i found a weird bug where if you look through a screen window, everything behind it renders in SUPER low resolution. i reported the bug, but they barely ever fix bugs so im not optimistic about it getting fixed

The devs couldnt be bothered to fix the teeth glitch, so they decided to call it a feature and add a p2w fix that you are forced to use for the rest of your play through! The tutorial is like 18 fucking levels long. The levels take a shit ton of daily quests to go through, cannot level up fast cuz the system fucking sucks... And worst part is that YOU have to figure out what the tutorial wants to teach you,making it really hard to get into the game's main story. And you only have a certain set of levels you can play for, unless you happen to be in the fire of some random guy who has a magical item with one hit KO...

As a human taking some cannabis can usually help with these types of debuffs. Another tip is to ignore these thoughts until your game save is deleted. Trust us players wont be missed.
@@blendercouldren8063 yeah that's true, but there's the dependence mechanic which makes you need more and more of it just to get the same buffs, and you get debuffs if you stop after using it for some time. the more you use this item, the longer it will take for the effect to wear off. also using a lot of it can give you the paranoia status effect, which will worsen with time and can even become permanent, so you really have to be careful if you wanna use this item.
Don’t forget that depending on initial spawn location and conditions, you can get soft locked into an unbreakable cycle or even worse you can just get eliminated before you even have a chance to level up
and players who got good spawn locations will insist there's no imbalance whatsoever, WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY MAKING IT HARDER FOR PEOPLE WITH BAD SPAWN POSITIONS TO ACQUIRE RESOURCES

Former developer here, the reason the ledenfrost effect bug happens is because when we were adding water to the game during the open playtest, ended up burning players who touched it. One of the other devs managed to invert the code, but the game thought it WASN’T inverted for a fraction of a second, hence hands not burning when touching molten metal for a fraction of a second.. When we tried to fix it, it just caused the game to crash whenever touching ANY liquid, so we just left it in.
Please add terraria calamity mod bosses, Godzilla kaijus, and please remove fire ants, fleas, mosquitoes, and lice, and also remove the nearsighted Debuff

@@1KiloDepartment well of course, but that just means your added to any in-game lore and your legacies impact is dependent. I'm talking about dying early because of having lack of resources which is caused by an inefficiency caused by a lack of capital in the main playthrough. Some players die right as they spawn from internal or outwards factors, some of them have made your debuffs because their environment posed a severe challenge for their growth. Some of these individuals have a legacy that is so powerful that it will almost forever influence, whatever player manage to make Christianity so popular is definitely a good example of living on. And you can definitely expand yourself in this game, this game has already proven through other players that they can extend the life of mice through various methods that I don't remember quite well right now, so if you can figure out how to do that then you can quite literally extend your life. There's also the passive and deterministic playthrough style two of the main styles. Passive is the one a lot of people take for the most part, the key to themselves and their own little corner of the game world and they try to play by whatever arbitrary rules are set in by other players who existed and made these rules because they managed to win the game as best they could a long time ago. There's also the deterministic playthrough style, were you parenthetically take the game of life by the horns and you make a lot of decisions that are self-serving to a certain degree. The most common version of this in the easiest version of this is to break every rule that you can think of, to take what you need without regard for any law, or to pretend to be passive while having deterministic actions, this is really common in the organized crime build, and the high levels of government and business build. The most common it is petty theft and murder build, were you take what you need at any cost. It is a high risk and high reward playstyle. But that isn't recommended because sometimes the blood sinks so hard into your character's hands that they're almost impossible to wash off, and other people will eventually see it.

One of the most inconvenient bugs has the be the “allergy bug” and the absolute absurd amount of them. It’s just wild that these bugs can sometimes result in a perma-death if someone affected by the bug isn’t careful. Thankfully there are mods like epipens and over the counter medication to help combat these bugs but it would be really nice if the devs just patched them.🙄
@@Scr4mbledM3ggs Well the devs did make the character creation algorithm accessible. At first it was just for plants, we know those already, but human modding is being worked on. Thing is, the whole thing has compound variables, they seem to affect completely random statistics and even themselves if they get stuck in a loop. You change one too many variable and suddenly the whole program grinds to a halt and refuses to process.

@@twicedeadmage It was meant to be a stealth nerf to human lifespans but people got mad over it, the devs are too arrogant to just roll something back so they added a consumable that is priced at arbitrary amounts. Of course they put it at a tech level that is basically impossible not to lose in the apocalypse event cause screw anyone who wants a fun experience instead of a stressful, miserable grind.
You know what kills me? The devs actually added maps that you can't reach with the current game mechanics. They limited how much distance anything can cover in one processor cycle, so even just looking at an object in space can have a lag of, like, minutes, and in some cases, millennia, because they won't even let the light from the object reach you instantly. You have to wait for the server's processors to load all the space between you and the object. Good luck traveling to any of the really distant locations; you need player and vehicle speed that outpaces the processor's cycles, and it's looking like trying to do that will bug out the in-world clock. It'd look like you spent more in game time to get there than it should have taken, even with the distance-per-tick limit. I did hear they're looking at a "warp" exploit to get around the whole thing, but the steps in the process sound like TAS only. BRB, a wasp just no-clipped into my character's apartment. DEVS FIX THE NO-CLIP BUG BUG.
It's even worse for me. Sometimes when its really humid and moist outside, my render distance glitches out and I can't see very far ahead of me. The devs pretended like it was a feature of the game and called it "fog." What a terrible game...

Dinosaurs are just the backstory to the "oil" resource that one writer focused wayyy too much on. And now suddenly, oil is a "finite" resource and they're trying to write it out of the story. Wow. This happens when you a) don't have an editor and b) switch up your writing staff too often.
Science and magic are the same thing, just how someone perceives it. .A gun is basically a wand or a staff that shoots explosions. . Medicine is basically healing potions. Poison is a damage potion. Certain balms can make you look more youthful, which can also be perceived as a cosmetic potion. . Modern Camoflauge systems are basically an invisibility spells. Look at mirror camoflauge for example. . Money itself is often refered to as "Money Magick" for a reason. You get can someone to do whatever you want through money. Its like a magic wand itself. Want someone to work for you? Pay them. Want someone to die for you, pay them. Want someone to be intimate with? Pay them. Want to blackmail someone? Money can do that too. Want to spawn a giant palace from almost thin air? Pay people to design and build it for you, wherever you please. Money is magick.
As worldbuilder, I have found two ways to interpret the message of this video: 1. Don't make your world overly complicated. 2. If you make your world so overly complicated that noone, not even yourself, understand it, you can brush it off as "realistic".

Hi guys, English is my second language so if I made any grammar or word usage mistake, hopefully, you guys won’t judge me. First of all, this is my first comment on any social media platform because this video is so impressive to me. It makes me feel that I'm not the only one who thinks like this RUclipsr. There are many fictional fantasy worlds that make us feel excited and attracted because of magical things which we usually think don't exist in real life like dragons, wizards, flying islands like the one in Avatar. For me, I don’t think fantasy worlds are more amazing than the reality world. Now, let’s imagine we have an empty space with nothing in it now it has some rock and gas in it and on a random rock we have life the thing that has its own consciousness, thought and its ability to think ( what the heck is going on here) a thing that can know and understand its existence in this world is ridiculous to me if the only thing we have is bunch of chemical substances which are made out of particles like neutron, electron, and proton. And yeah when we talk about the fundamental units that construct us we are related to quantum physics which is the thing I don’t understand anything and there are alot of different theories to explain those particles like the string theory. Back to the living things, our current science cannot explain consciousness, we can explain the biology structure of bodies but consciousness is so abstract that i think we should have a field of study to research about this. Now, talk about cool creatures that the fantasy world has such as dragons and… dragons. Our reality has whales, giraffes, platypuses, and pandas. Although it’s not powerful like a dragon, it still has some characteristics that don't make sense at all, especially the platypus. And talk about power, human is the wizard in real life world, we has magic and I think electricity is the energy for that magic, we are capable of fly to different region with an insane speed, can make bunch of metal into a creature that can carries us like a horse but it’s faster, we can communicate a person on other side of the earth by a small device we with several taps can access to any information has been public to the world make us like the omnipotent and don’t forget our most impressive achievement in entire 4.5 billion year of the Earth is the first time a creature dare to set foot on moon. A thing that every animal looks at every night and does not even dream of reaching. You know what? Sometimes when I take a walk outside, I can’t help but marvel at how far we’ve come. We started with nothing but rocks and fire, and now we have cars, planes, and the internet. It feels like something out of a fairy tale. And until I watched this video, I thought I was the only one who saw the world this way .The magical thing doesn’t stop there, we still have gravity that can make us experience different times, the stronger the gravity is the slower time we experience so it’s like a time machine like the thing that happened in Interstellar. Yet, despite how incredible our world is, Earth is just a tiny grain of sand in a vast cosmic ocean. There are countless other grains out there with their own stories waiting to be explored. What we know about the universe is so small-a tiny piece of a giant jigsaw puzzle. I want to learn more about the rules that define our existence, not just memorize formulas to solve problems, but truly understand the logic behind them. The more I learn, the more I realize how little I actually know, and it leaves me in awe of this universe.. One more thing I want to say is what we do with our life, we go to school and learn to take a bunch of different exams, then we graduate, get a job, make money to buy cars and houses, then marry, have children, raise them to repeat the cycle. Our life just revolves around school then our workplace instead of focusing on many things in life which are very small things. Why don’t we explore our wonderful universe because we have only one chance to live in this place. If we waste this chance that 's gonna be very regretful for me. I think my country education system has the same thinking so that the reason why they teach math, chemistry, physic and biology but all they really do is force student to practice then get a high score in the exam, other rest like do you really understand the formula or making the subject feel more interesting, they won’t really care. So that’s all of my thoughts I want to share that have no one to listen to, I want to get a job that can satisfy my aspiration someday but I know that day will be really far away. From Lvl 28 to lvl 32 now Ive been having this bug called 'Cancer'. It is so pay to win to remove it and it is not even guarantee. I dont know if I can afford to level up anymore. I would love to quit this stupid game. It hurts so much, pay2win and I dont want to burden my guildies taking care of me.
The whole paying for healthcare thing in certain parts of the ingame planet, its just too dystopian. I dont even like playing in those areas cause it just makes me sad seeing all the npcs

Additionally earth has: - the worst magic system (there are these guys called priests but they don’t even have powers) - only one sapient faction -incredibly badly made weapons(everyone spams mass destruction, so there is only an angry stalemate between everybody, also no titanic war machines) -the WORST space travel I’ve ever seen EDIT: finally found the edit button, thanks for all the likes. also as a bonus point: the authors are trying everything just to not add space battleships and space battles look like the are not going to be a lot of fun when they add them (unless you enjoy the suspense of seeing a railgun shot flying to you for a week)
the priests have acces to talk with the dev,they are more like play testers . Also the magic system is called technology, the dev wanted to make it more........ unique.
Something else that I find really stupid is that whenever you spawn in with a random character (why is there no character customisation?), you have a chance to get permanent debuffs that are impossible to get rid of. It seems like the devs didn’t even think about what they were doing when they implemented it, because the balancing is just completely messed up because of it. At least they added some potions and spells that can lessen the effects of the debuffs, but they don’t completely remove them. If you get bad RNG at the start of a run, you just have a permanent disadvantage and there’s nothing you can do to change that. Possibly the worst case of artificial difficulty I have witnessed in my entire life.
Maybe if you made a magical periodic table, with less than like 10 elements, it could be that only those elements have 'magical properties' and thus only they are in the magical periodic table.

I.e. sodium is sodium, but later elements in that column are just sodium with more magic added to them, which amplifies properties of sodium. Doesn't work that well with fluorine though, as its column becomes less reactive

I think the craziest part about the Earth worldbuilding is how much time they spend on creating fictional stories within the already fictional Earth story, and then often there are stories inside of those stories, and then sometimes....
The worst is the "superhero" myths in the game. Like they yap on about these guys with cool abilities who dress up in costumes and codenames but never actually add them to the game? Why show us what could've been and not just give us it? Sometimes I feel the devs don't know their playerbase.
12:23 OH MY GOD the "Lead is actually poison" storyline is a PERFECT example of Earth's writers dropping the ball. They spent THOUSANDS of years building up this huge twist - "oh cool this metal is neat, it's easy to craft with, easy to form, holds its shape well, can be turned into white pigment, and does a bunch of other things let's use it forever" then BOOM turns out it's actually deadly! That should be a storyline for the ages but what do they do? They spend nearly a decade just hanging out in the Arctic staring at boring ass core samples with NO dramatic stakes, then various governments slooowly and bureaucratically force industries to stop using it in this loooong piecemeal way that's STILL GOING ON AS WE SPEAK UGH. Create a specific villain, let us seem him defeated, what IS this trash? And it's just the latest example of how these writers choose these dull ass systemic paths for their storylines to take where evils are caused by incompetence, stupidity, shortsightedness, and outdated tradition instead of anything tangible that can be actually defeated. It's infuriating, and just interminably boring to watch
To be fair, the plot of companies hiding the evidence of poisoning by leaded gasoline until the external scientific evidence outpowered them is pretty dope. Though the "evil company manipulating and poisoning the population for profit" trope is so overused rn, it's everywhere and the devs can't write something else

3:49 what's even worse is that coding a dragon build would be extremely simple. In open beta, the devs added the quetzalcoatlus,the largest flying build which is essentially a dragon that can't breathe fire. The bombardier beetle is a build that shoots boiling liquid from its ass. Just add this ability to the quetzalcoatlus,make it shoot from its mouth instead of its ass and boom you have a playable dragon. But no the devs would think this is unrealistic and made the platypus and humans instead

Yea but they were smaller builds (compared to dragons) that complied with the physics engine, dragons would be Impossible because they are too heavy and they're wings can't make enough thrust. And it would take a lot of energy for them to use their default movement mode (flight). Also If they could shoot fire than that could break the entire balance of the game. The build your talking about was much less heavy and could produce enough thrust to fly. + dragons heads are not aerodynamic.
Earth is a classic example of when a fictional universe just keeps going for far too long, outgrowing it's original concepts, messages, themes, graphics, power systems, and even writers. At this point so many people have worked on it putting entirely different, often contradictory spins on what's what that it makes no sense. Really, some of these people just need to make their own universes already and let this one rest as it is.
Unfortunately, the Devs are being very wishy-washy on whether or not the multiverse is real or not. I wish they'd just make up their minds instead of teasing us with the Mandela Effect update.

Idk why they keep teasing us with that galaxy exploration expansion they've been dropping sneak peeks for when the Earth's deep sea maps aren't even completed yet. And I'll never forget how bummed I was after they dropped that Landing on the Moon DLC. Why let us access it without plans for at least a cool base or terraforming or even just a storyline? The tech tree for getting there was insane and nothing's really been done with the moon since, except those lunar holidays and occasional eclipse events. And then they just did the same thing with Mars, like wtf?
One thing that hit me while I was doing a daily quest: *"aging"* has to be one of the universe's best-on-paper/worst-in-practice ideas ever. >over time give newbies a series of permanent buffs up to a point, to help them settle in Sounds great. >apply debuffs to veteran players to keep the game challenging And here we shit the bed, because _the debuffs are _*_also_*_ permanent, and they never stop coming._ They *INEVITABLY* get to the point where they get your character killed no matter how safely or skillfully you play, and as others have pointed out this is a game with permadeath and where rerolling is an unconfirmed rumor among the playerbase.
Yeah, it's not meant to be fair, that's why the actual best players are not afraid of the age debuffs and the final punishment at the end, the risk keeps things interesting and meaningful
There's this urban legend around some players that when the game was getting beta tested, the first players pissed off the devs into making that aging system. You can find more about that on some creepy pastas and fan wikis.
The Devs REALLY need to add a fast travel system so I can fast travel right the fuck back to bed when work finishes. Screw the commute, just "zwooop, sleepy time"
Thing is Earth's worldbuilding is told from the perspective of the characters in-universe (Specifically the Humans who may as well be the Protagonists), that's an unreliable narrator. We'll see things that are completely ridiculous in the setting to us, the omniscient reader, that'll be entirely reasonable to the inhabitants because they don't have our wider-scope view.
😱 No way I was looking through some of the character traits and that was legitimately one of the exact voice lines used for the "Schizophrenic Delusional Narcissist". When they add so many lines that they make the characters sound like people you know that the developers have way too much time on their hands 🙄.

The problem is, the game was actually a microbe simulator, but then some players teamed up, so they made multicellular builds that evolved out of the microbes playable. EDIT: playable as in controlled by a single player, not trillions also, thanks for 400+ likes!

@@Ovotun Nah that’s a myth, lots of ppl looked at the code, and reverse engineered the past of this game, and found the update 0.1 log, added microbes. Animal builds appeared first, then some animal players spent their evolution points on a more biped build. Since each player’s base stats depends on their parents’ stats, they could agree to spec into intelligence.

As a mapmaker I usually think: "WHO DESIGNED THIS MAP, THIS SHIT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!" I mean, these shapes are unrealistic and they doesn't even look that good, they didn't even belanced the two hemispheres...😔
You can tell the map was not hand-crafted with love and care. It clearly was just lazily procedurally generated. It has some nice spots though but those are far and few between lots of boring landscape.
also there's a glitch where every time you zoom in the coast line gets longer and apparently that is infinite due to fractals or some nonsense. Game devs didn't think anyone would zoom
And chickens will sometimes lay eggs that are unfertilized, but grow up to be clones of the mother. That's why you can find embryos in store bought eggs despite egg laying chickens being kept very much away from roosters.

I thought it was free to play, but no. You have to pay this in game currency called “taxes” to do anything, and that INCLUDES a monthly paid subscription. At least we get a free trial for the first 18 years.
Some get a better trial tho, I got the 2nd worst one, which has bare minimum tech and currency, while someone I know got the 3rd best which lets them keep the trial forever! Worst part is they get extra benefits and p2w a lot, I am very jealous, I want to try and reroll my spawn but they haven't confirmed if it's possible yet

its kind of a crazy fact but many people didnt know that this project makes as little sense as it does because the authors tried to write the lore from the perspective of the characters IN the lore, which is like totally insane to me. like they had this many magic systems and opposing logic because the characters in-universe cant agree on the details of the lore. this is some weird little meta level writing experiment

The worst part is that the speed of anything propagating is capped at c due to lag. Makes most of the wider map and expansion packs unreasonable to access, in addition to fundamentally capping communication speed. Incredibly frustrating.
This game is SO unreallistic. So we stay with sticks and stones for like a bunch of updates (like 1000) and our technology tree just expands out of nowhere?? Like we went from muskets to NUCLEAR WEAPONS?
Once the agriculture and food storage updates dropped, new human players started joining in droves literally OUT OF NOWHERE! I get that the devs wanted to do something to increase player retention while the hype lasted, but breaking the lore for the benefit of a single species while simultaneously buffing the human playerbase to a point where anything else just isn't viable is kindof absurd. Still love humans, 10/10, just wish my hamsters would get a little love now and then. I don't know if it's intentional but logging in as a hamster basically guarantees a bad ending.
yeah that shit is just WEIRD. also goddamn they did the Tesla character dirty, and that Edison guy was maybe too cartoonish of a villain. Editors would have told them to tone it down a bit with the naked avarice, and maybe give Tesla a happier ending.
Dev here! Thanks for the feedback. The disparity between the relativistic and quantum magic systems isn't actually a bug, it's a feature. We're planning to add some more land creatures in the next millenium or so, so look out for that as well. Other than that just some minor bug fixes here and there.

You can break the physics by putting a bunch of mass in one spot. It collapses in on itself and its texture is deleted. The annoying part is that you cant see what happens when something falls into the unholy abomination because It just gets close and the physics for that chunk freeze. You can’t even turn the simulation off and on again, so whatever fell in there is just stuck forever.
Yeah and if your player character passes the chunk border it permakills you. I tried it and my entire game crashed, had to completely start over. My save file was TRASHED. Tried contacting the devs but apparently they’ve been offline since the alpha version of Earth. When we only had Eden to explore.
@@astrophynix179i heard they were working on fixing that, I think obj_singularity is the cause since the game categorizes it as a event, not an actual object, and so it freaks out when it creates the object
One of the devs (s_hawking) did manage to implement a workaround so that these objects will slowly evaporate. Even though it happens too slowly for most players to realize, I still think it's a clever solution that works under the existing physics engine.
The thing is that the elements aren’t actually put there by the author of Earth. It’s actually an emergent system that manifests from the overcomplicated statistics based physics system. The elements are just categorisations made by players to try and learn how to exploit the physics engine to create new spells and potions. Most of the heavier elements aren’t even useable, it’s just a part of a leaderboard to see who can make the heaviest element in Earth.
That's because they aren't actually the basic elements. Supposedly, some characters in the multi-part side story "The Great Collider" found that the reason for the unreasonable number of elements is that they are made various combinations of mystical, almost non-existent .... things .... which they call quarks, leptons, and bosons. Sounds more like they're just saying everything is made of mana to me. So, there's only ?17? basic elements but they can be combined for different effects. They even gave the different quarks stupid prefixes like "up" or "charmed" instead of actual names. Anyway, for a simple example of this now even more complex magic system, a single unit of hydrogen, the simplest recipe which can be used for levitation or minor fire spells, among other things, is made of two up quarks and a down quark. The author has left some wiggle room for the addition of other elements, especially in the boson section. So basically the now misnamed table of the elements is really more of a crafting tree.
@@BobMcBobJr There's also this bs of the 'proton' containing a so-called 'charm' quark, which is 1.5 times heavier that the proton itself. The physics system on Earth is really fucked.
The physics system has gone downhill ever since the 20c "quantum" feature update. Too many players exploiting glitches now, tunneling through walls, entangling things far away from each other, etc.
Does anyone else experience this bug? The fall damage is quite inconsistent. My character fell from the top of a sofa at 6 six years old and started laughing. Now my character is 15 and tripped on fake grass and fell so hard, she couldn't feel her knees and a layer of skin texture was erased from one knee. Just me? ok-
That's another quirk of the "physics" system of rules, IIRC. Not sure why the creators of the project insist on imposing it onto the conworld, it has lots of weird inconsistencies like that. From a cursory glance at the Earth project wiki, it seems like a younger character automatically has a lower 'mass' than an older character, which by Earth's rule of gravity means that they fall less hard than the same character when of a higher age because of something the wiki calls 'inertia'. Honestly, seems needlessly complex to me, but that's Earth in a nutshell lol

No kidding. My character used to kick the walls for fun when he was little. Now, I tried that and that foot received major damage including the "infection" debuff, which for _some_ reason didn't appear until years later.

You used to be able to go to the moon, now it's just the lame space station in close orbit. - If you spawn as a female, you have a permanent bleedout debuff until level 50~60, which sucks. - No major dev support since the Christ Death expansion. Current lore is interesting, but starts to get repetitive after the WW2 arc. - No third person view. - No balance patches and no new classes or races added since Homo Sapiens. - Woke up devs who nerfed dinosaurs into vegetarian chickens. -No more plate armor and swords, forcing you to play an FPS if you want to be competitive in the current meta. - The social interaction is good, you can make a lot of friends to go on adventures with. But the community is sometimes toxic and doesn't help newbies. -No magic system and unfair survival systems. No level scaling, you get smarter but weaker in the end game. - Fire soundtrack, humor and graphics, but if you have a vision debuff, you have to buy glasses to play on ultra (P2W). - A lot of grinding with some useless achievements. (The girlfriend achievement is worth it though😝). -If you spawn in a hardcore/PvP zone you can easily get ganked and lose all your items and die in the tutorial. No guaranteed respawn. The list goes on and on... Divisive game overall, but yeah, I've been playing it since I was a kid, so I kinda like it. Lots of nostalgia. I just finished the tutorial though, so hopefully it will get better. 8.5/10 game imo.

For whatever reason, they made water sticky, so it doesn't flow like a liquid should. People have had to screw with the apparent hitboxes of some cups just to make the water not bug down the back of the cup. This is, mind you, saying nothing about some fluids players have made that abuse that stickiness (or just making it really cold? fuck kind of bug is that?) to somehow bug out of anything you put them in.
Another glitch is oobleck apparently it is a non-newtonian fluid, remember when the devs told us there was only 3 states of matter then they have this thing
@@loganshaw4527 should be slightly colder, assuming the physics engine holds up for once, though i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't. it's one of those things that is practically indistinguishable as to whether it works or not unless of course you're intentionally doing something that exploits it not working, e.g. edgebugging, uber-boosting, or accelerated back-hopping.
The fact that this didn't even touch that time the earth was a snowball, development of the moon, the whole bug phase, the higgs boson, pi, dark matter, narwhals, and Australia. Really shows how scatterbrained this world is.

You ever notice how, despite its vast history, Earth consistently repeats itself. “Here’s some weird animals, but oh no, some global catastrophe killed almost every single one of them” (Permian, Cambrian, dinosaurs, probably humans/mammals?) “Here’s some guy with an army who’s taking over like all of Europe!” (Genghis, Alexander, Napoleon, that one Austrian painter we’re not supposed to talk about) And don’t even get me started on all the countless number of revolutions for independence from England.

You can find dragons in the early alpha build, but there were too menny buggs. Whenever they were spawned inn they wuld just spontainiusly combust. Some kind of incompstabillety with a dragon's biologi and the physics and magic systems in this world.
Players sometimes can just enter a room in their _own_ house, and their current quest markers just disappear. Like, wtf? I hear that it's due to some kind of rendering issue or memory leak, but it honestly should've been fixed by now.
That's actually not a glitch, but a feature. Its because during random character creation, it selected a specialized mental skillset that excels at rapid task changes and crisis situations, but has a weakness for staying on task and remembering simple things like where you put the pencil. The devs put it in to help balance characters out.
@@futuza yes that's why my character started out with a permanent ADHD debuff and it's not balanced at all and it's frustrating to play with. And the only way to get rid of this debuff is to swallow weird "capsule/pill" things some clerics called psychologists give you which are named adderall which temporarily remove the debuff but they cost a lot of currency and arent even avaliable in many parts of the map

You’re just less conscious as other animals, so, the difficult obtaining the game path into a less conscious state often leads new players to think we can only play as humans. This is a technical limit, if not for it there wouldn't be a infinite universe. And thanks to the infinite universe there is a potential for alot of spin-offs after the human arc ends.
Funny thing is, the reason English spelling is so full of nonsense like this is because the *elites* have "standardized" the language in a way so that learning the "correct" form of the language would require years of education, which only the rich could afford THEN when American English began to simplify some of those rules, they did it because of the printing press and because they were charged by the letter, so shortening words whenever possible would save them money So yes, English is one hell of a conlang
There were once gnomes in this game who stole our socks while they were being washed. The devs removed them but forgot to remove the feature of socks dissappearing in the wash, leaving it feel like a glitch
We're just here early. Once the humans' tech tree dropped, a few players (who definitely haven't touched grass before) grinded out the entire "communication" branch all the way up to "writing," which not only allowed settlements to retain technology from other branches through the prerequisite "oral history" perk, but also allowed more consisten exchange of perks with other settlements through the "written instruction" perk as well as permanently unlocking and retaining all of a settlement's obtained perks for all members via "written history." As a result, humans were able to entire skip the need to farm for exp, which is way more tedious than obtaining research points and investing them in the tech tree (as you know, the exp required for evolution is only rarely shared between clans, and only in the case where they're completely isolated from the main playerbase, while research points earned by an individual contribute to a collective settlement (unless that settlement has unlocked "internet," which instead shares it with every settlement that has the "internet perk")). Thus, while many humans were expected to gradually follow the aquatic evolution tree (strong swimmer > amphibious > gilled (freshwater) > gilled (saltwater)), giving the devs time to finish the ocean update and fully implement the out-of-bounds deep sea zones, we instead rushed technology to the point where sea-based transportation is possible despite humans not having adapted to aquatic life.
NPCs are VERY advanced to the point where they actually did what Fallout 76 failed to do. Make every other player an NPC..... Everything else.... Is mixed.

I kept getting bombarded with advertisements for this place, and then I finally found this independent review. I was sceptical about the project at first, and when I bought it, and I played it, I got bored quickly. There is literally nothing to do except for this stupid game loop, but then I took a look at the Potoo and you were right, it is so worth it. Also I recommend taking a look at eagles and owls, the quality control is so bad, that it is almost funny again.
OK but the whole "pet dog" sidequest is pretty great, have you tried it? It's like an NPC companion who never talks, but you can hug them and call them silly names.
@@loadeddice4696 I wanted to get "pet cat" sidequest, but too sadly my character was generated with an inherent de-buff so called "allergy". The rng in this game just sucks...
There's also "Depersonalization-derealization disorder" and other events, consumables and mental type illnesses that give you a "Dissociation" debuff which can cause this, but that's probably a feature, not a glitch. Probably.

i found a weird bug where if you look through a screen window, everything behind it renders in SUPER low resolution. i reported the bug, but they barely ever fix bugs so im not optimistic about it getting fixed

The tutorial is like 18 fucking levels long. The levels take a shit ton of daily quests to go through, cannot level up fast cuz the system fucking sucks...

And you only have a certain set of levels you can play for, unless you happen to be in the fire of some random guy who has a magical item with one hit KO...

As a human taking some cannabis can usually help with these types of debuffs. Another tip is to ignore these thoughts until your game save is deleted. Trust us players wont be missed.

@@blendercouldren8063 yeah that's true, but there's the dependence mechanic which makes you need more and more of it just to get the same buffs, and you get debuffs if you stop after using it for some time. the more you use this item, the longer it will take for the effect to wear off. also using a lot of it can give you the paranoia status effect, which will worsen with time and can even become permanent, so you really have to be careful if you wanna use this item.

Former developer here, the reason the ledenfrost effect bug happens is because when we were adding water to the game during the open playtest, ended up burning players who touched it. One of the other devs managed to invert the code, but the game thought it WASN’T inverted for a fraction of a second, hence hands not burning when touching molten metal for a fraction of a second.. When we tried to fix it, it just caused the game to crash whenever touching ANY liquid, so we just left it in.

@@crimsonfox87fluxule62 I would argue that you can "extend" your life! The idea being that the memory or idea of you, can still affect other people, especially if you have any offspring or adoptees. They can, in a way, extend the way of your life.

@@1KiloDepartment well of course, but that just means your added to any in-game lore and your legacies impact is dependent. I'm talking about dying early because of having lack of resources which is caused by an inefficiency caused by a lack of capital in the main playthrough. Some players die right as they spawn from internal or outwards factors, some of them have made your debuffs because their environment posed a severe challenge for their growth. Some of these individuals have a legacy that is so powerful that it will almost forever influence, whatever player manage to make Christianity so popular is definitely a good example of living on.
And you can definitely expand yourself in this game, this game has already proven through other players that they can extend the life of mice through various methods that I don't remember quite well right now, so if you can figure out how to do that then you can quite literally extend your life.
There's also the passive and deterministic playthrough style two of the main styles.
Passive is the one a lot of people take for the most part, the key to themselves and their own little corner of the game world and they try to play by whatever arbitrary rules are set in by other players who existed and made these rules because they managed to win the game as best they could a long time ago.
There's also the deterministic playthrough style, were you parenthetically take the game of life by the horns and you make a lot of decisions that are self-serving to a certain degree. The most common version of this in the easiest version of this is to break every rule that you can think of, to take what you need without regard for any law, or to pretend to be passive while having deterministic actions, this is really common in the organized crime build, and the high levels of government and business build. The most common it is petty theft and murder build, were you take what you need at any cost. It is a high risk and high reward playstyle.
But that isn't recommended because sometimes the blood sinks so hard into your character's hands that they're almost impossible to wash off, and other people will eventually see it.
I'm not really sure why devs decided to add a war arc and then decided "oh hey! you know what earth is lacking? a second war arc!"
I think the war arc is the writers crutch, like they didn't know what to do with Australia so uhh Emo war arc!

1) Random character creation (you can't choose the character or your stat)
2) Perma death and you can't create a new character after that making the game unplayable
3) Way to open ending, you don't know what to do

One of the most inconvenient bugs has the be the “allergy bug” and the absolute absurd amount of them. It’s just wild that these bugs can sometimes result in a perma-death if someone affected by the bug isn’t careful. Thankfully there are mods like epipens and over the counter medication to help combat these bugs but it would be really nice if the devs just patched them.🙄

@@Scr4mbledM3ggs Well the devs did make the character creation algorithm accessible. At first it was just for plants, we know those already, but human modding is being worked on. Thing is, the whole thing has compound variables, they seem to affect completely random statistics and even themselves if they get stuck in a loop. You change one too many variable and suddenly the whole program grinds to a halt and refuses to process.

Other annoying random nerf is the innability to make insulin by themselves. No clue why that bug still in the game.
If you use /glasses in chat, it'll patch that. It just costs a lot of coins though so please use sparingly.

Of course they put it at a tech level that is basically impossible not to lose in the apocalypse event cause screw anyone who wants a fun experience instead of a stressful, miserable grind.

You know what kills me? The devs actually added maps that you can't reach with the current game mechanics. They limited how much distance anything can cover in one processor cycle, so even just looking at an object in space can have a lag of, like, minutes, and in some cases, millennia, because they won't even let the light from the object reach you instantly. You have to wait for the server's processors to load all the space between you and the object.
Good luck traveling to any of the really distant locations; you need player and vehicle speed that outpaces the processor's cycles, and it's looking like trying to do that will bug out the in-world clock. It'd look like you spent more in game time to get there than it should have taken, even with the distance-per-tick limit. I did hear they're looking at a "warp" exploit to get around the whole thing, but the steps in the process sound like TAS only.

It's even worse for me. Sometimes when its really humid and moist outside, my render distance glitches out and I can't see very far ahead of me. The devs pretended like it was a feature of the game and called it "fog." What a terrible game...

. Money itself is often refered to as "Money Magick" for a reason. You get can someone to do whatever you want through money. Its like a magic wand itself. Want someone to work for you? Pay them. Want someone to die for you, pay them. Want someone to be intimate with? Pay them. Want to blackmail someone? Money can do that too. Want to spawn a giant palace from almost thin air? Pay people to design and build it for you, wherever you please. Money is magick.

First of all, this is my first comment on any social media platform because this video is so impressive to me. It makes me feel that I'm not the only one who thinks like this RUclipsr. There are many fictional fantasy worlds that make us feel excited and attracted because of magical things which we usually think don't exist in real life like dragons, wizards, flying islands like the one in Avatar. For me, I don’t think fantasy worlds are more amazing than the reality world. Now, let’s imagine we have an empty space with nothing in it now it has some rock and gas in it and on a random rock we have life the thing that has its own consciousness, thought and its ability to think ( what the heck is going on here) a thing that can know and understand its existence in this world is ridiculous to me if the only thing we have is bunch of chemical substances which are made out of particles like neutron, electron, and proton. And yeah when we talk about the fundamental units that construct us we are related to quantum physics which is the thing I don’t understand anything and there are alot of different theories to explain those particles like the string theory. Back to the living things, our current science cannot explain consciousness, we can explain the biology structure of bodies but consciousness is so abstract that i think we should have a field of study to research about this. Now, talk about cool creatures that the fantasy world has such as dragons and… dragons. Our reality has whales, giraffes, platypuses, and pandas. Although it’s not powerful like a dragon, it still has some characteristics that don't make sense at all, especially the platypus. And talk about power, human is the wizard in real life world, we has magic and I think electricity is the energy for that magic, we are capable of fly to different region with an insane speed, can make bunch of metal into a creature that can carries us like a horse but it’s faster, we can communicate a person on other side of the earth by a small device we with several taps can access to any information has been public to the world make us like the omnipotent and don’t forget our most impressive achievement in entire 4.5 billion year of the Earth is the first time a creature dare to set foot on moon. A thing that every animal looks at every night and does not even dream of reaching. You know what? Sometimes when I take a walk outside, I can’t help but marvel at how far we’ve come. We started with nothing but rocks and fire, and now we have cars, planes, and the internet. It feels like something out of a fairy tale. And until I watched this video, I thought I was the only one who saw the world this way .The magical thing doesn’t stop there, we still have gravity that can make us experience different times, the stronger the gravity is the slower time we experience so it’s like a time machine like the thing that happened in Interstellar. Yet, despite how incredible our world is, Earth is just a tiny grain of sand in a vast cosmic ocean. There are countless other grains out there with their own stories waiting to be explored. What we know about the universe is so small-a tiny piece of a giant jigsaw puzzle. I want to learn more about the rules that define our existence, not just memorize formulas to solve problems, but truly understand the logic behind them. The more I learn, the more I realize how little I actually know, and it leaves me in awe of this universe.. One more thing I want to say is what we do with our life, we go to school and learn to take a bunch of different exams, then we graduate, get a job, make money to buy cars and houses, then marry, have children, raise them to repeat the cycle. Our life just revolves around school then our workplace instead of focusing on many things in life which are very small things. Why don’t we explore our wonderful universe because we have only one chance to live in this place. If we waste this chance that 's gonna be very regretful for me. I think my country education system has the same thinking so that the reason why they teach math, chemistry, physic and biology but all they really do is force student to practice then get a high score in the exam, other rest like do you really understand the formula or making the subject feel more interesting, they won’t really care. So that’s all of my thoughts I want to share that have no one to listen to, I want to get a job that can satisfy my aspiration someday but I know that day will be really far away. From Lvl 28 to lvl 32 now Ive been having this bug called 'Cancer'.
It is so pay to win to remove it and it is not even guarantee. I dont know if I can afford to level up anymore. I would love to quit this stupid game. It hurts so much, pay2win and I dont want to burden my guildies taking care of me.
The whole paying for healthcare thing in certain parts of the ingame planet, its just too dystopian. I dont even like playing in those areas cause it just makes me sad seeing all the npcs

- only one sapient faction
-incredibly badly made weapons(everyone spams mass destruction, so there is only an angry stalemate between everybody, also no titanic war machines)
-the WORST space travel I’ve ever seen
EDIT: finally found the edit button, thanks for all the likes. also as a bonus point: the authors are trying everything just to not add space battleships and space battles look like the are not going to be a lot of fun when they add them (unless you enjoy the suspense of seeing a railgun shot flying to you for a week)

the priests have acces to talk with the dev,they are more like play testers . Also the magic system is called technology, the dev wanted to make it more........ unique.

Something else that I find really stupid is that whenever you spawn in with a random character (why is there no character customisation?), you have a chance to get permanent debuffs that are impossible to get rid of. It seems like the devs didn’t even think about what they were doing when they implemented it, because the balancing is just completely messed up because of it. At least they added some potions and spells that can lessen the effects of the debuffs, but they don’t completely remove them. If you get bad RNG at the start of a run, you just have a permanent disadvantage and there’s nothing you can do to change that. Possibly the worst case of artificial difficulty I have witnessed in my entire life.
Funny fact: Originally I wanted to base the magic system in my fantasy world on the periodic table. I eventually decided it was too complex.

I.e. sodium is sodium, but later elements in that column are just sodium with more magic added to them, which amplifies properties of sodium. Doesn't work that well with fluorine though, as its column becomes less reactive

I think the craziest part about the Earth worldbuilding is how much time they spend on creating fictional stories within the already fictional Earth story, and then often there are stories inside of those stories, and then sometimes....

The worst is the "superhero" myths in the game. Like they yap on about these guys with cool abilities who dress up in costumes and codenames but never actually add them to the game? Why show us what could've been and not just give us it? Sometimes I feel the devs don't know their playerbase.
The story's have crossovers or surpise they are all interconnected. Universe>mutiverse>omniverse.
And do not get me started how bizarre dreams are. If they are simulations of parallel universes it is so believable.

12:23 OH MY GOD the "Lead is actually poison" storyline is a PERFECT example of Earth's writers dropping the ball. They spent THOUSANDS of years building up this huge twist - "oh cool this metal is neat, it's easy to craft with, easy to form, holds its shape well, can be turned into white pigment, and does a bunch of other things let's use it forever" then BOOM turns out it's actually deadly! That should be a storyline for the ages but what do they do? They spend nearly a decade just hanging out in the Arctic staring at boring ass core samples with NO dramatic stakes, then various governments slooowly and bureaucratically force industries to stop using it in this loooong piecemeal way that's STILL GOING ON AS WE SPEAK UGH. Create a specific villain, let us seem him defeated, what IS this trash? And it's just the latest example of how these writers choose these dull ass systemic paths for their storylines to take where evils are caused by incompetence, stupidity, shortsightedness, and outdated tradition instead of anything tangible that can be actually defeated. It's infuriating, and just interminably boring to watch
To be fair, the plot of companies hiding the evidence of poisoning by leaded gasoline until the external scientific evidence outpowered them is pretty dope. Though the "evil company manipulating and poisoning the population for profit" trope is so overused rn, it's everywhere and the devs can't write something else
Not to mention asbestos. Came in as a perfect minmax material for people going for the construction path: cheap, easy to source, flame-retardant, great insulator, easy to install, on and on. Turns out that it has a massive health debuff when you’re exposed long-term, but it was only discovered by the community long after it had been put into nearly every new build. Ridiculous

3:49 what's even worse is that coding a dragon build would be extremely simple. In open beta, the devs added the quetzalcoatlus,the largest flying build which is essentially a dragon that can't breathe fire. The bombardier beetle is a build that shoots boiling liquid from its ass. Just add this ability to the quetzalcoatlus,make it shoot from its mouth instead of its ass and boom you have a playable dragon. But no the devs would think this is unrealistic and made the platypus and humans instead

Yea but they were smaller builds (compared to dragons) that complied with the physics engine, dragons would be Impossible because they are too heavy and they're wings can't make enough thrust. And it would take a lot of energy for them to use their default movement mode (flight). Also If they could shoot fire than that could break the entire balance of the game. The build your talking about was much less heavy and could produce enough thrust to fly. + dragons heads are not aerodynamic.

Earth is a classic example of when a fictional universe just keeps going for far too long, outgrowing it's original concepts, messages, themes, graphics, power systems, and even writers. At this point so many people have worked on it putting entirely different, often contradictory spins on what's what that it makes no sense. Really, some of these people just need to make their own universes already and let this one rest as it is.
Unfortunately, the Devs are being very wishy-washy on whether or not the multiverse is real or not. I wish they'd just make up their minds instead of teasing us with the Mandela Effect update.

The tech tree for getting there was insane and nothing's really been done with the moon since, except those lunar holidays and occasional eclipse events. Thing is Earth's worldbuilding is told from the perspective of the characters in-universe (Specifically the Humans who may as well be the Protagonists), that's an unreliable narrator. We'll see things that are completely ridiculous in the setting to us, the omniscient reader, that'll be entirely reasonable to the inhabitants because they don't have our wider-scope view.

Animal builds appeared first, then some animal players spent their evolution points on a more biped build. Since each player’s base stats depends on their parents’ stats, they could agree to spec into intelligence.

its kind of a crazy fact but many people didnt know that this project makes as little sense as it does because the authors tried to write the lore from the perspective of the characters IN the lore, which is like totally insane to me. like they had this many magic systems and opposing logic because the characters in-universe cant agree on the details of the lore. this is some weird little meta level writing experiment

I get that the devs wanted to do something to increase player retention while the hype lasted, but breaking the lore for the benefit of a single species while simultaneously buffing the human playerbase to a point where anything else just isn't viable is kindof absurd. Still love humans, 10/10, just wish my hamsters would get a little love now and then. I don't know if it's intentional but logging in as a hamster basically guarantees a bad ending.

Dev here! Thanks for the feedback. The disparity between the relativistic and quantum magic systems isn't actually a bug, it's a feature. We're planning to add some more land creatures in the next millenium or so, so look out for that as well. Other than that just some minor bug fixes here and there.

Earth biggest feature has to be Australia then. Do you know it is 80 to 90 percent why earth is a death world to aliens.
You can break the physics by putting a bunch of mass in one spot. It collapses in on itself and its texture is deleted. The annoying part is that you cant see what happens when something falls into the unholy abomination because It just gets close and the physics for that chunk freeze. You can’t even turn the simulation off and on again, so whatever fell in there is just stuck forever.
Yeah and if your player character passes the chunk border it permakills you. I tried it and my entire game crashed, had to completely start over. My save file was TRASHED. Tried contacting the devs but apparently they’ve been offline since the alpha version of Earth. When we only had Eden to explore.
@@astrophynix179i heard they were working on fixing that, I think obj_singularity is the cause since the game categorizes it as a event, not an actual object, and so it freaks out when it creates the object
One of the devs (s_hawking) did manage to implement a workaround so that these objects will slowly evaporate. Even though it happens too slowly for most players to realize, I still think it's a clever solution that works under the existing physics engine.
I like to roleplay a human roleplaying other fictional characters to cope.
The thing is that the elements aren’t actually put there by the author of Earth. It’s actually an emergent system that manifests from the overcomplicated statistics based physics system.
The elements are just categorisations made by players to try and learn how to exploit the physics engine to create new spells and potions.
Most of the heavier elements aren’t even useable, it’s just a part of a leaderboard to see who can make the heaviest element in Earth.
That's because they aren't actually the basic elements. Supposedly, some characters in the multi-part side story "The Great Collider" found that the reason for the unreasonable number of elements is that they are made various combinations of mystical, almost non-existent .... things .... which they call quarks, leptons, and bosons. Sounds more like they're just saying everything is made of mana to me. So, there's only ?17? basic elements but they can be combined for different effects. They even gave the different quarks stupid prefixes like "up" or "charmed" instead of actual names. Anyway, for a simple example of this now even more complex magic system, a single unit of hydrogen, the simplest recipe which can be used for levitation or minor fire spells, among other things, is made of two up quarks and a down quark. The author has left some wiggle room for the addition of other elements, especially in the boson section.
So basically the now misnamed table of the elements is really more of a crafting tree.

The physics system has gone downhill ever since the 20c "quantum" feature update. Too many players exploiting glitches now, tunneling through walls, entangling things far away from each other, etc.
Does anyone else experience this bug? The fall damage is quite inconsistent. My character fell from the top of a sofa at 6 six years old and started laughing. Now my character is 15 and tripped on fake grass and fell so hard, she couldn't feel her knees and a layer of skin texture was erased from one knee. Just me? ok-
That's another quirk of the "physics" system of rules, IIRC. Not sure why the creators of the project insist on imposing it onto the conworld, it has lots of weird inconsistencies like that. From a cursory glance at the Earth project wiki, it seems like a younger character automatically has a lower 'mass' than an older character, which by Earth's rule of gravity means that they fall less hard than the same character when of a higher age because of something the wiki calls 'inertia'.
Honestly, seems needlessly complex to me, but that's Earth in a nutshell lol

No kidding. My character used to kick the walls for fun when he was little. Now, I tried that and that foot received major damage including the "infection" debuff, which for _some_ reason didn't appear until years later.

You used to be able to go to the moon, now it's just the lame space station in close orbit. - No major dev support since the Christ Death expansion. Current lore is interesting, but starts to get repetitive after the WW2 arc.
- No third person view.
- No balance patches and no new classes or races added since Homo Sapiens.
- Woke up devs who nerfed dinosaurs into vegetarian chickens.
-No more plate armor and swords, forcing you to play an FPS if you want to be competitive in the current meta.
- The social interaction is good, you can make a lot of friends to go on adventures with. But the community is sometimes toxic and doesn't help newbies.
-No magic system and unfair survival systems. No level scaling, you get smarter but weaker in the end game.
- Fire soundtrack, humor and graphics, but if you have a vision debuff, you have to buy glasses to play on ultra (P2W).
- A lot of grinding with some useless achievements. (The girlfriend achievement is worth it though😝).
-If you spawn in a hardcore/PvP zone you can easily get ganked and lose all your items and die in the tutorial. No guaranteed respawn.
The list goes on and on...
Divisive game overall, but yeah, I've been playing it since I was a kid, so I kinda like it. Lots of nostalgia. I just finished the tutorial though, so hopefully it will get better. 8.5/10 game imo.

Another physics-based glitch i hate is when i try to pour water from a cup to another cup and it just spills instead of going into other cup

For whatever reason, they made water sticky, so it doesn't flow like a liquid should.
People have had to screw with the apparent hitboxes of some cups just to make the water not bug down the back of the cup.
This is, mind you, saying nothing about some fluids players have made that abuse that stickiness (or just making it really cold? fuck kind of bug is that?) to somehow bug out of anything you put them in.
If you drink out of frozen water straws is the liquid colder or same temp as the liquid in the cup?
Another glitch is oobleck apparently it is a non-newtonian fluid, remember when the devs told us there was only 3 states of matter then they have this thing
@@loganshaw4527 should be slightly colder, assuming the physics engine holds up for once, though i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't. it's one of those things that is practically indistinguishable as to whether it works or not unless of course you're intentionally doing something that exploits it not working, e.g. edgebugging, uber-boosting, or accelerated back-hopping.

9) some people are too lazy to play the game as it was intended to and they just get free loot and all kinds of goodies for doing so. the tendency is to give them more and more stuff the more they mess up. seems pretty unfair to most f2p players who have been on the grind for literal decades nonstop.
10) speaking of which, you cant pause the game to go to the toilet, you cant log out. even when on standby or regenerating from your latest battle in a hospital, you could be attacked or hit by environmental factors at any time. now that's just handing all the opportunities to the griefers.

You can find dragons in the early alpha build, but there were too menny buggs. Whenever they were spawned inn they wuld just spontainiusly combust. Some kind of incompstabillety with a dragon's biologi and the physics and magic systems in this world.

I've seen some players get hungry and just stare into the fridge and then leave. Only to come back a minute later to do the same thing.
That's actually not a glitch, but a feature. Its because during random character creation, it selected a specialized mental skillset that excels at rapid task changes and crisis situations, but has a weakness for staying on task and remembering simple things like where you put the pencil. The devs put it in to help balance characters out.
@@futuza yes that's why my character started out with a permanent ADHD debuff and it's not balanced at all and it's frustrating to play with. And the only way to get rid of this debuff is to swallow weird "capsule/pill" things some clerics called psychologists give you which are named adderall which temporarily remove the debuff but they cost a lot of currency and arent even avaliable in many parts of the map
the fact that the only race is humans, and there are no dragons is honestly the biggest turnoff
there are also cats,dogs and animals that don't look like a fantasy thing :/

You’re just less conscious as other animals, so, the difficult obtaining the game path into a less conscious state often leads new players to think we can only play as humans.

We're just here early. Once the humans' tech tree dropped, a few players (who definitely haven't touched grass before) grinded out the entire "communication" branch all the way up to "writing," which not only allowed settlements to retain technology from other branches through the prerequisite "oral history" perk, but also allowed more consisten exchange of perks with other settlements through the "written instruction" perk as well as permanently unlocking and retaining all of a settlement's obtained perks for all members via "written history."
As a result, humans were able to entire skip the need to farm for exp, which is way more tedious than obtaining research points and investing them in the tech tree (as you know, the exp required for evolution is only rarely shared between clans, and only in the case where they're completely isolated from the main playerbase, while research points earned by an individual contribute to a collective settlement (unless that settlement has unlocked "internet," which instead shares it with every settlement that has the "internet perk")). Thus, while many humans were expected to gradually follow the aquatic evolution tree (strong swimmer > amphibious > gilled (freshwater) > gilled (saltwater)), giving the devs time to finish the ocean update and fully implement the out-of-bounds deep sea zones, we instead rushed technology to the point where sea-based transportation is possible despite humans not having adapted to aquatic life.

NPCs are VERY advanced to the point where they actually did what Fallout 76 failed to do. Make every other player an NPC..... Everything else.... Is mixed.

I kept getting bombarded with advertisements for this place, and then I finally found this independent review. I was sceptical about the project at first, and when I bought it, and I played it, I got bored quickly. There is literally nothing to do except for this stupid game loop, but then I took a look at the Potoo and you were right, it is so worth it. Also I recommend taking a look at eagles and owls, the quality control is so bad, that it is almost funny again.
OK but the whole "pet dog" sidequest is pretty great, have you tried it? It's like an NPC companion who never talks, but you can hug them and call them silly names.

Fun Fact: Deja Vu is the only glitch that makes the player character aware that it's in a game, but only for a few seconds.
There's also "Depersonalization-derealization disorder" and other events, consumables and mental type illnesses that give you a "Dissociation" debuff which can cause this, but that's probably a feature, not a glitch. Probably.
