I just love your recipes - I try them and save them all!! I love that you were a 'teacher,' it is evident in your videos. They are clear, concise with absolutely no fluff! Merry Christmas to you all. Love this channel. ❤❤
My mom was before her time, as she would not allow us to have 2 white vegetables on our plate at mealtime (so no corn with potatoes or bread). She balanced the meals by color. But your daughter is so right...mashed potatoes and gravy practically call out for corn❤❤❣️❣️
Hi I was born in the USA, but now am in Australia, I came here when I was 11yrs old. Love your food but sometimes wonder how to cook for 1 person. I have cancer and love comfort food. Keep up the great videos
Debby, I'm so sorry you are fighting cancer. Most of our recipes can be cut in half or even more. Another option is to make a meal like these pork chops, and then freeze them to be eaten at a later time. We have a Food Saver, and we use it often to freeze leftovers to be used as a meal later. When they are well-preserved, most meals will freeze beautifully. It's nice to cook once and eat twice. I'm praying right now for you. Thank you so much for joining us at the table.
I have a similar recipe. We brown the chops...sprinkle those with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cut up one sweet onion ( Vidalia) into rings. We usually used 6 big thick chops. And 2 family sized can of Cream of Mushroom soup. In a bowl add the soups with half a can of milk and 1 TBSP of worchestishire sauce. Add into the crock pot some of the soup mixture...onion rings...and chops ...add the rest of the soup mixture. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours ( or until done depending on how thick the chops are)
I make these all the time..delicious! If you want to try a great variation, I brown the chops on both sides and I use 1 family size and 1 regular size mushroom soup, 2 pkts of Ranch, love the gravy!! Cook on low 6 hrs. I’m going to try it your way too!! Merry Christmas!
I love using Golden Mushroom soup with my pot roast I do in the crock pot. I was wondering how the Ranch seasoning would work with Golden Mushroom. This looks so yummy and easy! I do have some concerns about sodium count, what with the canned soup. But I’ll bet these are delish!!
This is similar to my MIL's recipe she made 40÷years ago. What she did was double the soup recipe and she would layer boneless thick cut pork chops and then a layer of baking potatoes cut in rings (circles) skin on and a layer of onions cut in circles. You put a little soup mixture between each layer and the bottom. Then you put a thicker layer of soup on top. She would add pepper to the potatoes and onions and then pepper and garlic powder to the chops. The soup has enough salt or you can add to your taste in the table. So you have a full meal and one dirty dish. I would assembly it in the crockpot the night before so the flavors would start to meld. Then drop it in the crock the next day after I got up, on high. When I left for work I turned it to low. We worked 10 hours plus travel time so it was perfect by the time we got home. A compete meal hot and delicious on a cold day. We had left overs for the next night. I haven't made it in years but I will now. You can also add a can of cream of celery for a more complex taste. The onions and potatoes are tender. I recommend using a large flat spatula to lift the layers out so they stay pretty.
I love your channel. This recipe is also GREAT if you add thin sliced potatoes and chopped onions with another can of soup and a little water and salt. That way your whole dinner is ready when you get home! Thanks for all your great cooking ideas!
Thank you so much for the nice comment. This is one of our earlier recipes, and we are excited to see that you have gone back and watched one from the beginning of our RUclips career.
My crock pot,and slow cooker says not to lock the locks while cooking. The locks are there for transporting the food when leaving your home. Watching your video I see it is safe to lock them while the meat is cooking. I just found your channel recently, and I really enjoy it.😊
I've always locked mine while cooking. I've had problems with this crockpot not cooking as quickly as my other crockpot- which is just an older version of this one without the locking lid. I feel like if I lock the lid, it heats better but that may just be in my head. I haven't encountered an issue with locking the lid though
Hey there Tom and Melissa, it's Robert from Ooey Gooey. Meet you both this morning. Loved the video very informative. Will have to watch more. I would have to be dipping my chops into the mashed potatoes and gravy. Peace Out Love
I made this recipe and I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the recipe. I also was not a fan of Hidden Valley but I have enjoyed making your recipes using it. I discovered your channel by accident but I’m hooked. Keep the recipes coming so that I can have something different to eat. Again, thank you!!!😊
My MIL made a version 40+ years ago. No ranch just Cream of Mushroom and a can of Cream of celery. She took baking potatoes washed but not peeled and cut them in a little less than 1/2 inch rings. She took onions and cut them in a little less than 1/2 inch rings. She layered boneless thick cut pork chops, potatoes and onions with soup between them. She baked hers in the oven (before crock pots) but work just fine. I made mine up in the crockpot the night before. Stuck it in the fridge. When I got up I dropped it in the crockpot outer sleeve and turned it on high. When I left about and 1 hour 15 later, I turned it to low. I was gone 10 to 11 hours and it was tender and ready to eat when I got home. Full meal, one dirty pot. I made a full big crock so we had left overs for the next night. Tastes great. You can use any cream of soup you want. Chicken, mushroom, celery or a mix. I pepper my chops, potatoes and onions and put some garlic powder on the chops. The soup has a lot of salt so I let each person adjust that at the table. So good.
This is one of my family's favorite meals. I have never used ranch dressing in my recipe, but will definitely start using it. You all cook a lot of the same foods I do, but I always enjoy seeing what you might do differently. I also get a lot of good ideas for new recipes. Thank you!
WHAT did YOU do!? 🤣 Not only did you make my most preferred meat in my most preferred form, you made an entire plate that I need to reach through my monitor and have me some!
We've made this for years. We would brown the chops and put cut up potatoes over the top and then put frozen peas over potatoes. Then poured soup over top and bake. It's soon good!
Love you guys! Thanks for the great videos! I don’t usually make comments and tell the creator something they shouldn’t do but I really like you guys and I want to help! I noticed in the video you locked the lid on your crockpot while you cooked the pork chops. You really shouldn’t do that. Please google it, I’m not making it up. Thanks again!
What a blessing to find ya’ll! All the recipes that I learned from my Grandmothers and mother. Love watching you both , making the pork chops tonight!! Thank you and God Bless you🙏❤️
I'm going to make this recipe. Not a big fan of pork but this looks really good! Just an FYI - you're not suppose to use the latches on the sides of the crock pot unless you're traveling with it. If not traveling & simply cooking at home, don't use the latches. Some people have reported that their crock pot exploded due to pressure buildup when using the latches.
There are some slow cookers that have had that problem. The directions with this one says to use the latches because it has two vents for the steam to escape. We really do appreciate that you were looking out for us, though. And we hope when you try this recipe that you enjoy it!
Made the pork chops last night and they were delicious. The only thing I changed was the amount of ranch mix. If you look on the back of the bottle for recipes or go to Hidden Valley the amount of mix in each packet is 3 Tbls. not 2. I added 6 Tbls.. I made the recipe using 2 10 1/2 ounce cans of soup. This is a really good, easy recipe. I was really surprised at how good the gravy was.
Again I have watched your recipes twice a day just so I have new meals to make for my kids. The ranch pork chops are delicious with mashed potatoes and corn. Just love them.
I've had this type dish made with cream of mushroom soup and it was fabulous. Can't wait to try this variation. I only wish we had a meat market that offered such beautiful chops. I agree that bone-in tastes better. (If you can get them, try boiling shrimp with the heads still on. They're an experience to write home about.)
Hey Tom why sear your pork chops in a cast iron frying pan to get your chops nicely golden brown on both sides with a bit of seasonings to give them some added flavor??? That sounds like a great idea Tom. Maybe try it out if you like how that sounds. Let me know if you do decide to try it and let me know how it tastes.
We've never had a problem with ours. But you may have a different make and model than we do. Thanks so much for watching our channel. It's great having you at the table with us.
I would think you'd use cream of mushroom, not cream of chicken, for pork chops. Have you ever done that? Have you ever substituted chicken for the pork?
What’s wrong with just going with the recipe? Everyone wants to change it and that’s not what these videos are about. Enjoy their version then do your own thing.
Awesome good looking a recipe. I can't wait to try it. I have a similar recipe using chicken but it has stovetop stuffing in it. (It is great we love it.) I will try that in this recipe. I truly like the slow cooker meals all in one, lol. I agree with your daughter corn & mashed potatoes are a winner anytime. I like to mix them together. Many thumbs up to you & your video. I make something similar using cream of mushroom soup, saute pork or chicken then half cup of water followed by kg can mushroom soup and extra mushrooms from drained can. Low simmer covered for approximately 35 to 40 mins, served over egg noodles or potatoes of some sort or rice 😉😋
I love your recipes. I've tried several, and all of them have been delicious. Is there a way to thicken up the gravy just a little in the slow cooker pork chops and the beef tips and gravy recipes?

We made the ranch pork chops tonight! My family really enjoyed them. I know you said they would fall apart. I used a spatula like you did. Your pork chops stayed whole better than mine did. Also, we had to be careful with some little bones. Did I do something wrong?

I make something similar using cream of mushroom soup, saute pork or chicken then half cup of water followed by kg can mushroom soup and extra mushrooms from drained can. Low simmer covered for approximately 35 to 40 mins, served over egg noodles or potatoes of some sort or rice 😉😋
I've never tried this recipe though i will now. Many thanks ✝️✝️✝️
Thank you both for sharing your time and recipes and helpful hints and written recipe .take care, God bless
I love your recipes. I've tried several, and all of them have been delicious. Is there a way to thicken up the gravy just a little in the slow cooker pork chops and the beef tips and gravy recipes?
Love the way you tell us everything you need for the recipes I always add what I think you make it better lol❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's tough to watch fish when your on a diet I'm hungry. They look delicious and fhey are easy to make I'm going to try making them. Thanks for the easy recipes.
Making now. May have used too much Ranch seasoning, but smells good.

I made your corn pudding for Thanksgiving it was so good and so easy to make Do you have more recipes like that with veggies
I think it would be good also using 1 can of cream of chicken with 1 can of cream of mushroom also.
Thank you for sharing this video of pork chops,
One of my favorite dishes ever!!

8/30/2023 Saw this recipe looks easy and delicious
My favorite vegetable with Mashed potatoes was sweet peas❤
I really like those paired together, too! Thanks so much for watching one of our very first videos. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I love crockpot recipes.
YUM...Looks delicious. Just FYI YOU'RE not supposed to lock the latches on the sides of the crockpot while cooking...only to be used when transporting. Love your recipes.
We are glad you enjoy our recipes. Thank you so much for watching our channel.
Im starving looks so good!! Thank you both! God Bless !!
Tom your a great guy. Love your shows. Your amazing 👏 🤩 ✨️
I am making this in my crock pot right now. Can't wait for supper.
Great and simple, just good home cooking.
Outstanding, thank you. Hopefully you have a sweet potatoe casserole in that hat of tricks.
He does, indeed! I’ll tell him and we’ll try to get to that next week.
@@comesitatmytable9044 I wouldn't be in a hurry as Christmas will be over by then. I have one and it's good but I wanted to know what you guys used. Thank you and Merry Christmas
@@spmrosepi1 we’re doing scalloped potatoes this year since it’s a favorite with our soon to be son in law. But we may make a sweet potato casserole next week to use with ham leftovers.
Update: Bob- we just posted a video (Jan 2) for sweet potato casserole as promised. I hope you get to try it sometime and that you enjoy it.
We made the ranch pork chops tonight! My family really enjoyed them. I know you said they would fall apart. I used a spatula like you did. Your pork chops stayed whole better than mine did. Also, we had to be careful with some little bones. Did I do something wrong?
Not the maker of the video, but every time I put meat in a crock pot it falls apart so I'd guess you didn't
What other cereal can be used other then corn flakes if we don’t have any
I am making this right now in my slow cooker. I can't see it tasting anything but good. I can't wait untill 5 PM to eat. I am also making the mashed potatoes and corn with a side of applesauce. Thanks for sharing.
We really do love these pork chops and we are so happy that you are having them for dinner tonight. Thank you for letting us know! Enjoy the entire meal - it sounds totally delicious!
@@comesitatmytable9044 You are 100% correct. They are delicious. And they're so easy to make. I am going to keep this recipe in my arsenal.
