hunger which, coupled with the fact you don’t need to count anything, is why it is so easy. I do put coconut oil in my coffee, drink ACV water, and lemon water. This has certainly proven I was eating way too much food every day. When you don’t eat carbs (sugar), your body has to burn the fat, which is why you lose the weight so quickly. Then you cannot eat as much as you used to - which is a good thing. It is reducing the carbs (not the fat) that causes you to burn your own stored fat. I wish I had discovered this lifestyle years ago … but my BMI is now normal which is important if I were ever to need to fight off covid. When I started I was in the obese range, and was on the treadmill for an hour every day without losing any weight. When I started Healthy Keto + IF I stopped exercising completely. After I lost my first 25 pounds I had proven the lifestyle change was working, and I started exercising again. Thank you Dr. Berg for the free information!
