Yeah man, it’s always fun fishing in and around the harbor. You never know what you are going to get. I don’t know if you could tell or not, but in the intro I slowed a clip down where two 30 to 40 pound jack crevalle swam right at me and under the boat.
Hey.Just subscribed and liked. My younger brother & sister in-law live down there. Get the islands mixed up but think it James island.Straight across from the battery, historic downtown…On a creek with a boat & all, but,he hasn’t gotten into that type of fishing yet. I bring a couple of my 1 piece st croix’s w smooth 2000 series reels with me when I visit but Dk the water down there.this is the 1st video of yours I’ve watched.Pretty sure I can direct him to where you & your old soccer buddy were fishing .So thx for that. Will watch some more & see how & where y’all do it .We visited them over MLK weekend at a rental they have over on IOP. Decided not to bring any rods because my daughter & me carpooled with my sister/brother in law.Smaller SUV & didn’t want to have those long rods in the middle of the car .Especially not knowing what or if anything was biting around there. When we’re over on IOP , we don’t really go anywhere.Would have most likely been fishing out front or somewhere close by & like I mentioned before…DK those waters very well. Were in NC. Grew up fishing Topsail Island a lot. Had a little cottage in Surf City Until both parents passed away & I was outvoted 3 to 1 to sell around 2010. Those waters I know like the back of my hand. It’s sort of the same but not .If you know what I mean. Want to get little bro into some different ways of fishing. It’s great fishing all around y’all down there pretty much all year round & it pains me to see him not taking advantage of all that area has to offer. His thing has turned into buying 3-4 kind of lower end surf combos every other year and putting some braid ,SS circle hooks and a 1-2,oz flat round disk weight on all of them & in the rod holders on the end of the dock.Occasionally putting them in the holders on the T top (think that’s what they are called.?.?)of the boat. Just lazy bottom fishing with shrimp or maybe a few minnows now & then. He catches a nice red or whatever now & then ,but if he could get a taste of this kind of fishing , I know he’d start figuring it out & love it. Enjoy & thx for sharing. LMK if you check these comments pls. I would love to ask you about a couple specifics.Thx. PS. You have inspired me.jigs mostly but I also can’t stand trebles. Switching all of them out. What brand/style do you prefer .thx.
Nice man! Hit me up when you come into town next. I can point you in the right direction. Also, for the in-line hooks to switch the trebles out, I don't use a specific brand. I just get whatever size I think fits best for that lure.
Great day! Honored to be on the show and can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed the day with a dear friend I had not seen in a long time. Looking forward to Part 3 this Fall!!!
Just wondering what boatramp do you use when fishing the Wando. I live mid state and I'm only familiar with leeds ramp on the Ashley river, or Remley's own the wando
In the general area you got Remleys, Shem Creek, Isle of Palms Marina (they charge $20 non resident), Buck Hall, Garris Landing (inaccessible at some low tides depending on your boat), Wappoo Cut, and Limehouse. All public and free besides IOP Marina. I’m sure I’m missing a couple but those are the main ones. Look them up and figure out which one is closest to where you want to fish
That’s my old stomping grounds! Fished that area for 15 years straight before I started venturing out to other places. I have well over 70-80 spots where I can catch ‘em around there. I’m just getting started…..
Enjoyed that one. Looked like you were having fun out there pulling in some different species. Looking forward to Part 2!

Way to get on them with the dine’s... I hear it in your voice on the fear of those trebles... might have to get yourself a thick glove 🧤. 😂🎣🐟
Really nice cliff hanger Kevin! …… waiting on the next ones.
Haha, thanks. I should have it up in a couple of days.

Haha. Thanks!
New to the area and I’m a Kayak fisherman I’d luv to know of some good spots to fish and also where I can launch from
You can put your kayak in really at any of the boat ramps.
Just wondering what boatramp do you use when fishing the Wando. I live mid state and I'm only familiar with leeds ramp on the Ashley river, or Remley's own the wando
I use Remley's a bunch and also Paradise island but that ramp can be very dodgie.
