- Here's the "do-over" Lincoln Continental video. Hopefully you missed the first one. In this video I introduce my 1966 Lincoln Continental. Her name is Heaven aka The Queen Of Hearts. Join me on this journey as I discover that this is not the same as owning a classic Mustang.

That is gorgeous. I have a Cadillac pickup from the 1970's and I can't go anywhere wilthout being pulled over and complimented on that vehicle.

1966 Continental with suicide doors is one of my favorite cars and this car is beautiful. It is giving me heart palpitations. It also has same color scheme as my current Cadillac.

I love this car and that you are saving it. My Grandparents owned one and I drove it hundreds of miles; they are bliss on the highway and cruising. Sorry you had to rebuild the 462, but it will now be all but bullet-proof. The interior and exterior chrome and stainless are excellent, as is the leather and that beautiful steering wheel I loved isn't split or cracked. The tilt wheel is a fairly rare option on the '66; it was the first year they offered. In '65, you could get a tilt column.
I pray the automatic HVAC works well. They are very complicated systems, all vacuum operated. When they work, they are great.
Perhaps in a future update video, highlight where the electronic eye is for the automatic headlight dimmer (the small glass insert on the front left peak molding). I always thought that was so cool, compared to the electronic eye mounted on the dash.
I believe the rubber backed heavy paper behind the door cards was part of the sound deadening, as those thick doors could pick up and resonate highway noise. You might also show the trunk; 18 cubic feet of luggage room! In '67, you could order optional luggage made to fit it perfectly.
I'm glad you put on white walls and got the right size white sidewall; they were thinner in '66.
I believe you have '67 hubcaps. They are in excellent condition, so don't fret. The Continental star on the '67 hubcaps was larger than the '66 and the stainless/black paint pattern was slightly different.

I had/have a passion for guitars. I use to take bass lesson. During that time I bought a few and then realized a lot of guitars are modeled from car inspiration. I still can't play though. LOL.

Thank you for watching!! Bypassing the window circuit. This just means that someone hooked up the window circuit directly to the battery instead of going to the ignition/key switch. So now the windows always have power even if the car in not on.

Thank you! I get it. To each his/her own. This is the original engine thats 60 years old thats suffered from neglect and never had any major work. It doesn't get better than that. My friend has a 69 Pontiac GTO. Absolutely beautiful car..... he gets towed a lot.
@@tanksleytv7565 I own a GTO myself, but damn. Those old 396 engines are pretty much bulletproof. So I just hope y'all both can get the motors worked out, because we need more brothers in that muscle car scene.
