By the end of the decade, it was about studio sessions, keyboards, samplers and drum machines, and taped loops. for such a tight little window, a lot of interesting music came out of that period. a lot of that stuff sounds just as fresh and innovative today. not saying there wasn't crap...just saying it was a very unique and creative period. Record labels took chances they won't even consider today and the radio stations actually had real Deejays

The second one is mostly even better and somewhere at the 3rd or 4th or 5th album most musicians fall into a creative hole. I'm not that hard into Radiohead but this is my experience with modern rock bands so far. (The Strokes or Oasis for a rough example) The first records of good bands represent what they really, intentionally want in music I think. Most breakdowns come after a certain time caused by lack of creativity or drugs in some cases. Personal-taste-thing, don't feel attacked :) cheers

As for their later albums - Everything after Amnesiac is basically more of the same {Amnesiac's ok but nowhere near as good as Kid A}.
