Ruppees, get away, Fight a good boss with good pay and you're OK. Ruppees, It's a gas, Collect those things with both hands and make a stash, New horse, octorock, four star fairy water think I'll buy her a new army.
1. I am the person who made this. 2. Roger Waters and David Gilmour don't own the rights. Those belong to Hampshire House Publishing and EMI. 3. I certainly have paid for the right to use it. Look up mechanical royalties if you need to learn how this works.
This is epic. When i play with myself at night, it will be to this song. When I do something good in the world, it will because of this. I am kinda at half mast, just listening to it now. Well done sir. Well done indeed.
Fantastic! I'm the biggest fan of Pink Floyd ever and I really enjoy this, especially the guitar solo! It's funny and pay homage to the masters themselves. Good work. Keep Rock Alive.
No one should be hating on this 8 bit stuff, and certainly not on the original album. It takes a lot of time, creativity, and good sense of music to recreate it in this way. I respect the guy for recreating all the songs, its awesome. Its like someone making a house out of popsicle sticks, sure it sucks compared to a real house, but you have to admit its pretty cool haha. And to the people saying that lady gaga is more significant to the world than pink floyd, you are way out of your element.
Pokemon: Currency Green Edition Press start Developed by PINK FLOYD Inc. Est. 1973 Ft. Dick Parry as the Saxophonist and Clare Torry as backing vocals.
So I'l describe why I DO like it.... I love Dark side of the Moon, I'v listened to it many times its almost a part of my musical vocabulary, I hear something different every time, I appreciate the opportunity to hear someone elses interpretation of it. The choice of sounds is inventive, as is the use of vibrato/bending etc. I can tell this guy loves this album very much, and i think the floyd boys would be proud of him.
@mistasopz Actually, each waveform can be played at 1 of 65536 different frequencies, because NES sound chip registers used to control sound frequency is actually 16 bit. (the same for ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, MSX-compatibles and others).
O.O I LOVE IT!!! EXCELLENT WORK!!! I like PINK FLOYD because it reminds me when my father tried to teach me about them. I remember he showed me THE WALL (cool video). Kisus *chu*
"Yeah, Pikachu was in the right!" "Yes, absolutely in the right!" "Pikachu certainly was in the right!" "Yeah, Pikachu was definitely in the right! Those Team Rocket geezers were cruisin' for a bruisin'!"
Luckily in 1973 I was in the music business and got to go to the launch of Dark Side at The Planetarium/ And now - I have the Original Version, the reggae version, the trance version and The 8 Bit. Awesome!! (more versions please - maybe a salsa one?)
@liszt85: I truly love the Wall, but the Dark Side has always mostly left me somewhat cold for some reason - and yet I know Money very well, having heard it a lot. For some reason, this version evokes the familiarity of Money while having a lot more energy - plus I somehow really like those little coin sounds in it. I had never even considered putting the original Money on my playlist - and yet this version is now on it. That's about the best explanation I can manage.
I'm just came for every record this album has sold. My semen will stay in the charts for as long as this album remains number one highest selling. This is pure amazing.
sent this to my dad , he loved it thought it was really cool, one of his favorite albums , man you should do "one of these days" from the album meddle :)
@yukslunger The is famitracker source on my website. You can get it and make the change yourself if you like. I echo the lead for the whole song though, how come you don't like it at 4:00?
@yukslunger Ah okay, comparing it to the original I see what you mean. I can't remember if I tried that second dry when I was working on it and didn't like it, or maybe I just forgot? It's been a few years since I worked on that track.
@Jnien37 well, after I put a Lady Gaga poster in my wall, brought straight from NYC, my Roger Waters poster from the DSCTM tour from 2007 fell off the next morning, haha, i love Gaga and her music but you can't compre this two, they're both really difernteshhit. no joke. Grretings from Perú, ERre!
@WaffleEgo stop trying to troll. I do agree that 8-bit isn't an accurate description because many sound processing chips of many different sizes produce these kinds of sounds. Tthe Atari ST for example - a 16-bit machine - produces these sounds via the YM2149 chip, and Bit.Trip Beat on WiiWare does a good job at this too. The thing is is that many people have latched onto the term 8-bit because it does go back to the NES when this was (for most people) heard for the first time.
cool sounds like a true 8-bit synth, like you could put this on an NES cartridge. goes to show with good composing even good music sounds awesome in a low bit sample
The Mario coins are such an outstanding touch!
This is perfect!
Ruppees, get away,

I wish they had this when I was a kid. Oh the NES days.
The coin-sounds in the intro made my day!
haha this is badass, too bad we don't have nintendos anymore... I would jam out on this shit all day
That solo was pretty magnificent. Good job!
This is truly fantastic! I thought I'd get bored of it but not in the slightest, am happily listening all the way through!!
Such a good parody, right to the last fuzzy note. Thanks, Otto, for linking me this.

You NAILED the sax and guitar solos!
oh. my. god. this is the best nes-style mock up i've ever heard.
Fantastic! I'm the biggest fan of Pink Floyd ever and I really enjoy this, especially the guitar solo! It's funny and pay homage to the masters themselves. Good work. Keep Rock Alive.

Excellent guitar-type solo thing in the middle there, dude!
How long did it take to do the whole album?
This is sooooo heavy! All we really need now is an 8-bit interpretation of The Wizard of Oz.
The solo is a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!
This is so badass. I love this. Great job!

i could see this in a mega man game, especially during the guitar and sax solos. Good job!
AWESOME!!! FU*KING AWESOME!! tks Brad
so many people listen to these songs expecting lyrics, and when they get none, they think it is horrible, but it just makes it all the much better.
this was absolutely amazing ...loved it
good lord, this is incredible!
This is so awesome. Took me back to hours spent in front of classic 80's graphics
sorry mario, the money is in another castle.
wow -- impressive!

Well, the first "Pokémon" games for Game Boy / Game Boy Colour also had 8-bit sounds. ;)
Luckily in 1973 I was in the music business and got to go to the launch of Dark Side at The Planetarium/ And now - I have the Original Version, the reggae version, the trance version and The 8 Bit. Awesome!! (more versions please - maybe a salsa one?)
That's awesome, perfect.
Maravilloso!!!!!!!!!!!
Brad, I salute you. This is one small step for geek, one giant leap for geekkind
That beginning is killer! Pink Floyd meets Mario Bros.
Nice work!
You deserve a medal.
@sirMAXX77 The program he used to write this song actually makes music that is playable on an NES. He probably rendered it with an emulator.
Really great.
Amazing!

sounds quite nice
Very Good !
I have FL Studio and was wondering what sound pack or vst is used for this? This is pretty amazing
Awesome!
Inspired! Takes me back to the days of zx spectrum!
Awesome!!, I'm sure Pink Floyd approves it.
CHE FIGATA!!!!!!
@PaulHassing You might check out a band called Anamanaguchi. Not exclusively 8-bit (real rhythm section), but they put out some great stuff.
very well done, i wonder how long this took
Buenisimo!!!
awesome!
awesome dude, you definitely gotta make "Hey You"
@Jnien37 well, after I put a Lady Gaga poster in my wall, brought straight from NYC, my Roger Waters poster from the DSCTM tour from 2007 fell off the next morning, haha, i love Gaga and her music but you can't compre this two, they're both really difernteshhit. no joke. Grretings from Perú,
