Is it necessary to seal the ends of the logs before building with them? I’ve watched a ton of log building videos and I don’t see anybody sealing their timber but I have read that it’s a requirement what’s the truth?
We do seal ends of the logs after falling trees down to avoid drying ends quickly. Using beeswax or lime. We do let the seal on beams till finish the construction and then we cut it off.
Sandals and an anz is probably not the best combination. I didn't see any blood stains, so I'm guessing you still have your toes. That right there is cringy, and brave at the same time.
Just beautiful work, I felt your joy when they went together so well.
beautiful joint!
Superb! Love it!
An adz and sandals; naturally
I just couldn’t watch this guy loose a few toes ?

Using an adze with sandals on. So much cringe
Not very smart wearing sandles when using a adz
