Your recipe is the best one I put cut up shrimp though and put scallops in it and crab meat in the stuffing and it was a hit it was like restaurant style it was excellent thank you for the recipe
Pretty tasty huh .lol yeah i am not a fan of plain fish, for Easter this year im making baked stuffed shrimp, it has the same stuffing with crabmeat :) thanks for trying this out.
Really like this recipe/approach. Maybe the best/ most popular chef on the internet, Jean Pierre, doesn't measure either, you taste and adjust. Good job!
So it's Good Friday and I just ordered my last order of the baked cod from Boston Market, only available the Friday's of the Lenten season. I came here looking for a recipe to make it whenever the mood hits me throughout the year. This one is the one. Thanks for sharing. I will be making this next Friday because I know I am going to have a hankering for it. Happy Easter 2021.
Wow..great recipe presentation. I just made this dish using Barefoot Contesa's recipe video which is similar to yours..but your's is better.. I didn't have any wine so I overcooked the fish and ended up breaking up the fish and putting it in salads. I'm excited to try again and use your yummy looking recipe. Btw..I love your Boston ?..mixed with New York ?? accent :)
@@oceanstatecuisine2110 I just watched a vid about the Station House fire located in RI. What a senceless horror story Fire is nothing to play with!! Be careful and happy cooking!!
@@belindamarie3222 I actually was suppose to rent the kitchen there, and I was working at guitar center and met great white before the gig at the station. I use to be a in band and we played there. so the new drummer of GW gave me a free pass to enter when I got off work, I headed there pulled in the parking lot and realized I left my wallet at work, so I went home... once home my dad calls me and tells me about the fire, I was a wreck and told him I was going to go in and told him I didn't have my wallet. I lost friends I knew and it was terrible :(
Now I am not a fish person but it does look good and am thinking the ingredients and the flavor seems like it might work just as good with chicken breasts. What do you think?
ok did the dish per instructions but -- I had no white wine on hand so used Holland House Marsala cooking wine and it was FINE - grated the rind of one lemon on top then sprinkled the lemon juice on top of the pieces of fish - there again FINE and the flavors were out of this world ! talk about a good recipe using cod, this is IT !
That sounds yum great choices you used, it is still good w/o wine.. but yeah wine and fish is a marriage. I love hearing when someone puts their love into a recipe :)
I watched your video again - so good! Was that end-result picture of the fish the same fish you demonstrated? The Cod you demonstrated on your video was placed long-ways with the plate before baking - that end photo was clearly different. Ya gotta be consistent or you'll get called out! LOL! I notice stuff like that. No prob.....anyway, Italians cringe when you put cheese on fish, to them it's as bad as a mortal sin - but I don't care either, I like the addition of parm. Also, I find the Old Bay to be very salty, and I'm not one of those "too salty freaks" - one has to be careful when using Old Bay Seasoning, it can over-salt a dish. I like the addition of the blue cheese dressing but I have never heard of the apspplessu, but I guess to add moisture it's a good idea - and who doesn't like applesauce? When I make this at my job, I'll be making 20 pieces at a time (for 20 people) I'll ise a big cookie sheet lined with parchment. Love the Ritz Crackers, too! Thank you again!!! ~♡~
You bought up some great feedback. you are right.. the fish I showed when I went over when its done, I forgot to capture that of my fish long after we ate the fish and I was editing weeks later, I realized I never took a pic of that.. I did say I found this image online 11:30 RI is a Italian run state with many fishermen, and we all use grated cheeses, but you are right that some disagree with using cheese.. But thats by upbringing and what we are use to it really goes great together.. RI has the best food I ever had. We go outside the box then the traditional seafood most of the other southern states have, for example deep fried and popcorn shrimp to us is not as tasty as baked stuffed shrimp or shrimp scampi, but again the food I make is more expensive and not as quick to do if you need to feed a family and don't have the time. Yes many spices has sodium. Try this just as i did and let me know :) Thanks Natalia
@@oceanstatecuisine2110 Thank you, friend, all in all, we're fish lovers! Give me a heaping, falling over-the-sides-of-the-plate Alaskan King Crab Legs for a snack and I am one happy chic! Onward and Upward, always something to learn! Thank you for what you do ~♡~ Ciao~♡~
Once I saw the garbage parmesan in a container going in I stopped watching. You watch chefs on t.v.? I guarantee you never saw them use that crap. Go grate some real reggiano.
I grate cheese, and store it inside those containers most of the time:) once the container is cleaned.Sometimes thou they don't have the good cheese where I live now, so then I resort to canned.
This recipe is lovely but if you don’t have the time you need to watch videos @ 1.5 speed. People make videos on a slower pace so they can explain the ingredients etc and everyone can hear everything. 1.5 speed is great for me to understand what’s being said don’t dis a video because you think it’s too long.
Commented about 2 years ago. Still good after all these years! Excellent down to earth recipe...and delicious!

Looks delicious will be trying ur recipe 2morrow...quick question about how much white wine did u use
Sorry for the delay. I never measure anything .lol about 3/4 cups :)
Which restaurants use the apple sauce and the blue cheese?
Now I am not a fish person but it does look good and am thinking the ingredients and the flavor seems like it might work just as good with chicken breasts. What do you think?
absolutely, Kat :) cool thing with cod not fishy at all, its what you add to it that adds the flavors. But chicken breast this would work well.
