As a follow up nine months later, I did get the Rode Wireless Pro! I’m very happy with everything as a loud person, except the included lavs. They’re not great IMO, I’d buy better ones. And yeah not being able to delete audio directly from the device is an odd choice.
I like all the features in the Rode Wireless Pro's. I'm hoping there is a way or a future update to pair more than 2 mics to the receiver. It would be nice to take advantage of the timecode and 32-bit float in a multi-cam scenario.
You really did a real review 😂, drop them?! I can trust your test. Getting them out of the case isn’t really one of the brightest methods, but at least I can just plug them in and drive to my next job knowing that they’re going to be charged. Great video. I’m loving mine btw
QUESTION: @@TommyCallaway I've ordered mine last week, and it's backordered! They have ZERO details on when it will actually be available. That's a HUGE downer. After watching your review and many others, I was very eager to start using these in my upcoming projects. Do you have any communications with the company, to know if/when production will be happening again?? Or just sit tight, indefinitely?
Hello. I have found this channel by luck and love it. Can you please advise if you can 'recover' audio in 32bit within Premier Pro? I have just been doing some tests and I'm still clipping massively and can't seem to get the results other people and yourself have. I would appreciate your help. Thanks.
I'm guessing the software has some kind of tracking or data collection that they are trying to gather so they can resell it to third parties as all companies do.
So if you just use the audio going into your camera it won’t be 32 bit? You have to record it on to the system and sync all your audio to get 32 bit? I’m trying to wrap my head around how these work before I buy them.
Yes, correct. You can record into your camera with the receiver, and if you didn't have any issues, that track will probably be fine. But you must record onto the rode wireless pro itself to get the 32 bit track, and if your camera audio track clipped or had issues, that's when you'll want to pull off the 32 bit track from the rode.
The included capsule mics are terrible with this kit. I thought there was something wrong with my actual mics but no, the capsules are just super sensitive
Hello sir. I just bought my RW pro and I need mostly to make a stream videos and record sound at the same time with recording the vide without post production. And I hear the same trouble - when you make not proceed live recording sound it’s noisy. Do you know how to solve it and improve the sound ? I know - the best option it’s to record on board and proceed the sound afterwards. But - anyway :)
Hello i just fond your message There is a mode on the transmetter to be always recording when on.In this case, if the button is hit by accident, it wille just start a new file so without lose any audio so it’s not very a big problem
@@TommyCallaway thank you would the DJI wireless microphone or the rode wireless pro be ideal for talking head videos or are they a good option for talking head videos on only for vlogs ?
Silly question I'm sure...but if I am transmitting directly to the camera, could I still choose to use the 32 bit float backup file (for the entire recording), rather than using the 24 bit file transmitted to the camera? I know you can use the 32 bit float file if the signal disconnects, but am I correct in thinking I can still chose to use the internal recording, even if transmitting to the camera? Someone help!
Great content, thank you. I’m actually looking for an adapter. And what I wonder is if there is something that I can connect my audio technica XLR boom mic to the wireless pro. So I am looking for something that connects to the 3.5 jack, possibly with a screw, and the other side to plug the mic into XLR. I have seen things that are similar, but I’m not sure if they are exactly what I need. So if anyone has any insight on that that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
JANUARY 2024 - that is when the PAYING CUSTOMERS will get one. So annoying over 30! RUclips channels have reviewed this and the PAYING CUSTOMERS have to wait until JANUARY.
As a serial yeller, I think you just sold me on that scream test. Thank you for this.
NO PROB
@zackdarce I was yelling as loud as I could. Will do more loud stuff soon.

Such a creative way to lay in the commercial seamlessly!

The Rode HS2 omnidirectional headset mic works very well with all the Rode Go series.
An unappreciated gem.
You can flip the mic/transmitter so that the shiny side is inside your shirt facing your chest, with only the matte clip showing.
I see so many vids with guys like this and think why - why not just have the clip showing, so much neater

Was the audio recorded directly onto camera or did you use the 32 bit float during the sponsored ad reading comparisons?
The sponsored segment was from 32 bit files on the rode wireless pro, a straight out of camera unprocessed segment can be found at 6:30
So I hear same "clicks" on your audio as I do on mine. Any idea what's that? They are kinda rare but very annoying and they stand out.
Wait so what im using a gopro and recorded a pov is the audio going to separate from the video?
What was the Sennheiser lav mic you used? It sounded pretty good.
MKE-2

Nice review, Tommy! Really insightful stuff 👏
Your studio is on fire
just to be clear, when you tested outside, did you apply Hi Pass Filter? thank you
Can you transmit to the receiver and record inside the transmitters at the same time as a backup?
Yes.
32bit onboard, is great. It's that "recovery" safety net everyone needs, when things go badly.
I'm guessing the software has some kind of tracking or data collection that they are trying to gather so they can resell it to third parties as all companies do.
Does the MKE2 work OK or really good? I think there is not optimal BIAS gain voltage from the Rodes?
Do you think the kit is good for singing and recording narrations ?
Are these good for live music ??
I understand these lack noise cancellation? Is that correct?

Wish you would have talked about timecode
Can it be plugged into an Android phone?
could you use it for singing
Is there a way to lock the transmitter buttons so that the talent doesn’t accidentally stop recording or mute when the unit is in their pocket?

Yes you can turn it off. :)
Will it work with Sanken COS11D?
Can i use this on android
I really dislike the red cable Rode includes with those units how about black instead
I like the red. You can use your own cables if you want though, there’s nothing special about it
What is your favorite microphone for talking head videos ?
Senn. MKH-416, been using it for years.

Bummer, so you cant record 32 bit from the camera
The camera internals themselves are not capable of recording a 32 bit signal, so no.
Not much people talk about what to do when the recharger battery dead
Charge it
@@KriticullCTRL I mean the battery totally dead no longer hold any charge. It’s convenient to use but battery is the biggest issue
Great video. My wallet hates you 💸💸💸
😂😂😂
Nice review. Impressive specs, but the Rode lavs are meh.
Yeah. The built in mic sounds much better than the lavs in my opinion.
No Lav is best. Unprocessed is good. Very good.
Something’s burning
Can you just review the mic without all the flashy stuff.

I’m in Europe, in Romania and I got the Wireless Pro yesterday. A friend got it a month ago. We did have to pre-order them though.
