Velmi pěkné! To je mnohem rychlejší než sekáč. Pro většinu jednoduchých konstrukcí je přesnost dostatečná. Habe schon länger auf ein neues Video gehofft - danke!
Since we have seen you make mortises with a chisel in other videos, can you say which one is faster? It seem obvious that the chisel is likely to be more accurate and make a tighter joint. Especially since not many people are as accurate with an axe as you are. I hope you find the time to make some more videos, I am very curious about what you are doing all the time. I would love to see what the purpose is for the v-groove in the timber that had the tenon for this mortise.
For raff work is axe definitely faster, these are my first four mortises with this axe. First I did about 15 min last 5 min in softwood, are 9 cm deep. But you pay for it with accuracy. I'm fine with that. The axe is a copy of early medieval axe it's double bevel. It's really nice to find what is possible to do with a tool like this.

Well done Onsek! Very nice precision chopping :-)
The master is at it again!

Is the axe single bevel? If so, it may as well be another chisel axe.
The angle of it seems ideal for a short-handle.
The way onsek is using it at 1:27 makes me think it is double bevel. He has all the best axes.

onsek It’s inspiring work you do.
Even I’ve taken to polishing a couple of handaxes and giving things a whack.
Wondered also, "what the purpose is for the v-groove in the timber that had the tenon for this mortise" ??
Good way to practice precision with an axe
Will we get to see how this project ends?
Definitely. But you have to wait for it. :-)
