That axe head looks ridiculous, at first, but, I can see the advantage of the head reaching way down the log before your knuckles come anywhere close.

What is up with the side-curved ax handle? While it might make it easier to hew the log from the left side because the ax head is offset in a "dog leg," it makes it impossible to hew the log from the right side. A woodsman would need a pair of these axes, one bent right and the other bent to the left. It doesn't seem practical.

Sandals and an anz is probably not the best combination. I didn't see any blood stains, so I'm guessing you still have your toes. That right there is cringy, and brave at the same time.
