Being and fm player, i like my wacky tactics and always trying to make new stuff work, so i would like to suggest the challenge of making some weird asymetric tactic with less played roles, like a libero with only 2 cb's, a wide target man and a pressing foward on defend, stuff like that. Cheers.
interesting choice for both fbs. usually we see tactics with attacking fbs going down the flanks to overload. your take to hold back on def and support duty is very refreshing. cant wait to try it out. im still on fm 22 though, hope it works as well on the older AI.
You can create this but be more solid. My tactic is similar but I use a PF (att), left attacking position I use winger (att), left cm position I use a cm (att) on roam which means he comes back for the ball more, right midfielder I use a dm on segundo volonte (att), right wing I have them in the right midfielder position on winger (att), left back is wingback (d) with sit narrower, 2 cd's (d), left back is fb (s) but on hold position. Play on positive with width at widest, passing shorter, tempo slightly higher, time wasting sometimes and express themselves. No counter attacking to encourage them to keep the ball

So I have tried ur tactic it works I have drawn 5 games and won 1 my issue is I have about 18 shot at goal but only 3 on target about average what can I do to get more on target
looking at the pitch at min 3:45, i find it kinda of annoying you RW is so tucked in.look at how much space there is between him and the touchline. i find that even with the hug touchline trait they are still sitting quite narrow when the ball is in the other side.The whole point of them being wide is to open space in the other side... baffles me
I totally get what you mean. That exact frustration made me switch to a W(a) and W(s) but if I’m honest, there was no real difference when it came to stay wide and hugging the touchline. They still seemed narrow when the ball was on one side
Football manager is such a frustrating game because you spend your time battling against the confusion that is the entire tactical interface instead of battling the opposition team. You’re not actually playing against the opposition in fm, you’re playing against the entire tactical instruction setup.

As long as the central defenders, i ve used many times cd or bpd both stoppers, it works better
