Putting a new components on a carbon frame while listening to a relaxing music. Wow !!! What a video! And it's not calling "building" because it's not a house or building , it's called "assembly'.
Wow, stunning! Gone are the days of my youth when we gathered all bikes or bike parts and proceeded to assemble two wheeled rocket ships! No need for all wheels to match sizes just needed to hold air! We rode all summer long, in dirt, on asphalt and even in grasses. We had our own trails up and down the hills and through the local gravel quarry. The most we spent on these was the price of a new pack of patches, or when there was no more room for patches, a new inner tube! You my friend have a serious machine, I hope it takes you as far as ours did.
Lol made me smile, the number of hours we use to spend walking around looking for dump bits of bikes, I found an Olympic London Claw Butler frame, it was 2 years before I found forks for it, had Daws engraved allay drops handle bars
I wouldn`t ride a bike like this one. I`d hang it in my lounge as a piece of art work and stare at it in awe. what a wonderful crafted item. English engineering at its best.
The video and editing on this was amazing. Not a bike guy, never heard of this company or product but could not have scrolled away if I could even think to do so.. I applaud the talent ad well as the craftsmanship. All perfectly executed. Thank you for that half hour of calm
This is the first time I’ve watch a premium bike build (and I’ve watched quite a few) and I haven’t thought “butcher”, it’s great to see so much care go in to a build.
Hope build lovely kit that works so well... I've owned a Hope front brake since 1998. Still does exactly what it's always done - stops me perfectly without fuss in any weather or conditions.
I haven't ridden a bike in years, but I STILL want one! Amazing, that the most expensive cars & bikes are built in beautiful clean, SILENT rooms. You could eat off that floor, but if you did, you're probably going to be arrested! I love these slow videos, so peaceful!
This is a very impoertant video... it shows that the highest level of passionate craftsmanship is still practiced... It is extremely rare today in modern manufacturing, but HOPE is a prime example that it still exists. Bravo HOPE!
Lucky enough to ride one that Matt at Chanies Bike Shop Milton Keynes lent me at Rushmere Bike Park. The camera doesn't quite pick up the Carbon weave it's just like nothing I've seen before just perfect symmetrical line you can just see the craftmanship were talking F1 level, and it's raw sketchy work not covered up by paint. Not shitting you it felt like a magic carpet with 29" the Ohlin upgrade look the bomb and was super plush, poppy when pushed but what made the bike for me was over jumps I could lay it down like a 26" bike the balance front to back was just trick, the wheel.size frame dynamics and weight distribution made it flow underneath me as you'd want. Made in the land of rocky brutality I'm sure it's bang on when the going gets roughneck but at the local flow trail and jumps it's was the dream bike do it all banger. Dang it.
That was such an education into the world of how a specialist bike is made. It was almost sacrilege to see him saw and hammer bits of the frame. WOW! Now I understand completely when I see the price tag for a bike. WOW! Video was relaxing to watch. Then to think of something so beautiful out in the world of mud! LOL! But truly a build of beauty.
Watching this video is like witnessing the most beautiful dance unfold before your eyes..... From the rough first steps to the most amazing spectacle at the end... WOW!
What a collaboration... Gee's artistry with the videography and the true artisan build of a stunning piece of machinary... wow! Oh and of course Hope makes a dropper lever and cable clips that i now NEED on my own bike... I feel most sorry for any current HB owner now this thing is available, money no object this has got to be a dream build for anyone, i'd want to hang it on the wall in my living room and just look at it, never mind riding or god forbid get it muddy !
Dunno why this reminds me of delivering newspapers on my $25 Sears three-speed bike in 1972. Was riding uphill, standing on the pedals, when the handlebars broke at the stem. Damn, that hurt - but not as much as the time I jumped on, my foot slipped off the left pedal and it felt like a rhinoceros had trampled my gonads. Good times on a bike.
I've never been a fan of the HB130 or HB160 but watching this and looking at the work going into the frame colour scheme I could be swayed into purchasing one if available to us mere mortals.
I'd be 100% too scared to ride this like the clumsy oaf that I am... it belongs on the wall, gently lit and admired by all. Stunning work folks of Hope Technology... stunning, stunning work.
What an exquisite piece of machinery. The thought that has gone into every component, The quality of the manufacture and assembly is quite extraordinary.
ОХ, как бы я тоже хотел работать с новыми деталями ... это прекрасно.мечта перфекциониста ,когда во всем порядок. а не так когда заходишь в сервис и начинает дергаться глаз)))
Serious piece of kit!!! I remember when I bought my first new bike, I traded in a bike that I built against a 1992 Raleigh pro race, hand built in Nottingham England, and I still have it!! So satisfying to have something and really appreciate the work that went into building it, my, how technology has changed. Happy riding
Great team, fantastic product. This video has quality and technical tolerances taken to the Nth degree. Well done Hope Technology, great British technology built with exacting beauty
This is so awesome! I'll always be a champion of a company that designs and manufacturers all of their equipment in house. Quite a feat. I'm confident that Hope and other English based companies will pave the way for the rebirth of the English Cycling Industry in the near future. In addition, every Hope product I've ever owned has worked flawlessly regardless of how hard I've ridden them. Keep up the great work! Cheers!
If the salaries needed to afford bicycles like these were more widespread then the revival of teh "English Cycle Industry" as you call it has a certain future. If the purchasing power of the average English household (including that of single athletes) remains the same, then they have little chance of becoming a major player. BUT: they make excellent products and will survive in their niche market. Anything made to this standard in a niche market survives.
@@team3383 I wholeheartedly agree, the purchasing power of households has been pretty dismal since wages have been stagnant while inflation has been on the rise. Regardless, maybe purchasing a bike completely kitted out with Hope Products is unfeasible for most but purchasing a stem or a hub from them is a more attainable goal.
@@kamilnaumowicz1635 Not sure that those seeking a stem or a hub will be purchasing from them either. Still expensive parts because "confidentially" made by pros for pros almost and HB aren't known enough to make a dent in that market - Parts volumes are very low as they are covered by mainstream manufacturers and discount outlets. Top of the range Shimano and Campagnolo parts can be had for discount prices.
@@team3383 I'd argue that paying $110 for a stem isn't that prosperous when paired with the great customer service and durability of the product. In addition, I've met plenty of riders running Hope gear so there's definitely a market for their products. Also, comparing Hope to Shimano or Campagnolo is problematic for several reasons. Firstly, Shimano and Campagnolo have complex supply chains that rely increasingly on outsourced labor which allows them to sell components for cheaper. Hope sources their raw materials and labor domestically. Secondly, Hope is still in its infancy as it only started in 1989. Compare that to Shimano which started in 1921 and Campagnolo in 1933. Lastly, I believe that individuals still take pride in purchasing products that are domestically made. I'm actually from the states and I know from experience that cyclists love their Chris King / Paul / Thomson components and they'll go out of their way to purchase them regardless of price.
nice one ... i had my bike build in frond of me 14 years before by my friend who does the job its a noname german frame1480 grams(titanium aluminium) no fancy parts on and since then i have only changed the chain and some cables its a robust bike and i wont change it for nothing as i have beat the hell out of it and still rolling
Holy crap have I been out of the game that long? I stopped riding MTN bikes when Rock Shock forks (or Shox - can't remember) was the newest and greatest thing to add to your bike. Now bikes have hydraulic disc brakes . . . crazy! That bike has to cost like $700 - $800; maybe even $1000 ;)
This music has zonked me out ... dreaming of that Ohlins suspension squelching over the bumps, sram XX1 indexing beautifully.. Pro 4 racheting away on the back
All that beautiful, pristine equipment, and the poor guy doesn't have an air compressor for the tubeless conversion. Kidding aside, the care and craftsmanship is outstanding. What a video.
Strange what we find to obsess about in the pandemic lock down. For me, it's torque wrench clickity clicks. I must have one of my own, I'll call it Cedric. Always had steel bikes, have never needed one, but Cedric will ease my new found addiction.
I was today years old when I learned bicycles had hydraulic brakes. Lordy. Whatever they're charging for these things it's obviously worth it. Nothing but excellence.
If anyone ever asks "What do you mean by attention to details?" . . . . . show this video ! . . . . . beautiful work !
I never realised quite how much work went into the frame alone. Sublime.
Shout-out to whoever worked the camera for this video. Thank you for the thoughtful angles, zooms in/out, and pans.
Putting a new components on a carbon frame while listening to a relaxing music. Wow !!! What a video! And it's not calling "building" because it's not a house or building , it's called "assembly'.
This is NOT a bike build. This is an ART SHOW! Kudos to doing the job right!

Grease that high on the paint bush hurt my head, also the hacksaw and file on the fork.A nice fine chopsaw and deburring tool. The rest was lovely
I was thinking the same, but a mate of mine showed me how to use a pipe cutter, cuts perfectly every single time, and leaves no burrs.
This is an industrial designer's fantasy dream...I can watch this all day long...next color please! :)
As an Industrial Designer, yup, I can vouch for that!! 👍👍👍 Brilliant video!!

Love the carbon details on the bike. You don't see that enough.
So many people would just put a sticker on and clear over it... y'all are madlads for sure.

Got an old alloy bike, so just stripped off paint and left it raw- love it, no worry’s on trashing such breathtaking job this dude just did😉
so relaxing, I finished the entire video without skipping.

That carbon fiber Wrinkled weave is a humble dream build. 👍🏼

Beautiful bike, build, music and video.
As for my next bike.........HB130! Stunning craftsmanship!
Wonderfully done. What quality of craftmanship.
Everything about this video hits the spot
I know absolutely jack about bicycles, but that is definitely NOT my daddy's Schwinn... Incredible rolling work of art!

Hey what’s up with those thumbs down? This is magisterial art of building a bike, what am I missing?
i'm close to tears. What a great clip.
This was so relaxing! Makes me want to make one myself! However they forgot to add the footage of the pedals being added! Was waiting for it!
For some insanely absurd reason you have to buy your own and install them...
The Hope dropper lever!!!
New seatclamp as well
Working there would be my dream job!
Quando la gente lavora con passione si vede!
One of the finest videos I’ve seen in some time, craftsmanship at its finest!
This is the real Hyper quality bike. awesome! nice works
What a beautiful bike. It was great fun to watch and super relaxing. Would love to do a job like yours
YES It was really a Dream build.
Thanks for sharing.
WORK OF ART.
This was so oddly satisfying to watch.
Made with such care and delicacy, just beautiful. Now to go and bash it down a mountain.😁
Speechless. The production value is incredible!
The level of dork that some people can acheive, amazes me.
Surely the most satisfying and calming video ever!

so good to watch hope(ing) to have a bike like this
Can't wait till I can afford to do stuff like this
Work on it, don’t wait😉
Excellent video.
Amazingly relaxing it was.
Well it was a lot cheaper than I initially thought it would be £6300 for the base model 130 and £7300 for the FR model. Amazing build quality.
