Hi Jay & Phlinger. I usually try not to backseat, but you said trying things in the comments. I started in FS22 and have been playing FS25 since it came out. To start, this is for Jay, as Phlinger is playing on console: it's easier (for me) to use things like front loaders, forklifts, etc with the keyboard bindings than to hold a mouse button and swing the mouse around, default is J, N, K & M. 26:17, there are weights that attach to the three point hitch, attach it to the back when using the front loader, attach it to the front when using that Amazone fertilizer spreader Phlinger got. I suggest planting barley next, it has a higher yield per acre than wheat, so it's better for chickens, and the flour production balances out. Silage is a great money maker, grass silage bales early game. After you save some money up and can afford the big equipment, maze in a bunker silo. You'll need silage if you want cows or water buffalo anyway, so may as well get it going. And finally, contracts are great for learning how to do things, FOR SCIENCE, but for income... too much effort for too little reward, may as well speed up time or sleep through until you need to do something on your own farm.
Hey there Mr Ozzmac! I will definitely try out those keybinds! Thank you! yeah it has to be easier than using temperamental mouse settings. Okay I'm glad you clarified that because other folk have mentioned about a 3 point hitch and but didn't explain it, and I've made the mistake of adding a weight and then rendering the vehicle useless for that end in the future for attachments, so I'll have to take a look at that and figure it out. Cheers Mate!
Happy Saturday Lady Jay! Hopefully you all aren’t having the drop in temperatures that we are having right now. It’s cold today. 🥶 Have a fantastic weekend!!
Happy Saturday Scott! Eh we have some drop in temperature, although Phlinger is feeling it more than I am lol it is getting more bitter though. You too!
There is a mod on modhub that you can download an install an you will be able to lease a production thats a part of the map instead of buying it. Its called production point leasing. It might not work on all productions but it will on most of them. Hope this helps. Have a nice day .
Good science, I think! Honestly, I am sometimes finding things work differently during different play sessions so I am taking the view that almost anything could change what I think I know! One thing I have had a couple of times, last time after stone picking contract where I used an AI worker, my tractor seems won't go full speed even after checking the cruise control and the taking it to the workshop for maintenance. but if I quit and come back it works properly again. Despite the complexities you have uncovered, it looks as though weeders and hoes work a bit better in FS25 than they did in FS22, where honestly I had given up trying to farm organically and just went for spraying herbicide which you can do at any stage except ready to harvest (useful if you buy a field with large weeds already). If you look at productions in the main (esc) menu, there are arrows at the top to move between owned productions and available (on the map already) productions where you can check the volumes and recipes - this is a major QOL update since FS22, the only thing missing now is being able to see the recipes from the build menu before placing a new production. I have some tips for fertilising but if you prefer to work it out for comedic value, don't scroll down! Hmm, there is evidence of squirelling in my tips... If you have crop destruction enabled, after a crop reaches a certain growth stage driving in it will destroy crop where you drive, unless you fit your tractor with narrow tyres. Tyres can be changed at the workshop as a customisation, it will charge you the first time, but then you can swap between types you have already bought for no further charge. It doesn't seem to matter (for me, SP FS25) that the fertiliser spreader itself doesn't have a narrow tyre option. If you lease equipment and fill with your own fertiliser or herbicide, when you return the equipment, you lose the remaining fill. Check your keybinds to work out what keys correspond to "dump here" (it uses 'dump' in the control menu and at the bottom of the screen and 'unload' in the F1 help top left just to confuse us). This will let you unload consumables into pallets or IBCs which will shoot out in a line normally to the right of the equipment (sometimes says you cannot perform action if there is a wall close on that side) that you can store until you need them again. Then return the equipment. There is another option to "dump on ground", I can't recall if it is the same keybinding or different, I think it is context sensitive and only applies when you have a tipping trailer, and for example want to make a pile of stones on some wasteland to transport to a placeable debris crusher when you can afford it.
Yep, I'm not sure about single player but for sure server life is a little screwy and I can fully believe that from one instance to the next that it does change. We know some of the stuff that you've put here through trial and error lol and some we didn't but we do like to experiment for comedic value and FOR SCIENCE! 😅 I do really appreciate you taking the time to type all this out though :) Thanks very much
I feel like the longer you go without using Steering Assist, the more you're going to be upset that you didn't know how to use it. Hold H, go to the steering assist tab, set your number of headlands and turn lines on, then press enter. Tap H to lock onto a lane, and it'll keep you on track while you're doing field work.
It’s a bug, 90% of the time hoeing equipment made me loads of fast money contracting, but some weeding and stone picking contracts on this map won’t work with any equipment Edit: I’ve had problems with stone picking in fields 2 & 7 not going up any percentage, and lost money for leasing the picker
Thanks for the info! I love "For Science!!" 😂
Haha thank you! 😂 and you're welcome for the info!

Hopefully you all aren’t having the drop in temperatures that we are having right now. It’s cold today. 🥶

Fun tip: '9' will cycle through minimap options. Great for checking the map without having to open your menu.
Ooh okay thanks, I'll have to give that a shot, I didn't know this :)
Wishing I had the money for fs25 I thought I had 22 but turns out I have 19 LoL
Yeah 25 is expensive! Maybe Santa will be good to you this year :) Hey, I've heard good things about both, not everyone needs to play all versions :)
Coffee and Jay & Phlinger... it's good morning.
Good Morning Joesoap! Coffee indeed!

I know how to turn it on, I just don't use it very often 😅 Thanks though

That's unfortunate, I know that some of the bugs don't make sense because they'll work fine sometimes and not others
lol
