Awesome Video.... I remember this tip when you first bought the Everlast.... that’s what made me buy my Everlast with the 25’ torch. Great idea on extending the ground as well. Keep crankin💪🇺🇸😎
Welding got so much better for me when I finally got my water cooled torch going with my everlast welder. I really should have started using it when I bought the welder.
We run 50' tig leads at our shop, put one in the middle of an 80' boat and it will get about every place without moving the machine around. Flexheads and amptracks are a must too.
The first thing I do with any new Machine is put a 50' Ground Lead at least twice as size in gauge as the factory once on it, with a Bronze 500amp Ground Clamp. Then add extended Torch Leads. They do make 50' Tig Torch Cables/Hoses. If you have a big Shop, these are even better. I have 1 Machine with the 50' on it. The rest have 25's
Yep 25 ft is on my list. And a 330 cf Bottle. I went through a 155 in less than 12 hours over the course of 2.5 weeks. I have an upgraded everlast watercooled 18 it's a big torch but it's fine for me. But I wonder if the standard watercooled 18 is much different
Kyle, love your videos. You are one of my fav you tubers. I sure wish you would review the tig units you have. I’m looking to buy just one unit. I have a typical 3 bay home garage. I’ve been looking at the new Esab 205ic AC/DC. You have just about all the major brands. You would be in a good position to evaluate. I’m sure you are sponsored by some of those guys like Fronus, but I see an Esab over in the corner. Thanks Mike from Houston
Hey Mike, I currently only have a Everlast and my Fronius. I have had one of the Eastwood machines and some Millers in the past. Everything I have had, I have done reviews on. The ESAB you see is a plasma cutter.
Any downsides to the longer cable? Like more voltage drop or anything like that? It must waste gas more. Like every time you stop welding, any gas left in the cable just gets lost/wasted.
Isn't today "hump day"...wednesday.? It should be pretty easy to remember what day it is. Most people walk around with a computer in their pocket, that they look at 50x a day (the date is usually on the main screen). LoL. Peace.
I only have 25 ft leads for my Fronius Magicwave 2200 Job. Type 21 style torch, better cooling that the standard 20 style torch. One with a fixed torch head, and one spare one with a flex head.
For the guys with Lincolns or Millers long leads are widely available. Typically you buy the torch and lead and add whatever dinse and/or cooler setup you have. Miller/Weldcraft makes a super flex version that’s great but a bit more expensive than rubber called a Mono-Flex. I upgraded a few years ago. www.millerwelds.com/-/media/miller-electric/imported-mam-assets/spec-sheets/2/b/0/ay23-0.pdf Miller changed the Weldcraft part number so a WP17 is now an A-150 and a WP9 is now an A-100 but old guys at welding stores still use 17 or 9 to get parts.
When I have enough money, I will have a workshop like yours, awesome, just with a couple of ramps in addition. This is functional not like the Matt Moreman OG fancy pancy but no substance or function.
That's a good setup . But i have difelcutlys with the foot controller so i installed a torch controller switch and it's liquid cooled witch is a Plus .🐤🐤😎.
That's a simple and cool cart you made

I just switched to a speedway torch and it's the jam. We weld anodized aluminum so water cooled is required for the high frequency
Great video Kyle, thank you!
I like these shorter tips and tricks videos too!
"Sort of" LOL Love it didn't know that was available. A 25' lead would cover my whole shop! Thanks.

Watercooled, 25' with a finger control, takes a while to get used to, but makes life much easier.
Nice shirt brother, what’s company sell shirt ?
On the boiler we use lead with tweeco connectors hundred feet or more and get the gas to the torch with the green gas hose.
Wait a second, is it Friday...fool? This seems like a tool I need. It's hard enough knowing what day it is anymore.
Isn't today "hump day"...wednesday.? It should be pretty easy to remember what day it is. Most people walk around with a computer in their pocket, that they look at 50x a day (the date is usually on the main screen). LoL. Peace.

yeah I like to have both options
My welder weighs 800lbs. It has no choice but to to stay in one spot. Long leads are mandatory
If CK don't have it, USA WELD might.
25' with a hand amptrol is the bees knees. i don't like 4t.
you know...what you really need is a wireless TIG pedal...
yeah i agree. fronius has one available now that I need to get
