I would pay good money to see Phlinger running around with Pom poms cheering for Jay while she running a harvester over a spinach field. I may require oxygen to get at least some air in through all the riotous laughter!!😂
hey been loving the series, about the harvesting missions, you always have 10% of the harves left to do what you want with, either sell for money or use it in productions, keep up the good work the small factories work at 1/10 of the big ones speed, but the production cost is about 75% of the big one, so using the small ones it useful at the start to get the production going but getting 10 small ones to produce the same ammount as the big one would be much more expensive also when checking the product price vs crops price you have to take into account what it takes to make the product, not all goods earn money when made into goods, one example is the rice bags(rice rolls, look like cakes or cookies on the picture) easy way to calculate the spinach is 100-45 is almost every 2 spinach you get 1 bag, so if the price is more than double youre good
Hi Mikihiir :) Glad you're enjoying the series! Yeah we tried to do a bit of the math last night, as you can see it didn't go particularly well 😂 but yeah we are aware that the bigger production is more efficient it's just we keep finding places to put our money, but the goal is to save up for one :)
Don't feel bad for skimming some off the top. Even if you deliver all of it where they ask, once you hit 100% complete on the contract, it just pays you directly for the harvest. It's just smart to process your portion of the harvest, instead of sell it.
hey guys, i love your energy so much, very relaxing to watch! have you been playing around with the gps at all yet or just the helper? i think both r really useful! looking forward to the next video 👍
Hey DutyFree :) I'm very glad you're getting enjoyment from watching our series :) Uhm not so much yet although it is something I can look into, I know Phlinger uses the lane assist more than I do but I haven't felt the need as much yet. When I have used them they are pretty helpful, just a little pet peeve when the lanes don't align.
Hi - having a bad day with trapped nerve making my hip sore, so have to lay down to watch, which means I fall asleep, so I watched twice but still may have missed bits! Most of the maths seems pretty good to me, just Phlingers percentages are out, I think he might have been working out from the wrong baseline. As someone else said 100:45 is roughly 2:1 so 2 x $400 loads ($800) before processing makes $1400 after processing. The difference is £600, but it should be compared against the $800 not the $1400, so you get nearly 75% extra from bagging. You were a bit more accurate, 2200 litres makes 1000 litres bagged, so 2.2:1 or $880 worth of spinach makes $1400 once bagged, difference is $520 and thats harder to do in my head but 5/8 is 0.625 in decimal so about 62% extra except it is nearer 5/9 so that is still slightly over. Phlingers way of looking at is that the uplift is around 1/3 of the final amount, it is (slightly underestimated, exactly 1/3 would be 50% extra), but that's not the normal way to think about it. Either way, I've seen a lot of more experienced FS content creators come to much less accurate estimates doing the maths in the tractor cab, you guys are doing fine... 😀
Hi Jim, sorry to hear that you're having health difficulties. Haha it's okay, I do that with things too even when I'm not ill. Yep we have a bit of work to do with our mathing but we're working towards getting a canning production eventually
After the squillionth time of driving up and down the fields, I now mostly use AI workers to do the fieldwork. While they are busy I get on with stuff around the farm. I'm currently removing a lot of trees to make space for more buildings. I'm slowly heading towards the big caning factory and enough greenhouses to keep it full.
Yep it does get quite tedious at times, especially when the harvester is slow with a low AOE, I can understand getting AI to do it but we just have a baby farm atm and not a lot to do on our own farm otherwise, and with 2 of us we can't really justify it lol, maybe once we got bigger
You'll have to wait and see if the Modders make a 'cheat' harvester with a wider header. Until then you're stuck with the original sized machine. Or until the Courseplay Mod comes out and you can set up multiple harvesters to harvest the crops on large fields, as in reall life.
With Jay’s accent I love to hear her say Cinnamon Swirl Squirrel!
Hope you and Phlinger are off to a great morning Jay!
Haha thanks Scott, we Scots love to roll our R's 😁 We have had a great morning, thanks for asking! I hope yours went well too!

Haha it would certainly be a spectacle 😁

Thank you Pegasus! 😁
Hi Jay Coffees here.:)
Hi Donna! Thank you for the coffee! :)

That is also fair! Thanks Navanafti :)

@CinnamonSwirlSquirrel totally understandable. Just setting AI to work and sitting back watching would not make very entertaining content. Lol.
@@k_cat8932 Yeah that's something we have to try and balance
And just to satisfy Phlingers itch... 1746 you missed a bunch 🤣
Haha I just hadn't got to that part yet :😛

you're not going to finish the contract on Field 49 then?
No we cancelled it and got bit for it but ye live and ye learn :)
