I saw this concert as a child on PBS. I’m 34 years old now still thinking about it. That just shows how profound of an impact this had on me. What Nathan Carter did with this music was incredible. These talented singers changed my life
Ernie was blessed and knew it. He sound just like my mother. I hear them both when I hear him, so does everyone in our family. He played and sang for churches and had a group that gave praise and glory. His first album "A New Beginning" with the girzs, who loved him and he them, featured voices you would not believed. He was blessed and so many wonderful ways that only GOD can give. GOD lent him to me for a little while and gave me a gift to share with the world. I give Thanks and Praise to GOD. I Thank Everyone for listening to Ern and for everyone who know, that voice can only come from GOD.

I had thee opportunity to cross paths with Dr. Nathan Carter once as a student at Morgan State only once. There was something about him that just left a print in my heart. He was friendly, warm, focused, genuine and passionate. I was not the typically student being that I had served 4 years in the USMC. That experience had afforded me the opportunity to learn and understand the character traits of REAL MEN! Dr. Nathan Carter fit into that mold! Love you brotha!

I have to say, having lived for several decades, I have learned things that tell me that the owner of such a voice has lived through situations that have been very very hard for him and for people he loves. Yet here his wish is to help somebody, his declaration is that his life's work is to help somebody. Who sings this song is not a whiner but a brave, clear-seeing soul indeed!
