Wamalwa is extremely articulate and very calmly and explains issues clearly and authoritatively. At no point did he raise the tempo of his voice as he spoke He's an asset to the Azimio brigade. This was an enlightening discussion with an informed luminary. Thanks Citizen TV.
I enjoyed this discussion. Wamalwa came off as a sober, thoughtful lawyer and politician who has a strong grasp of Kenya’s political history as well as the current situation the common mwananchi is facing. He clearly is a political animal, however, with his full-throated criticism of the Kenya Kwanza government on some of the very same issues Kenyans had with the Jubilee government he was a key figure in. These issues include: 1) ignoring court orders and undermining the judiciary; 2) exorbitant government spending and heavy borrowing to fund it (recall Kanda borrowman) 3. Corruption (recall Uhuru lamenting that Kenya was losing Ksh. 2 billion a day to the vice); 4. Heavy taxation (recall, Ushuru Kenyatta, and other delightful tropes). It was a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black. In fairness, the irony wasn’t entirely lost on him and he did acknowledge some of these contradictions when Latiff and CT called him out on them. As always, a frank and well-moderated discussion. Keep up the great work.
@@anthonykimani1983 strawman argument. The point i am making is that 98% of kenyans vote for the person their tribal kingpins tell them to vote. There are leaders in both sides with next to zero "accomplishments" however you interpret that. You and the 98% pretend not to know of said deeds even when they are so glaring. Most of our reasoning about candidate X is so tribal you couldnt possibly convince me and the 2% who actually know what the country needs.
Tell us what he did to his people when he was the CS for water and Defence, nothing, he is trying to play an hero now but he can only fool the blind and the deaf. He mistreated the children of his brother after his death, he took all the properties from the orphans. If he can mistreat the children of his brother what can he do to this nation.
Spice fm. Why don't you bring back cj koome to the studio and ask some tough questions including the hotair thing. Remind her of 1999 attacks from the assistant minister ruto and how she felt.....and why did she forget so quickly????
Wamalwa should stop using "christianity" as an expedient cover now that he is out of power. I dislike these people who pretend to be calm and sober and reasonable when there backs are against the wall, but when they were in the drivers seat, they were high and mighty and dictatorial themselves! Wamalwa is like Joab - after conspiring with Adonijah and joining his rebellion against King Solomon - now clinging to the horns of the altar in the Tent of God, asking to spare his life! If he's a christian he should read up on the outcome of Joab's plea.

yet still when the time comes, you still wouldnt want to elect him at the ballot
Indeed. We have to vote for leaders based on deeds (track record of tangible accomplishments) not words.

We need more of such leaders on the panel, The sentiments expressed resonates with the current Mwananchi reality.

Eugene Wamalwa has suddenly seen the light? This was one of the previous regime's biggest cheerleaders. His advice is not needed.
if he has seen the light, why would his advice which appears sound even to you be disregarded.
