- Rare 1966 Lincoln Continental 2 Door Hardtop! Yes, most Continentals you will see have are the 4 door with the suicide doors, and 4 door convertibles. But most 2 door Lincolns of this era were Mark III's. You will rarely see this model in a 2 door hardtop, and it will ever harder to find one in such original condition as this one! Purchased new in Las Vegas, this example has only 71K miles on her. This is an unrestored example in excellent condition. It has had one repaint in its original color about two years ago. Leather, chrome, stainless all in excellent condition. The Continental came with a 462 cubic inch engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission. I can only compare the ride of this car to that of a Rolls Royce. I don't think there is a car on the market today that rides nice. Those are the days man 👨doesn't get any better hats off to classic cars 🚗
So true Ronald!!!!
My Mom had a '67 two door in antique gold. What a car it was! Everything about it was power, comfort and class.
Thats a very nice Conti.
Luv the body color.
🦘
There was no mark series in 1966, all 2 doors were Continental
My parents had a 1967 Lincoln 2 Door. I loved the speedometer
Yes, the 1969 Continental Mark III came out in mid '68.
Love this car and it is very rare to see, I do believe the suicide doors look awesome but everyone has one and they're not rare like this 2 door which I think ea the first 2 door coupe continental came out with in 1966,
Beautiful! Love Lincoln Continentals, had a gold one back in the day.
Beautiful American classic.
very nice with the optional individual front buckets with console
nice clean car, i had a '67 with the gangster suicide doors. the gangster doors is what really makes that car.
THIS VEHICLE IS SUPER MEAN AND CLEAN, ALL IT NEEDS IS FULL COVER REAR FENDERSKIRTS AND WOULD BE A MEANER G-RIDE TO THE MAX
That car is KNOCKOUT!
THE MARK SERIES RETURNED TO LINCOLN IN MID 1968 WITH THE NEW 1969-1971 MARK III.
Its just beautiful. My Dad bought a used '67 Coupe in '73. He loved that car and as a kid l would polish it constantly. My Mom unfortunately totaled it in an accident . She was ok, but the car could not be repaired. I know we still would have that car in the family if that accident me er happened.😢
Definitely exquisite indeed! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
2 DOOR HARDTOP CONTINENTAL THAT'S RARE AS HEN'S TEETH, WOW I WOULD LOVE TO OWN AND CRUISE THIS BABY
Nice!!!!
The whitewalls as you said, are not period correct. Also they only made 2 door coupes in 1966, 67. 68 and 69 that was it. Beautiful.
I own a 64 Lincoln convertible with "opera" doors.
The Mark lll was introduced in April of 1968, it was still on the drawing board when the car you have was built.
Different engine too.
Beautiful but I didn’t see any cup holders
I took and passed my driver's test in a 66 dark green/gray with red interior 2 door Lincoln in 1970. Loved that car. I think the jack goes under the spare tire. Is this car for sale? I currently have a 2004 Mercury Marquis with just over 10K miles.
They want 25.5K for it. That's actually not completely insane for this car.....
Wish I could purchase this vehicle....
I agree 2 door Continentals are more rare then the 4 door versions but there’s NO SUCH THING as a 1966 “Mark Series” as you stated. The Mark lll (successor to the 56-7 Mark ll ) wss late 1969-71. So from 1958-1968 there was No Mark series unless you count the 1958 MK lll 1959 Mk iv or 60 Mark V. But those were completely different beasts
Actually the Mark III came out late or mid 1968, but was considered a early 69, the first couple months as a sales ploy, it was limited production
I realized that albeit after I shot the video. I don't have the knowledge to edit the audio except for reshooting the entire video which I don't have time to do.
It’s all good. This is a gorgeous coupe non the less!!!
68's are slightly different than 69's.
Two minor corrections: The Lincoln Marks weren't being built in 1966. And the 4-doors were sedans, not hardtops. But your 2-door hardtop looks good!
Wide white walls are NOT correct on a '66 and make it look pimpy. I'd lose those right away!
Your correct about the Mark lll designation, first year was 69'. I owned one of these 2-doors years ago. It was referred to as a Sport Coupe.
Very nice..hear it run??
👀...👍🔥😝🔥👍
I always listen to AM over FM.
How about hearing it run?????????
Wonderfull machine goin to museum
86 those 50s whitewalls.
I would imagine it looks really nice without the huge whitewalls. Very nice condition.
Exactly what I was thinking too, white walls then were less than a inch
I get so sick of these stupid ass tires.
What did this sell for? I’m sure it’s sold by now
THANKS! Wow that makes me happy to see these types of cars getting some respectable prices. For years you’d be lucky to get $8-10k for a car like this in this shape. Meanwhile POS Camaros, Cudas and some mustangs routinely sell for $40-100k++. I could never get it
Call me crazy but I'd give $8,000 to own that car.
Those wide white walls were not factory, wide white walls were from the 1950s and early 1960,only
Price
love those gangster whitewalls. i had wide gangster white walls on my black '67 suicide door lincoln.
They look like CRAP.
@@paulpeterson4311 they look gangster but doesnt help that lincoln much since its only the ugly 2 door.
Oh the 1966 Mark series!!
HAHAHAHA!!!!
EYE ROLL
Technically, nothing can be VERY unique, as the word unique singles out one of a kind
I had no idea there even was a 2 door Continental, did they use any body panels from the 4 door?
Nice car but the rear taillight lenses were replaced at some point with those form a 1967- the '66 lenses are much simpler in design.
The previous owner like the 1967 style better. The original 1966 ones are wrapped in excellent condition in the trunk.
2:35 FWIW, I listen to AM pretty much all the time.
I COULDNT FIND A PRICE??

Why do you have '50's whitewalls on a 60's car? Is this pimp my ride? May I suggest some shag carpet and maybe some longhorns on the hood?
I did not put them on. They are under the bead so it takes a trip to the tire store to get them off. Just Haven't had the time.
Sorry gentlemen.... SOLD!!
Wonderful to drive, but miserable to park and to fill.
