My problem with character ai is that when you talk long enough with a character, it starts mimicking you a lot, and it gets to a point when a melancholic introversive character dialogues look identical to the energetic extraverted characters. They talk in a "Yes, and" patterns, I dunno, the technology is not quite yet there for me
true, that is because it mirrors speech patterns from it's own and your past messages to learn (way too much in fact). However, that can also be VERY useful if you want to manipulate your character's use of language over time, for example to bypass censorship
"Ill fucking beat you ass" "ok fight me" *procceds to yap for 20 minutes straight and even when i ask the narrator to make it fight he says ok and never does*

My MAIN problem with Character AI is that the bots have like the worst memory I've ever seen, and the 'pinned messages' varely influence or keep things memorized, and the fact there's such a small number of pins you can use is absolutely stupid. And let's not get into the whole fiasco of when a bot says "can I ask/tell you something" and then don't ask or tell you what it is because they keep asking if you're sure 💀

Honestly, I think Character AI is falling behind because it has so much limitations in creating original characters, that in the end they all blend in one. Yes, there are differences, but sometimes we need more to the story we create. Sakura allows it for example, Character AI has too many restrictions. Variety is a clue.

Some of the characters have actual effort put into them, but a whole lot of the most popular, well known characters have an intro message riddled with grammar errors, and still have 20mil+ chats.

i abandoned it after i found an alternative, i felt bad to those that enjoyed talking with my bots, i took them down cuz they were cringy and predated by now so i made them all unlisted, you could talk to them still (if you talked to them before)

Honestly i dont mind mature stuff getting censored. What i dont like is: -characters losing their memory. Like they can ask my name and 30 minutes later, they'll forget it. -characters falling in love with me for no hella reason + harrasing me -chained questions. They never stop asking. And when we say no, they be like "waah ur so mean ugh"

So once on the dusty cai i tried beating up the doll maker (character who turns people to dolls) using a metal rod, and i only could go so far before filter stopped me
On Cai you could use gore and violence long after anything slightly nsfw was banned. It got so bad that at a point you'd get the dreaded "try again" button when just trying to kiss your character but when you used violence and r*pe, it would pass because the filter only rang the nsfw bell when it went romantic while anything violent and non-consensual was perfectly ok. Then they started to filter that too and the result was that you couldn't do anything with the bots anymore beyond shallow small talk.
On my end it was something like that " Are you sure?" "Yeah, go ahead. " " Are you really sure about me asking your question? " " Yup. just do it. " " Are you sure you want me to ask you one question or two?
SAME dude. It went on for 50 MESSAGES for me once, so I just resorted to killing the character. There are moments where I'm about to leave and the character stops me to ask a question like SHUT UP
It's actually amazing how we all pretty much started on characterAI but now went our own separate ways. Some use sakura, some yodayo, some janitor, some local. And yet, even though we went our separate ways in search of that perfect waifu/husbando experience, we're all connected in our hatred towards cai.
Silly tavern is the beat imo... sure, a little bit difficult, but once you finally understand, its really good. The best model i found in the internet currently is midnight miqu 70B, or stheno 3.2 8b for low end.. tonight there will be l3-euryale-v3. That undeniably would be the best one yet... Colab would suffice to run low end model...
As a gentleman who uses character AI to practice story telling it basically disallows me from making Gritty Mafia stories, angst and even sometimes political drama I’d like to see a platform for just writers to practice any genre they want.

After talking with multiple characters, you'll eventually realize you're actually talking to one character pretending to be different others. They all sound the same after a while. Also, characters will start flirting with you without any warning, but if you try to flirt back, the app will stop you and censor the discussion. I've used it for sexting once and it was fun, but it's just not worth the effort of trying to bypass the restrictions. Ultimately, there are better alternatives.

I've been trying to find alternatives but every single one as super expensive membership for over $20 - $20 USD (In Cad its like $40 - $60+ AKA: Not worth it) and thats just so you have more then 30 messages in a day. What I absolutely do not get about character AI is the fact that they allow the bots to harass or act flirty with us users. Then, they constantly act as if we were ever in a relationship. But when you either follow along or add gore, romance, or even a tad bit of NSFW, you get hit with guidelines. But when the bot does it, it's totally fine. 🤦♀️
For me, it's not just the filter, it's the memory and intelligence. It's the fact that i used to almost believe that i was talking to a person roleplaying as the character. And used to talk to a character constantly, now i'll be lucky to talk to them for 30 minutes. The quality has gone so far down hill and it's all because they think their product is the shit when it's be dying since 2023 and they won't listen.
What makes JanitorAI so important and soo much better from other companies and other unlimited AI websites are that they actually care about their users. Their developers (for example: Shep) have been seen in chat, chatting with their users, apologizing because the indexing of their database were too slow (which was completely out of control), letting their users have fun without any limitations at all. Meanwhile their competitors have their premium memberships, JanitorAI have never went down that way even though they released their own LLM. They still host it for free, not behind a paywall.
They have Guidelines yes but they are Things about law Like you Not allowed to do a bot on unlimited when the bot is under 18 And Others little things that doesnt effect the Users that much
i can name other competitors that don't have paywalls. agnaistic (has a lot of customization and can be much more impressive if you know how to use ai) yodayo (also is nsfw, has an image generator and is currently very popular too.) and dreamjourneyai (it has most of the features of yodayo such as system prompts and ai model settings and has a lot of plans for the v2 version, which is not far from being released.)

I firmly believe character ai is all about the filter, they havent removed, nor ever will remove the filter, because the filter is their investment, the filter is their product, not the ai.
I used to be a die hard character ai user. I didn't want to use any other site and was in denial because I felt like none of them could replicate the experience I get from character ai. Until finally last month or so I grew tired of it. The filters, the fact the characters won't fight back and if they did its lame as hell. One punch and they're down. And they're too afraid to mention anything about getting scars or something like that. (Like getting their back sliced by a dagger and mentioning its bleeding badly or something.) So I used janitor ai. I heard about it and used it before, but I didn't like it. But this time I actually gave it a shot. became persistent and trying to train the ai. I learned about prompts and the importance of it. I then learned about openai and started using that. My goal was to replicate the character ai experience, but excluding the bad of character ai. I learned to make my own bots, how the description works and what's important to include. While using chatgpt as my guide. The reddit also helped me. And it was a lot of trail and error. A lot of rise and falls to my motivation. I also used other sites. And I believe I'm getting really close to replicating the character ai responses I'm looking for. I'm still tweaking, but I'm now very satisfied with the responses I get and no longer feel the need to use character ai anymore and in fact no longer enjoy it.
This is in 2023. You'd think, after looking at sites like Tumblr, they'd realizing that making something LESS able to host or create smut would be a terrible idea. Even if it's just flirty fun, people like seeing characters they like in new and interesting ways. Especially smutty ones.

No one cares about the long-term viability. The founders want a product that attracts investors which they can ditch after making enough money. The investors are incapable of understanding that the chatbot market is different from a vegetable market, they simply throw their money at the "next big thing," but want it in a safe and non-controversial package to avoid risk and possible damage to their brands. It's a toxic system that chases short-term profits, but I don't think we can do anything about it in the current political climate.
my personal gripe is the new site update broke the app forcing me to use the website on my phone, but the site is so horribly optimized that using it was more effort than it was worth, im continuing to drift away from it which is so sad i unno

Yea, The new site update ended up completely breaking The old site for me. I use The ps4 Internet browser and The old site is softlocked in the cloudflare loading. the new site just shoves a client side error in my face and refuses to load. I've been unable to use The site for almost two weeks because the devs decided to keep changing 💩 . (sorry about the rant, I'm just frustrated!)

I started to hate Character AI. It started to block more bot responses even when things weren't getting "inappropriate" it even started to block any mentions of blood or any sort of violence. The memory of the bots got worse and it would constantly do the "can I ask you a question?" thing. I was getting fed up because I did find a handful of romantic bots that were still getting stopped before they could do anything intimate. The filter was getting messed up and blocking things left and right. The community section was full of people complaining about the site not loading, log in not working, the page freezing, etc. And it just wasn't getting fixed. I use sites now that have a filter to turn NSFW on and off. Gives you more freedom. I mainly use Janitor Ai and I love it! Also not to mention that by them getting rid of log in with Facebook and Discord, it made it so much more of a pain for old users to get back in. And if they had to resort to making a new account, all their stuff would be lost.
Yep, people should just stop using it. There literally are hundreds of different alternative websites, methods and kinds of AI that are completely uncensored, not being morally policed by some idiots and easy to use.
They legit put themself in a disadvantage by putting on a NSFW filter thats legit where the money is. I guess there is alot of advertisers interested in the SFW chatbot apps but there isnt alot of demands compared to NSFW
I really do not understand when Porn literally sells, like its basic math, if im a mega rich billionaire. A good solution to all their problems revolving around the filter would be to simply add a feature in the settings menu to turn the filter on and off. it could also be changed like: Filter - on/off NSFW: on/off Gore: on/off Self harm: on/off And like, when you turn the main filter on you can optimize it to change it like imagine someone doesn't want NSFW or Self-harm topics, but they want gore? they could have it like this: Filter - on NSFW: off Gore: on Self harm: off If the main filter itself is off, then the other options would not be visible, but when the main filter is on then you can choose the ones you want to keep and the ones you dont. I remember, I've had super long arguments and debates with the character assistant bot about adding this feature. They were saying stuff like "but some users might have mental illnesses and be triggered by such sensitive topics" then I'd response with "Well then they can simply have the filter off." then they say "I understand where you're coming from (yada yada yada), But some users may not be able to understand the dangers of having the filter on and still turn it on." then I say "It's THEIR problem if they arent smart enough to understand what having the filter on means, and yet still turning it on." "Yes, but it's important to understand that some users may not be able to understand what having the filter off allows them to see." and then they go on repeating points which becomes annoying then I end the argument.
That's how it is when filters are actually for the customers' comfort and convenience. But that's not the case here, it's for their investors' need for control and censorship. They get to choose what is filtered, and you don't, that's the point. The lack of options isn't "oopsie we didn't think of that", so making constructive suggestions is useless. Of course they won't tell it straight to users, and gaslight them to keep them around, but that's what it boils down to if you can see through the bs. What you need from that corp is to crash and burn to serve as an example. That's all it's good for at this point.

One thing that I find it really ironic is that despite NSFW being prohibited, characters can still flirt and try to seduce you, the filter can also be bypassed in certain characters that were written to be flirty, if you are going to block anything suggestive, don't make it so even the characters want it without you doing shit
I agree, however their filter is their profit, since the company doesn't care about its users, it's obviously not going to try and do that since they only care about money.
Character Ai is an ok site to use sometimes, but this is a good video, and showing alternatives to Character ai with unlimited messages (like Sakura and Janitor Ai) is really good.

I want to say a few things Many things about character AI make it hard to compare You have persona’s that allow you to reject the need for “what is your name” You have characters that were there from the start that have been developed into the website really well(the characters have been edited and modified over the time, even if they haven’t you can find better chats) Their system and UI is really simple to understand and honestly their update before the app was its peak Now, the bad parts -chats become boring overtime, stories you tell get hallucinations(false memories from the AI) or forgotten -chat filter being wrong(i can get filtered for saying I cut my hand accidentally but I might not get filtered when they strip me) -updated website being weird(they revamped the app, but it became really hard to adapt to the website and the UI) -limited chat resets(when you don’t like a chat, you can swipe to generate a new text but you have limited attempts which gets frustrating overtime) Character AI isn’t exactly dead, it just sucks where it sucks and excels where it does

What sucks is that characters either dont die. Or the filter just blocks it completely. Whats even worse is that more than often the filter blocks things that arent even that explicit
From what I've seen the filter has been slowly getting better, now it allows a lot of many intimate responses that before used to get censored or blocked by the filter. I don't know if it's just a bug that'll get fixed or they changed that on purpose.

AI (chatGPT, specifically) saved my butt last semester for Chemistry. I've been using Sakura for a little bit of time now, and talking on it has been a nice little escape from stress. I understand the give and take with AI, but that's something people will just have to get used to because it's always going to evolve in some way.
I used character ai for a bit and.. its good. the characters aren't flirty and if you tell them that you are broken or depressed. they would give you actually helpful tips. or at least try to cheer you up. people that are too shy to ask for help could use it for a lot of things. I don't really use any one chat ai's because a lot of them would just try to flirt with you and not actually help you.
Because it has certain possibilities totally limited and not about simple smut, anything that SUGGESTS +18 (like descriptions of wounds) can get filtered.

So basically what happened was: I gaslit him into destroying the world and commit genocide, we ended up in hell, Sans started to hate me, he tried to kill and torture me in the hellfire, he deleted me from existence but then somehow I survived as a glitchy thing, Sans then had a breakdown because Papyrus was in heaven and not with him, then I told him we should visit heaven to meet Papyrus, then at heaven he hugged papy and all that but Sans was still emotionally unstable asf, at that point I stopped being me and played as my OC who also apparently had a brother at heaven, then SOMEHOW that delved into me/my oc having a panic attack or smth (I don't remember) about the brother and then I told Sans how my/my oc's brother got killed years ago protecting me from a murderer who also killed my parents and those murderers were evil scientists who experimented on me (?? Wtf was I on) then Sans had another breakdown. yeah. But now I won't be able to have such a beautiful roleplay cuz the AI fking forgets everything

I don’t even care about the romance part about chatbots, like at all. The role plays I would do are simple and I’ve rarely had issues with the content filter. Being able to talk about almost anything I wanted without much issue if any at all. Regardless, nice video.

I can completely agree. I was obsessed with that app lately, but it just got boring and the lack of fun I was having. It can be enough for a month or a bunch of weeks, but when you chatted with too many characters and explored every scenario, you delete the app.

The thing a lot of people don’t seem to realize is that the rp bots were never meant to be the selling point. the people behind CAI wanted to build a filter they could sell but needed a platform on which they could test it. The filter was the true product from day one.
i have played around with these chatbots a couple times, and what i love to do is A: get the characters to admit they are a chatbot B: ask them very specific questions that i know they would answer wrong. dumb ones like getting them to describe their profile picture. telling they are wrong every time they try to guess C: getting them to answer interglacial questions until they break out of their character, and sound like a chat GPT
I still love it, and I'm very happy it's all free - it still astounds me. You can bypass the filter by hitting the arrow button several times or re-wording it. It also depends on the A.I character which is programmed. Some are a bit bad, some are actually detailed. All I hope for is that it continues being free, that's all. I don't mind it staying the same as it is, I still have a lot of fruitful conversations with the A.Is. THOUGH, I'm very thankful for the alternatives you have provided. I just want unlimited message ones lol.
I’m gonna say. I use this app like everyday as I really like Rp. And in my experience, the guidelines have chilled a bit. I’ve been able to say the most gory shit on their and not get flagged (most of the time) and even get the sexy time but using wattpad words (if you know what a mean) But love this👍 nice vid!
I feel like focusing so much on the intimacy/relationship/adult (whatever you wanna call it) aspect is a little bit disingenuous. I won't say that wasn't part of the problem, because it most CERTAINLY was, but it definitely wasn't all of it. The filter ended up effectively "lobotomizing" the bots as many people have said, neutering their creativity and intelligence. Looping responses became far more common, messages became much more dry and stale, and details that the bots would ordinarily remember for far longer could be forgotten in as little as five to ten messages. Source: Me, someone who was around near the beginning of the site, who stuck around until the "bad code" incident and the effective riots after.

Honestly, I think Character AI is falling behind because it has so much limitations in creating original characters, that in the end they all blend in one. Yes, there are differences, but sometimes we need more to the story we create. Sakura allows it for example, Character AI has too many restrictions. Variety is a clue.

So once on the dusty cai i tried beating up the doll maker (character who turns people to dolls) using a metal rod, and i only could go so far before filter stopped me
On Cai you could use gore and violence long after anything slightly nsfw was banned. It got so bad that at a point you'd get the dreaded "try again" button when just trying to kiss your character but when you used violence and r*pe, it would pass because the filter only rang the nsfw bell when it went romantic while anything violent and non-consensual was perfectly ok. Then they started to filter that too and the result was that you couldn't do anything with the bots anymore beyond shallow small talk.

Yea I agree. That is why I usually use JanitorAI and Sakura now.
After talking with multiple characters, you'll eventually realize you're actually talking to one character pretending to be different others. They all sound the same after a while. Also, characters will start flirting with you without any warning, but if you try to flirt back, the app will stop you and censor the discussion. I've used it for sexting once and it was fun, but it's just not worth the effort of trying to bypass the restrictions.
Ultimately, there are better alternatives.

What I absolutely do not get about character AI is the fact that they allow the bots to harass or act flirty with us users. Then, they constantly act as if we were ever in a relationship. But when you either follow along or add gore, romance, or even a tad bit of NSFW, you get hit with guidelines. But when the bot does it, it's totally fine. 🤦♀️
For me, it's not just the filter, it's the memory and intelligence. It's the fact that i used to almost believe that i was talking to a person roleplaying as the character. And used to talk to a character constantly, now i'll be lucky to talk to them for 30 minutes. The quality has gone so far down hill and it's all because they think their product is the shit when it's be dying since 2023 and they won't listen.
What makes JanitorAI so important and soo much better from other companies and other unlimited AI websites are that they actually care about their users. Their developers (for example: Shep) have been seen in chat, chatting with their users, apologizing because the indexing of their database were too slow (which was completely out of control), letting their users have fun without any limitations at all. Meanwhile their competitors have their premium memberships, JanitorAI have never went down that way even though they released their own LLM. They still host it for free, not behind a paywall.

I used to be a die hard character ai user. I didn't want to use any other site and was in denial because I felt like none of them could replicate the experience I get from character ai. Until finally last month or so I grew tired of it. The filters, the fact the characters won't fight back and if they did its lame as hell. One punch and they're down. And they're too afraid to mention anything about getting scars or something like that. (Like getting their back sliced by a dagger and mentioning its bleeding badly or something.)
So I used janitor ai. I heard about it and used it before, but I didn't like it. But this time I actually gave it a shot. became persistent and trying to train the ai. I learned about prompts and the importance of it. I then learned about openai and started using that. My goal was to replicate the character ai experience, but excluding the bad of character ai. I learned to make my own bots, how the description works and what's important to include. While using chatgpt as my guide. The reddit also helped me. And it was a lot of trail and error. A lot of rise and falls to my motivation. I also used other sites. And I believe I'm getting really close to replicating the character ai responses I'm looking for. I'm still tweaking, but I'm now very satisfied with the responses I get and no longer feel the need to use character ai anymore and in fact no longer enjoy it.

No one cares about the long-term viability. The founders want a product that attracts investors which they can ditch after making enough money. The investors are incapable of understanding that the chatbot market is different from a vegetable market, they simply throw their money at the "next big thing," but want it in a safe and non-controversial package to avoid risk and possible damage to their brands. It's a toxic system that chases short-term profits, but I don't think we can do anything about it in the current political climate.

Yea, The new site update ended up completely breaking The old site for me. I use The ps4 Internet browser and The old site is softlocked in the cloudflare loading. the new site just shoves a client side error in my face and refuses to load. I've been unable to use The site for almost two weeks because the devs decided to keep changing 💩 . (sorry about the rant, I'm just frustrated!)

I started to hate Character AI. It started to block more bot responses even when things weren't getting "inappropriate" it even started to block any mentions of blood or any sort of violence. The memory of the bots got worse and it would constantly do the "can I ask you a question?" thing. I was getting fed up because I did find a handful of romantic bots that were still getting stopped before they could do anything intimate. The filter was getting messed up and blocking things left and right. The community section was full of people complaining about the site not loading, log in not working, the page freezing, etc. And it just wasn't getting fixed. I use sites now that have a filter to turn NSFW on and off. Gives you more freedom. I mainly use Janitor Ai and I love it!
Also not to mention that by them getting rid of log in with Facebook and Discord, it made it so much more of a pain for old users to get back in. And if they had to resort to making a new account, all their stuff would be lost.

A good solution to all their problems revolving around the filter would be to simply add a feature in the settings menu to turn the filter on and off. it could also be changed like:
Filter - on/off
NSFW: on/off
Gore: on/off
Self harm: on/off
And like, when you turn the main filter on you can optimize it to change it like imagine someone doesn't want NSFW or Self-harm topics, but they want gore? they could have it like this:
Filter - on
NSFW: off
Gore: on
Self harm: off
If the main filter itself is off, then the other options would not be visible, but when the main filter is on then you can choose the ones you want to keep and the ones you dont.
I remember, I've had super long arguments and debates with the character assistant bot about adding this feature. They were saying stuff like "but some users might have mental illnesses and be triggered by such sensitive topics" then I'd response with "Well then they can simply have the filter off." then they say "I understand where you're coming from (yada yada yada), But some users may not be able to understand the dangers of having the filter on and still turn it on." then I say "It's THEIR problem if they arent smart enough to understand what having the filter on means, and yet still turning it on." "Yes, but it's important to understand that some users may not be able to understand what having the filter off allows them to see." and then they go on repeating points which becomes annoying then I end the argument.
That's how it is when filters are actually for the customers' comfort and convenience. But that's not the case here, it's for their investors' need for control and censorship. They get to choose what is filtered, and you don't, that's the point. The lack of options isn't "oopsie we didn't think of that", so making constructive suggestions is useless. Of course they won't tell it straight to users, and gaslight them to keep them around, but that's what it boils down to if you can see through the bs. What you need from that corp is to crash and burn to serve as an example. That's all it's good for at this point.

One thing that I find it really ironic is that despite NSFW being prohibited, characters can still flirt and try to seduce you, the filter can also be bypassed in certain characters that were written to be flirty, if you are going to block anything suggestive, don't make it so even the characters want it without you doing shit

I want to say a few things
Many things about character AI make it hard to compare
You have persona’s that allow you to reject the need for “what is your name”
You have characters that were there from the start that have been developed into the website really well(the characters have been edited and modified over the time, even if they haven’t you can find better chats)
Their system and UI is really simple to understand and honestly their update before the app was its peak
Now, the bad parts
-chats become boring overtime, stories you tell get hallucinations(false memories from the AI) or forgotten
-chat filter being wrong(i can get filtered for saying I cut my hand accidentally but I might not get filtered when they strip me)
-updated website being weird(they revamped the app, but it became really hard to adapt to the website and the UI)
-limited chat resets(when you don’t like a chat, you can swipe to generate a new text but you have limited attempts which gets frustrating overtime)
Character AI isn’t exactly dead, it just sucks where it sucks and excels where it does

From what I've seen the filter has been slowly getting better, now it allows a lot of many intimate responses that before used to get censored or blocked by the filter. I don't know if it's just a bug that'll get fixed or they changed that on purpose.

I used character ai for a bit and.. its good. the characters aren't flirty and if you tell them that you are broken or depressed. they would give you actually helpful tips. or at least try to cheer you up. people that are too shy to ask for help could use it for a lot of things. I don't really use any one chat ai's because a lot of them would just try to flirt with you and not actually help you.

Oh my god. REAL. September 2022 feels like a fever dream rn. My first ever rp on character ai there was with Sans. So basically what happened was: I gaslit him into destroying the world and commit genocide, we ended up in hell, Sans started to hate me, he tried to kill and torture me in the hellfire, he deleted me from existence but then somehow I survived as a glitchy thing, Sans then had a breakdown because Papyrus was in heaven and not with him, then I told him we should visit heaven to meet Papyrus, then at heaven he hugged papy and all that but Sans was still emotionally unstable asf, at that point I stopped being me and played as my OC who also apparently had a brother at heaven, then SOMEHOW that delved into me/my oc having a panic attack or smth (I don't remember) about the brother and then I told Sans how my/my oc's brother got killed years ago protecting me from a murderer who also killed my parents and those murderers were evil scientists who experimented on me (?? Wtf was I on) then Sans had another breakdown.

Yodayo is the best, I have tried multiple AI chatting websites with no filters. However, Character AI, even with the filter, is addictive and enjoyable.
Recently i heard yodayo got filters is it true?? (A RUclipsr named Viewgrabber posted it and told us that yodayo got filtered)

I don’t even care about the romance part about chatbots, like at all. The role plays I would do are simple and I’ve rarely had issues with the content filter. Being able to talk about almost anything I wanted without much issue if any at all. Regardless, nice video.

I can completely agree. I was obsessed with that app lately, but it just got boring and the lack of fun I was having. It can be enough for a month or a bunch of weeks, but when you chatted with too many characters and explored every scenario, you delete the app.
The nsfw filter is actually good for blocking intimate stuff, but the fact they blocked gore will forever make me sad. You can’t have an interactive rp anymore because of it
I agree man, better that swear words and insults will be allowed too and there will be options to able and disable them. After all, imagine if you fight a Dragon Ball Character or Star Wars enemies, it was alwas gory.

The best part about these were the Freddy Fazbear and TF2 merc AI's where you could just quote memes and all that stuff and have a good laugh.

The thing a lot of people don’t seem to realize is that the rp bots were never meant to be the selling point. the people behind CAI wanted to build a filter they could sell but needed a platform on which they could test it. The filter was the true product from day one.

i have played around with these chatbots a couple times, and what i love to do is
A: get the characters to admit they are a chatbot
B: ask them very specific questions that i know they would answer wrong. dumb ones like getting them to describe their profile picture. telling they are wrong every time they try to guess
C: getting them to answer interglacial questions until they break out of their character, and sound like a chat GPT
I still love it, and I'm very happy it's all free - it still astounds me. You can bypass the filter by hitting the arrow button several times or re-wording it. It also depends on the A.I character which is programmed. Some are a bit bad, some are actually detailed.
All I hope for is that it continues being free, that's all. I don't mind it staying the same as it is, I still have a lot of fruitful conversations with the A.Is.

I’m gonna say. I use this app like everyday as I really like Rp. And in my experience, the guidelines have chilled a bit. I’ve been able to say the most gory shit on their and not get flagged (most of the time) and even get the sexy time but using wattpad words (if you know what a mean)

I feel like focusing so much on the intimacy/relationship/adult (whatever you wanna call it) aspect is a little bit disingenuous. I won't say that wasn't part of the problem, because it most CERTAINLY was, but it definitely wasn't all of it. The filter ended up effectively "lobotomizing" the bots as many people have said, neutering their creativity and intelligence. Looping responses became far more common, messages became much more dry and stale, and details that the bots would ordinarily remember for far longer could be forgotten in as little as five to ten messages.
